Highly recommended to stay in Portside Noosa Waters if you wish for a relaxing holiday near good water views, good fishing, nearby restaurants of Gympie Terrace (Noosaville) and Woolworths, BCF etc. shops.
This is our third time staying here due to Sydney/Airlie Beach/Gold Coast road trips and we enjoyed our multiple stays for much needed rest and relaxation.
Andrew the manager is also helpful and does his best to make your holiday enjoyable. He took extra effort to fit my last stay in - even at short notice - so he deserves kudos and a recommendation.
Rooms are spacious, amenities modern and the hot water is good and strong - needed for the recent winter weather when I came back from a morning's fishing on the nearby river. You can even fish from the apartment's backyard or fish in the river from a nearby jetty (almost opposite the yacht club). If you have a boat, you can moor it at your apartment and enter the river from a nearby loch system.
As others have mentioned, it is relaxing and water views from the upstairs bedrooms are good.
Enjoy the views, the water, the food and the fishing.

A perfect experience, I didn’t want to leave. Amazing location, you are right on the water, breakfast or a wine overlooking the beautiful view is relaxing. Great modern facilities create exceptional comfort and walking distance to many restaurants, yacht club and beach activities. Andrew and co are exceptionally helpful. It is now in my yearly calendar, can’t wait to return.

We loved our stay here. The staff were very friendly. We loved how it was a 10 min walk to all the shops yet felt like we were in a quiet secluded area. The grounds were lovely, each apartment over looking the water out the front. Plenty of take away options in Noosa. Lovely walking path near by, that goes along the water front to restaurants, playgrounds & bbq areas. I would definitely stay at port side again. The apartments were clean, spacious & comfortable. Each apartment also has a garage to park in. Our family enjoy our stay & can’t wait til Return one day!

At first sight unit seemed okay, but on looking around you could see it was very outdated, appliances very old, microwave was at least 25 years old, furniture has seen better days, curtains had holes, we had to wipe the outdoor table down and sweep the balcony as it had not been done at all. Carpet is very worn with patches and screens were not looking the best. There were holes in the bed sheets and they room had a very musty smell. Considering the way of life now with Covid 19 and the need for being very aware of hygiene and sanitation it was very disappointing. We made sure to sanitise things ourselves for the two days we were there. Would not recommend to go there.

An amazing experience, superb location on the water with breathtaking views. Great to have breakfast with the water view. Well located, well designed interior, roomy and functional with very modern facilities. Great service making you feel very welcome. The view from the upstairs bedroom is amazing. A must visit.

Andrew the manager made us feel right at home immediately on arrival. Just a beautiful place to stay away from home. We absolutely loved it and we will be back. Highly recommend for all family members. Where else can you fish from your front door.

We stayed here last year for a week and were so delighted with the accommodation and setting that we booked for ten days this school holidays. What a sore disappointment it turned out to be! Last year we stayed in Apartment 16 but this year we were allocated number 13 which turned out to be far inferior in just about all respects. We had assumed that all accommodation at Portside would be of a similar standard. Instead we found no. 13 was grubby and tired. While the bedrooms were nicely furnished and the beds comfortable, the furniture in the living area was basic, cheap-looking and inadequate for a family of four which included two teenagers (we moved chairs down from the bedrooms just to give ourselves more seating as the small modular sofa which was all that was supplied was fine only if we sat bolt upright at all times). Accommodation suppliers please note, putting a few prints on the wall does not constitute 'modern decor'. There is also no excuse for dirt. The garage floor had not been swept out, there were fingerprints and scuff marks on walls, hair and scum on the main bathroom wall and the cutlery drawers were grubby. Guests shouldn't feel obliged to put everything through the dishwasher before they feel comfortable having a cup of coffee. We complained to the Managers within minutes of seeing our accommodation but they appeared uninterested: blaming the previous managers for making the booking and ourselves for not specifying that we wanted apartment 16. We were told that as each apartment has different owners, the furnishings vary in quality. If this is the case, Portside's website needs to reflect this so that prospective guests can make informed choices. As repeat customers staying for ten days, I can't explain why we drew the short straw this time but I can confidently say that we won't be travelling 1000 kms to visit Portside next year.

Response from Rockeya, Manager at Portside Noosa Waters
Responded 29 Jan 2014
We apologize unconditionally for your negative experience at Portside Noosa Waters. Upon check in and subsequent your request to move you to your preferred Townhouse No 16, we checked to see if we were able to do this, unfortunately the staggered departures and arrivals prevented us from moving you. As new managers we greatly appreciate your comments and feedback as this is assisting us with our operational procedures review and improvements, which is now in progress. We are also revising return guest booking procedures to ensure that preferred townhouses are booked and if unavailable, a photo collage of the alternative units is emailed to enable guests to make an informed decision before confirming a booking. We are striving for continuous improvement and for your feedback we thank you, if you are able to overcome your disappointment and return to Noosa in the future, please contact us directly as we would like to show you our improvements and offer you a discounted package. Once again thank you for your feedback. Kind regards Andrew Rocke, Manager, Portside Noosa Waters.

I was expecting modern, classy townhouses from the pictures on the website, but only found dated units, small swimming pool, and poor management. The patio overlooking the canal is beautiful, but if you sit out there with friends and chat/laugh, you will be seriously reprimanded by management. Our first and only offense was met with threats to kick us out. What is the point of a holiday where you can't even enjoy the patio on a beautiful Queensland evening/night? Our group was mature but social...will find a different place next time for better socializing. The "mezzanine" level was quite small, website suggests it is on a different level than the other bedrooms, but in reality, all 6 sleeping spots were on the top floor. The single beds in the "mezzanine" were also quite hard/uncomfortable and very low airflow so it became quite hot. The swimming pool was quite meager as well - only good for a few people at a time. I hope the owner/manager avoids booking younger people (less than 40) in the future to save himself the trouble of tenents having a good time. The only plus? The price.

Unfortunately we were let down by our booking, as my friend who stayed here previously expected the same quality of room that she stayed in before. Our townhouse wasn't renovated and was straight out of the 80's with fish sculptures tucked in every corner. The whole townhouse needs an update, as we barely slept on rock hard beds with a noisy air conditioner and then a noisy ceiling fan. The only positive was cleanliness, it was spotless, except for dingy carpets and couches. So when you book make sure you request a renovated townhouse, to get your money's worth!

Stayed here for a long weekend in a two bedroom unit. Lovely location on the water, perfect for those that wish to bring a boat. Also a very short walk to Gympie Terrace so convenient for restaurants. The units are of different standards, some fully renovated, some partially, some not at all. We were in a partially renovated unit (6) which was very clean and nicely presented and spacious. There were a couple of small issues with the unit which did not affect our time there, however I mentioned them to the Manager on departure. I have to say I was VERY impressed by the high level of customer service I was offered in this regard. My feedback was gratefully received and it's clear they work very hard to ensure all guests have a great stay. The pool is located behind the units near the street and is not huge but it features a spa and is heated - the kids had an awesome time in there. Overall I would rate our stay as excellent value for money. I have booked again for January 2015.
