Detailed Reviews
My family and I stayed here in the school holidays of December 2020. Sadly we chose a bad week to travel with torrential rain for the first two days which led to localised flooding throughout Noosaville. Thankfully our accommodation was comfortable! We stayed in a two bedroom townhouse which was so spacious. Bedrooms upstairs and living areas downstairs. The main bedroom had a queen sized bed and there was more than enough room to pop a king sized bed in there instead, which would have been the icing on the cake.
There was a spa in the ensuite bathroom that sadly didn’t work, but didn’t faze us too much. The townhouses have a full kitchen and laundry each which make them so easy to live in.
The resort itself is quite large, with three swimming pools to choose from, a jumping pillow and a small playground. The resort had advertised a kids club but it wasn’t running anymore when we stayed which was a bit disappointing. There is however a cafe which serves great wood ovens pizzas for a decent price.
One issue that I really had with the resort was the lack of security. During our time there (once the sun had come out) local teens were riding their bikes into the resort and using the facilities, being quite loud and proud about it too. Unlike most other resorts in Noosa, there is no fencing or gates to keep non-guests out of the park which does mean people will take advantage of that. It’s not really fair to the paying guests to have to share the facilities with loud, rude teenagers.
The locality is great though, but you definitely need your own car to head into Noosa (about 6km away) or to head to any other attractions in the area. Being away from the main part of Noosa though does mean it’s nice and quiet.
I would probably stay here again, but urge management to consider fencing the resort to keep guests and facilities secure.

Thank you for your lovely comments. Our region has awesome weather most of the year. It is sad that you got unlucky with it during your stay. It was a pretty serious storm! It sounds like you made good use of our facilities even though the bad weather. We are on 7.5 acres and we did have a group of teens decide that they would like to share the resort with guests. They were not dangerous, just teens being teens. We have addressed that problem and we should not see them again. We hope to welcome you and your family back to Ivory Palms Resort soon.

Ivory Palms is situated at the edge between Noosa and Tewantin. That guarantees you a different perspective on the busy Hastings street neighbourhood.
You get to enjoy Gympie Street, the beautiful Noosa river and its parks, shops & restaurants and the nore laid back, down to Earth Tewantin.
The resort itself has immaculate gardens, three swimminpools ( at least one with salt water), tennis courts, a small restaurant, several barbecues and lots of entertainement for children.
If you are traveling as a couple, I suggest you ask for a one bedroom unit away from the pools and preferably a ground floor. Some of them look over a pond, have a garage and a little veranda and give you the sense that you are in your own little house!
Peaceful, and not too far away from all the action.

Ivory Palms is a tourist resort with lots of facilities to keep you entertained; 3 swimming pools, spas, sauna, tennis court, play area for the kids and a restaurant. It is conveniently located, within a short walk from the Noosa river precinct and the yacht club.
The apartments range from 1 to 3 bedrooms, the lower floor ones having a small garage and the upper floor having an uncovered parking space. All have a small patio overlooking a water feature; creek, pond or pool.
The apartments are individually owned so whilst the internal layout may be similar, the quality will be variable. We had No. 59, single bedroom, lower floor with a garage. The integral kitchen, dining and lounge area was small, functional and reasonably comfortable with a nice view of both the creek and pool . The cooking facilities were restricted to a cooktop and microwave but the kitchen included most of what you will need. Whilst the apartment included a dishwasher, the limited quantities of crockery and cutlery tended to inhibit its use. The bedroom was spacious with a comfortable if enormous bed (I'm still looking for my wife!) The integral laundry and bathroom was reasonably large with a very welcoming and functional circular bath, spa and shower unit (impressive.) There was also a small wardrobe and storage room with a safe. The wooden patio furniture was rickety and overdue for replacement.
In summary, a nice resort, well positioned, well priced, reasonably comfortable and functional apartment. Hard to fault. Tip: don't lose your key as it will cost you $330 for replacement (we found it eventually!) RECOMMENDED.

Great Location but few run down apartments/ townhouse…. Specially 78 and 79. Charging $0.50 cents for extra detergent and dishwasher… seriously …
Kids play area needs a good makeover…. Cafe was closed all 3 days that we were there and with full house .. you’d would think that they would keep that open… had to go to near by restaurants fr eating. All in all good and value for money but with current busy tourism… you would loose if the apartments doesn’t get a makeover.
Reception staff polite except one staff on check in…she did feel like assisting while the other was trying too… All the best.

I really hate to give bad reviews but feel I have to let people know to make sure you don’t get this townhouse. we had a week booked here. We spent one night in our three bedroom townhouse (number 24) and decided to leave. It was old, dated, dirty and pretty unpleasant. There are marks and patches all over the walls, ripped bedskirts, little moth holes all over the curtains, and a bad smell throughout. Honestly I don’t think it has been touched in 25 years. Beds very uncomfortable. One shower, above the bath which is super slippery and broken shower screen. Lights are terrible. No lamps, no nice touches. Just feels shabby and unpleasant.
Outdoor furniture was just old plastic tables and chairs, in a really small space which is directly one the main road. No fence, so really doesn’t feel secure. Disaster with little kids.
We could probably just overlook these issues and deal with it but it’s location on the main road, right near a roundabout means it was SO noisy all night. The noise from the traffic was terrible. Couldn’t sleep at all.
The resort itself is ok, but by no means great. Iv never seen such old and crappy pool furniture. Only one shade umbrella by the main pool.
Games room is all coin operated so unless you have a heap of coins to burn, I wouldn’t bother. Maybe the other units on site are ok- and we were just unlucky, but overall I would stay elsewhere. Just doesn’t feel special, or like a nice place to stay.

