Travellers' Choice
The 5-star holiday villas in Rethymnon are built in a verdurous and particularly quiet environment, in an olive grove of 12.000 m², at the village Adele. Carme Villas has 12 individual 2-floor villas, each with a private swimming pool and a panoramic sea view. Here, guests can experience carefree holidays, and feel the calmness created by the superb sea-view and the imperious Psiloritis (Mount Ida), the highest mountain peak of Crete. The property features a lounge-bar, a restaurant, and a tavern-bar where visitors can taste traditional local dishes, delicacies & drinks. The property is surrounded by endless gardens of a great variety of plants & flowers, an aquarium, a small stone-built theatre available for possible events and a playground for our younger visitors. Our hotel is situated 800m from the sea and a 10 min.-drive from the centre of Rethymnon town.

The villas are very nice and were clean and tidy on arrival. We were surprised there was no tea or coffee making facilities available and considering breakfast doesn’t start until 8:30, which is quite late in my opinion, means you’re stuck for a morning wake up drink. As a morning couple not ideal! Lovely views from the villa and everyone seems friendly, just the niggle with breakfast and coffee.

I will not write an extensive review because there is not much I can add to what others have said. I will only say that the quality, cleanliness and beauty of the place is only matched by the owners' kindness, discretion and availability.

Well maintained self-sufficient villas with a scenic view and a peaceful setting. Private lap pools are very clean and well maintained. Immaculate lawns and greenery adds in the charm. One of the most expansive breakfasts with exquisite cakes and savouries unlike most European hotels. It's a family run setup with just 12 cozy villas and the hosts work tirelessly keeping to the needs of the guests. We are particularly thankful to Katerina who went out of the way like cooking up vegetarian breakfast especially for my wife and on our checkout day readied the entire breakfast spread earlier than the slotted time so that we could have breakfast before leaving. Haven't seen this sort of service anywhere ! She even took out time to write and explain a recipe of Greek Orange Cake to wife who loves baking. She even arranged a taxi to pick us and drop back to Chania Airport and also arranged a great deal for a rental car. The only 2 bits of a tad were the smaller bathroom which is on the ground floor of the villa and couldn't be used as it had no shower curtain/cubicle, so bathing there meant the entire floor being flooded. And the second bedroom is practically a tiny extension of the master bedroom with just a set of pull-out single beds leaving no space even to open the door. So, we ended up using the sofa bed in the living room as the second bedroom which itself was somewhat uncomfortable. But, besides this, the stay was great and we would highly recommend it.

We enjoyed the silent and beautiful place with view over sea and away from the hotels at the beach and their entertainment program you can hear in the evening (from the distance). The private pools are very nice, breakfast is good and the hosts are very friendly.

Luxurious villas beautifully situated in the landscape. The breakfast buffet has a nice and varied selection of dishes and if you are a glutein allergic or have celiac disease you can be sure that the hostess will take special care of you.
