There were 3 of us and we had 2 rooms which were clean and comfortable. We also had dinner in the full restaurant and it was excellent. Breakfast was also very good. Friendly helpful staff. We left our car in the street outside , it's a quiet very pleasant small town. There is a boulangerie right outside which was handy

We stayed in the new part of the hotel, on the opposite side of the road to the restaurant. Our room was excellent, spacious, comfortable, extremely clean, plentiful hot water and great wifi. We ate in the Brasserie rather than the restaurant (this was closed) and had a good meal at a good price. The hotel was near to the...

Nothing to get excited about, clean and effective. No CNN or other English news channel on the TV, no air conditioning in the room (we were in the older, original side of the hotel). Our bathroom shower here was excelent btw. English spoken and staff were polite. We raided the boulangerie just over the road from the hotel for our...

After a dismal start (hadn't got details of our booking, then tried to put us in the old part, then tried a room with no shower, despite our having requested all these when booking) we were surprised by how good the accommodation was. Having read other TA reviews we asked for the new annexe over the road, which was amazingly...

Rooms are fine but the restaurant is great. We have stayed here many times as it's a good rest stop on the drive from Paris to Strasbourg via the slow route. We have stayed here many times and it is always an excellent stopover.

We've stayed at Le Cheval Rouge many times, because of it being such a perfect location for us. Now they have acquired the building immediately across the road from the original hotel, and decorated it in a contemporary way to the highest possible standards. It was really good and now it has gone up a notch, to GREAT.

The hotel is in two parts across a road. The older section has the restaurant and the refurbished part opposite has rooms and breakfast area. Made very welcome by English speaking reception. The restaurant although specialising in 'Pig Trotters' does have a varied menu as we are fish eaters and this was excellent and good value. Extensively use by 'locals'...

Not far from some impressive sights dating from World War 1, Sainte Menehould is a quiet town, in fact only a main road with some shops, cafes and this comfy hotel. We had a room in the new annex across the street: very new, modern and well appointed. And the best thing was the lovely restaurant in the old paart...

The Chevel have invested in a new modern annex opposite the main building. The bedrooms are superb, there is a lift to the upper floors nothing has been overlooked. The staff are helpful, good menu is offered in the older part of the hotel. Well worth a visit, a great over night stopover.