Responded 8 Apr 2021
We are so sad to hear that your stay with us was not to your expectations. It appears that there were a few things wrong and we have missed them in our room checks. Some of the issues, we were unable to find. We did locate a couple of them though. We will have these all sorted out within 48 hours. We wish that you could have dropped into our Reception to voice your concerns so that we could have assisted you. There are a few issues that were beyond our control. We had a storm two days before your arrival and there was damage to some pool furniture and also a poolside umbrella. That will be sorted out during the next week. The games room machines are coin and token driven. You may have missed the token machine. You can place cash or coins in there and get change and tokens to use in the machines. It would be great if we could greet you again one day at Ivory Palms Resort.

We have just spent four nights in a two bedroom apartment (effectively three bedroom as a media/kids room had a sofa bed) at the resort with three children aged 11/11/13. We cannot recommend the resort highly enough for families - such a great destination in Noosa without the Noosa price tag. Three pools, games room, jumping pillow and tennis court (also available under lights at night) kept the boys busy while the onsite restaurant serves the best woodfired pizza in Noosa bar none (try the seafood pizza, and pulled pork pizza) and daily happy hour (3 hours!) serves up cocktails and the very easy drinking and cold PKs lager on tap. Venturing out from the resort the beautiful Gympie Terrace and Noosa river is within walking distance with all its restaurants, walking path and kids playground and Tewantin town is also very close, and Noosa itself accessible by the nearby ferry. Our interactions with staff were always friendly and helpful also. Highly recommended.

I had a one bedroom apartment near a pool, which got pretty noisy when monopolised by rowdy families. It’s more suitable for loud family groups than for the solo visitor. My apartment was ok, a bit tired for the price. It was fairly clean but there were cockroaches and hair lying around, perhaps the cleaners could be more careful. Basic kitchen with hot plate and microwave - the two frying pans were too worn to be really usable but everything else was ok.
You do not need a car here as the buses are quite good and you can get to Eumundi and Peregian by bus. Tewantin Marina and village are an easy walk and I was able to walk to Hastings St as I am not a lazy person.
Altogether it’s an ok resort that could use a bit of a makeover in some areas.

This resort is a great place to stay. It has several different sizes of separated accomodation. We stayed in a two bedroom townhouse overlooking the n heated pool and pond. The pond even has flowing water washing over the rocks during the day.
Local is great situated right next to the Tewantin/Noosa Bowls club and close to the river, Tewantin and Noosa. The river is easy walking distance.
Our townhouse has two bedrooms upstairs. One with a walk-in robe, spa and balcony. That other twin share with its own bathroom and toilet.
Downstairs has a fully equipped kitchen, laundry, separate living and dining areas, another toilet and a small TV room plus a balcony.
The management here is caring and personal. We were given a voucher as compensation for our room not being ready on time even though we didn’t mind. This prob only came about because it’s was an extra busy day and some staff were ill and replacements were not available.
There is a small cafe/ bar open at varying times.
Great place to stay. Loved it and the management we’re an added bonus.

This was our second stay at Ivory Palms, the first time was wonderful, beautiful house, furnishings, views, however this stay was underwhelming overall.
On walking into room 82 the views of a big roundabout outside was a bit of a downer. Kind of killed that holiday feeling for first impressions. I think people need to be warned about this before committing to the room. Inside the house was very clean but had a few issues. The strings on the sofa were shooting through the sofa so wasn’t comfy at all. We had to put blankets on top on the sofa to aid comfort. In between the main bedroom and the ensuite was a window with no blinds, so privacy was an issue. Some things you like to keep private.
The fan in the main bedroom was at the end of the bed and because my hubby is tall when he was getting changed he caught his hand on the fan which luckily didn’t break it but sustained a nasty cut.
The heated pool this time didn’t seem as clean. Lots of hairs wrapping around our fingers. Some of the sun lounges were broken also.
Don’t think we will be returning.

We have been staying at Ivory Palms Resort for over 20 years and in some years we have stayed several times a year. We have stayed in many of the one and two bedroom units overlooking the pools and some further away from the pool. Our most recent stay in December 22 was a real shock for us. Their prices have jumped by an enormous amount. Our December 2020 charges were $144 per night, December 2021 $189 per night and December 2022 $269 per night. Room charges before 2020 were very stable and about $144 per night.
By comparison we have stayed on Hong Kong harbour at Kowloon for $260 per night (5 star luxury) and a recent check shows the same price there. We have also stayed near Trafalgar Square in London for $260 per night (4 star apartment), Montmartre in Paris for $240 per night (4 Star apartment). Singapore Chinatown for $240 per night (5 star hotel room). So I would say that in my experience by comparison the charges for Ivory Palms are way too high. It is a 3 star hotel. We mentioned the high room charges to the new management but the reply was that they could not change the room price.
So we will not be staying there for a while now even though we love the place and have enjoyed our stays there. We have several other places on the Sunshine Coast where we have stayed that are more reasonably priced and we will be going there.

Hi, yes. There are buses leaving every 30 minutes from right outside the Resort and will go to the beach, another bus will go to the shops.
The Main Swimming Pool is heated however it may still be a little cool early if it has been a cold night. Generally the temperature is around 24 - 26 by midday in the winter. Mid September it should reach that temperature by about 10am roughly. From October it is generally warm at opening - 7am
