Attractive traditional hotel set well up the hill outside Zams - much further than we had thought. We had the car and satnav, so not a problem. And as other reviews, we saw the owner give a lift to walkers next day. We asked for a balcony room and so were on the 2nd floor (no lift) and next to...

Gasthof Kreuz was a brilliant place to stay for a midway break as I hiked the E5 route this summer. We were picked up by the owner and the chef after a long day walking down into Zams on our tour de E5! This was not the usual service and therefore even more appreciated as we had suffered an extremely hot day! We recovered quickly and enjoyed a lovely meal with great views. The food was first class and the service impeccable! The staff made us feel like family. The Innkeeper Mr. Weeren was beyond helpful and gracious (funny, too!), Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Two of us spent 3 nights here, with the fine views of the mountain ski slope above us and the meadows beckoning for long walks.
