The guides are knowledgable and professional. They care about the safety and physical limitations of their visitors. The food is excellent. Main course not fancy but good. The deserts are exceptional. Very friendly staff Well worth another visit

My girlfriend and I booked our trip on Jaguar House Boat (which is operated by Araras Ecolodge) through a local agent in order to go to the Taiama Ecological Reserve on the Paraguay river in search of Jaguars. TER is widely considered one of the best places in the world to see Jaguars in a pristine wilderness area that is...

Everything was excellent from our warm greeting on arrival to wakeup calls by the nesting Plumbeous Ibis just outside of our door. Food was excellent and wildlife were plentiful including visits by marsh deer, jabiru, and hyacinth macaws to name a few. We were fortunate to see a tamandua stroll past us on a trail. Caiman, capybara, and all kinds...

The Transpantaneira road has lots of flora and fauna to sight - before we got to the Lodge, we were lucky on our first afternoon to see a foraging ant-eater, lots of caiman lying sleepily on the wetland banks, and some lovely ibis. The Lodge has comfortable accommodation, delicious breakfasts and dinners, and the tour guides provide you with a...

Very nice lodge. First day was a bit of a waste, partly because of the weather. The second day was great, which more than compensated for the first one. We did the horseback riding tour and the boat river tour, and both were spectacular. Our guide Larissa was very attending and knowledgeable.

Excellent bird viewing, animal sighting. Very good walks, drives, especially good canoeing (with good views of birds near the river). Very pleasant and accommodating staff, good guides. Good setting, well-blended into the surround. Rich involvement in every way in the Pantanal region, with its special qualities. Food adequate and ample.

During August 2016, I spent three nights at the Araras Eco Lodge. My twin-bedded air-conditioned room had a large shower toilet area. Insect spray was provided. There were truck safaris as well as guided walks available. I took a morning walk along the Boardwalk to the "Monkey Tower" and was fortunate enough to see Southern Tamandua, South American Coati, Azara's...

The lodge itself has basic rooms, great food (some outdoor, dinners inside) and a good programme of activities led by knowledgeable guides. It's all about helping you get to see the wildlife (not...

We have our disabilities and find short-stay touring too much for us so we limited our two week Pantanal holiday to just two locations spending 9 nights at Araras Eco Lodge before going onto Porte Jofre for 4 nights. We were met at Cuiaba Airport by Tadeu, a guide from Pantanal Explorer, and he accompanied us for the entire holiday....
