One night stay, thank goodness it was no more. Place is very dated and shabby, very much a 80's motel rather than an expected nice Mercure hotel. Single glazed rooms were noisy, cold and the windows rattled. Décor was very dated, place needs a refurb throughout. Breakfast was not great. Hot food was out in the cold and not on/under...

Dear ChrisW178 Thank you for your review & comments, which have all been noted. I am sorry we did not meet your expectations on this occasion. With regard to the breakfast buffet, all hot food is presented & regularly replenished on a purpose built, granite topped counter with temperatures regularly checked. Once again, sorry we did not meet your expectations....

Four of us stayed two nights on a girls weekend. Plenty of parking and easy to find just off the motorway. We received a friendly welcome. Rooms a bit on the small side but we had a good deal so didn't expect the best ones clean towels and toiletries replaced next morning and clean and quiet. Common areas the same....

Dear Sara Thank you for your review and comments which are appreciated. Very disappointed with the Very small room squashed into it was 2 single beds. The room felt as though it should really only be a single room. No air conditioning, there was however a radiator which you couldn't turn off the room was far to hot even with the window ajar it was uncomfortable and I couldn't get a good...

I was here for a sports event so didn't really stay at the hotel much but room was simple yet clean, food was mediocre, staff was very friendly, depending on what room you get you might need to walk down a number of corridors and stairwells but nothing too dramatic. I can imagine during summer the outside space is a...

After a stressful week at work booked a last minute (thurs evening) spa nite with my best mates for Friday 3rd Feb 2017! We just wanted a chilled out night and for the £49.50 each package for the night including dinner and breakfast we weren't expecting 5* HOWEVER we were not disappointed! Lovely welcome when we arrived - pleasant staff...

Do not book a twin room in this hotel, it is actually a double, so not enough room for 2 beds. I stayed in a Premier in the weekend previously and both the bathroom and bedroom were twice the size. The bathroom was tiny with a half size length bath, not much longer than a shower, and it was narrower...

Stayed 1 night. Room was comfortable - very clean - staff were very good and helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was very good with a good selection of everything required. The grounds of the hotel must be especially beautiful in the summer and would make an ideal wedding venue. Also seems to cater for dogs very well. Would stay here again...

Had an overnight stay at the weekend with friends. It's a lovely hotel that needs refurbishment, decor and carpets especially. That said, the staff are very friendly and great at their jobs.
