Travelling on my own and staying for one night on business, this was not a pleasant stay. Friendly enough check-in, very basic room, single beds, lumpy pillows, no kettle or fridge in the room, and it's listed as a 4 star hotel! The cellar restaurant only serves ribs and had unfriendly staff who stand smoking behind the bar. The ground...

Just returned from a short break at this hotel. We were there on a half board basis The food was very good. Staff were all friendly and helpful, especially Conrad the Barman/waiter/porter. The tour of the on site Schnapps museum was a brilliant way of getting to know most people on the tour very quickly and a good time appeared...

Having just returned from 5 days at this hotel i can not rate the hotel high enough.it really was home from home ,everything about it could not be faulted. Special mention must go to the waiting and chef staff in particular Conrad and his colleague (Italian and not a good grasp of English),both were excellent in there waiting skills and...

Been a couple times for very good ribs, coleslaw and farlic bread. No menu here, only RIBs and more RIBs. Very rustic in a cosy cellar with some tables inside of big wine barrels. We had so many rins we need to carry some home.

There's not much to say, my feedback is clear. More details? The location is easy to reach and near to some local attractions (like the Tratzberg castle). The hotel itself can be considered a tourist attraction, a 15th century building with a schnapps-museum in the wine cellar! All the rooms are big, clean, silent, comfortable and bright. Everything works perfectly....

Fantastic historic hotel , very easy to get to from main roads. Outstanding welcome from hotel owner, hotel is family owned which adds to the charm. Very Comfortable bed and spacious room. Trying the schnapps was a highlight!! Plentiful onsite dining choices- we had dinner downstairs inside an old (large!) wine barrel - fantastic! Great history but with appropriate modernisation...

This is the Real Deal! A step back in time, they don't make hotels like this anymore. Modern convenience with old world charm. Our room had an oversized vestibule if you please, complete with lovely cabinets and dressers. The room itself spacious, charming, super comfortable beds, flat screened T.V. and all one might need. Our floor had its own beautifully...

Thank you to Michel, George and the whole team for making us feel so welcome - they really couldn't have done anything else to make our stay any better. Lovely rooms with one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. Every meal was delicious and the breakfast was fabulous with hot and cold choices every morning and good...

A wonderful way to see in the New Year, the hotel is on the outskirts of a small village on a road used by occasional heavy traffic, rooms are small to average size but everything else was of a good standard, the family members run the main services and are experienced and efficient, the food was excellent quality and service...
