The view from the balconies of this hotel really are the best thing, overlooking the Ag. Gordios beach and wonderful sunsets. This is basic accomodation, no frills, but perfect as a base to stay; a short 5 min stroll to local restaurants and the beach. A few reviews have commented on having utensils in their room, we didn't on our stay, which would have been useful for evenings when you want to eat a basic snack in, rather than going out. With the location, this hotel could be absolutely perfect if a couple of updates were made, such as not charging for the use of Aircon. The beds are very hard, which is to some people's liking, but if you prefer softer.. you might not find it the most comfortable sleep. Mosquitos are plentiful in the evenings, so 100% recommend bringing some decent repellent! The pool available to use at the adjacent hotel is great, spacious, plenty of sunbeds and friendly bar staff with reasonable priced snacks and drinks! Overall we very much enjoyed our visit to Agios Gordios and found the hotel a good base to explore from. Thanks!

Lovely, basic hotel that was quiet and clean. My room was spacious with a massive bed. Adequate kitchen utensils, but I only used the kettle - which was a little temperamental. There was a decent sized fridge which was very useful. The safe was small. It would hold a passport and money, but not a camera or iPad. I felt the place was perfectly safe. As a solo visitor, that was a real plus. The mosquitoes were a bit of a pain, so don't forget the repellent. Breakfast was basic and not really to my liking. Having said that, the yoghurt served with honey was delicious. The pool next door was perfect in my opinion. Never close to being crowded and a good mix of people. The music was a typical Euro-pop mix which I grew to love. The staff were friendly without being overbearing. The food was generous in size, really fresh and tasty and a very reasonable price. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the hotel and surrounding area and would recommend it to solo travellers who want to relax in a quiet, safe, friendly environment.

We visited in September and had a great time here. Yes, there isn't a reception open all the time but one phonecall from the pool bar of the Lido Sofia was enough to sort any problems. We knew we were arriving late and so contacted them and they arranged for someone to meet us to sort the room. Excellent breakfast and facilities from the pool bar. Definitely worth a visit.

Pros: good views, amazing pool, convenient location in easy walking distance of town and beach, nice balcony, mosquito repellent plug provided, good value for money. Cons: confusing signage- trades as Golden Nests online, but has been renamed Skyfall, which makes it and really hard to find! Not a very welcoming reception. Having to pay €5 extra per day for aircon seems a little mean. Also annoying not to be told about this at check in, so spent ages searching for a non existent remote control.

We book online under the name Golden Nest but now is called Skyfall, first problem when you come with the navigator. Is true, no receptionist waiting for you but with a call they come immediately. Decent room with top view of the bay. Limited breakfast served only from 8 to 9.30am. Peaceful area at 3min walking distance to the beach (a little walk up to reach the room). The most disappointing is that on Sunday the housekeeping don't clean the rooms at all. Our towels stay the same for 4days. In 2017 you cannot survive only with a great view, comfort, attentions and pampering are the key to success.
