The best hotel in Praslin. Les Lauriers is undoubtedly the hotel and restaurant we preferred (and by far!) during our two-week stay in Seychelles. Sybille and Edwin are lovely hosts, the staff are very attentive - discreet helpful and efficient - always smiling and attentive. They are divided into four to receive you and to organize the many activities (boat trips, diving, cooking lessons (try!), car rental, ticket reservation, reservations in other restaurants, etc.) The rooms, restaurant, reception and shop are tastefully decorated. The rooms are large and very comfortable, the beds delicious. There is a fridge, and (happy!) a Nespresso coffee machine (ideal for waking up!) The rooms and bungalows are surrounded by a quiet greenery and maintained daily by an army of gardeners. The restaurant is beautiful and overlooks the infinity pool where you will be served delicious cocktails (including the homemade cocktail to try). The hotel is about ten meters from the beach, a little secluded and quiet. The Lauriers restaurant and a must-see in Praslin - especially the Creole buffet on Wednesday and Saturday - we feast - everything is simply delicious - with a wide menu choice (Creole and international cuisine). We loved our stay at Les Lauriers and after visiting several other hotels and restaurants we recommend it 200%

Excellent hotel with spacious rooms and bathrooms for two people. Nice furnishing of wood. The staff is great, very kind and helpful. Always doing some work to keep the place nice and clean. And the receptionist oh my god.. this woman is just fabulous! She is always there and ready to help with any need you have like renting a car, ordering taxi from the ferry to the hotel, booking a tour for you, giving advice for good restaurants, beaches and places on the island. And doing all of that with a smile on her face, just makes you smile too. The hotel has a great restaurant with a nice pool beside which have its own bar for cocktails and drinks. They even have their own giant turtles in the garden. The location is perfect with many take away restaurants, supermarkets, shops, ATM and change in less then 3 min walk from your room. The Cote D'Or Beach is right in front where most of the boat tours start.

Beautiful structure with attention to detail, huge rooms and equipped with every comfort, even double shower and even outdoor shower. Great breakfast buffet and à la carte restaurant where we had dinner every night, having opted for half board. Dinner includes an appetizer and a main course of your choice from the menu (some, for example, lobster, there is a supplement, but it is definitely worth it!), followed by a dessert. Super friendly staff, a special greeting to Ronelle always super smiling who organized a rental with driver for Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette.

Lying staff, careless and rude owners. We paid full price for a facility that closed at 6pm all week (all services, guests left to fend for themselves). The half board was done at the restaurant next door, which was of low quality compared to the hotel (which served lunch). Twice the room door was left open, when we asked to be more careful, we were called liars. Liar even when we reported a German couple who were locked out in the evening because they returned after 6pm (even to them, "it's not true that no one was there). The hotel should have been closed (even for a TV program which ran in the evening), was under renovation, but to make money post-COVID, they wanted to cheat their guests. When asked for compensation for the lack of services (including travel agency trout), the French owners don't want to hear about it. You pay for everything as if it had been opened and you have to keep quiet. As a hotelier I am ashamed for them.

5 days spent at Les Lauriers in a heavenly setting, lush among flowers, fruit trees (mango trees, guava trees, papaya trees, banana trees) and birds. What a pleasure to be able to observe (bring binoculars) the cardinals, the fruit bats squabbling over a mango and the giant turtles. This garden, beautifully maintained by a friendly team, is in harmony with an eco lodge for which we fell in love. Top notch decor. Thank you to the professionalism and kindness of Sybille and Ronelle, but also to the entire efficient cleaning team. All the staff are available and particularly friendly. Last but not least, Bravo to the kitchen team who treated us to dishes so exceptional that our taste buds will not soon forget them. “Les Lauriers” is a particularly exceptional and inspiring experience that left its mark on us. THANKS. Will we come back? Certainly

We spent a week on the Seychelles and choose Les Lauriers after some research.
Superb experience when making the reservation and before our stay at the hotel, Sibylle was attentive and helped us along the way. Les Lauriers is located at Anse Volbert-beach, where you can find a few restaurants, some supermarkets all within walking distance.
The hotel grounds are amazing, clean, well kept, green and lush with palm trees, plants, bushes and trees all over. The rooms are big, well cleaned, huge bathroom and a nice patio outside.
When it comes to the staff, we found them to be really friendly and welcoming but what was lacking was the service at dinner time, more than often items were forgotten, and we could end up waiting up to an hour for our food. We brought this to the senior staffs' attention a couple of times, and we saw some improvement, but sadly the day after it was back to the same problems.
The food itself is ok, i would have wanted some more "local cuisine" and some food with more "zing" or taste, the best dinner experiences we had were the barbecues that was held a couple of times. No complaints there.
Prices at the hotel are as the rest of the Seychelles, really high and expensive, this is nothing to blame the hotel for though since the prices are at this level all over the island.
The beach, Anse Volbert is somewhat shallow, we visited a couple of times but found Anze Lazio up north to be worth the cost of a rental car.
All in all, a nice hotel that would have been 5 stars if the service at the dinner serving was up to par with the rest.

The rooms at this hotel were fantastic. Really big, well equipped with 2 person washbasins and walk-in showers. I loved sitting on the terrace and watching the birds in the garden. We were welcomed at the hotel with a drink, our bags were taken to our room and we were given a tour of our room. The boat trip to Curieuse island was fantastic value and we really enjoyed it. The hotel also arranged a hire car for us at short notice. I loved the hotel pool and gardens. The swim up bar looked fun, but was unmanned every time I was in the pool.
· Breakfast was good, but you had to find a suitable vessel like a glass for milk to go with tea and coffee. I think they should provide small milk jugs with tea and coffee. The night porter, cleaners and Edwin, the owner were friendly, but there was a European lady at reception who was not very helpful and whom I found quite scary. The other lady at reception was very helpful and efficient. Some of the staff in the restaurant seemed subdued and quiet. I think the biggest area of improvement for this hotel is in customer service and injecting some of that characteristic warmth and charm that the Seychellois are famous. The creole buffet was delicious, but the price as provided in the room information folder was incorrect and I found the bill confusing ( incl or excl tax ?) A much better experience is to be had at the Asian and Creole buffet nights at the nearby St Pierre Beach restaurant at the Paradise Sun hotel.

Apart from an average wifi connection and a first welcome far too oriented on the excursions offered by the establishment, our stay of 6 nights at the hotel les lauriers was perfect. The architecture of the hotel is in osmosis with nature with a nice swimming pool and its adjacent bar and the rooms are tastefully decorated. The location is central at the beach Volbert cove. But the hotel’s main strength is its restaurant and staff. We feasted there with a bonus of 2 theme evenings on Wednesday and Saturday evenings. A form of tranquility reigns in this establishment where all the staff smile. Small area of improvement: it would be great if giant turtles, located in an enclosure, could walk freely in the green areas of the hotel.

Great accommodation, strategically positioned just across Cote D’Or, one of the most beautiful beaches of Praslin. An eco-friendly hotel to the bone, each room is charmingly furnished and spacious, wifi excellent, bathrooms well appointed with a practical outside shower and separate entrance for when you return from the beach, nice porch to relax on, lovely garden, delicious breakfasts with eggs cooked to your desire, daily freshly made patisserie and yogurt and fresh fruit. Fantastic hospitality by Sybille and Edwin and all the staff. Sybille runs the show on hotel side with her charm and attention to detail whilst Edwin runs the show in the kitchen, cooking some wicked barbies which always guarantee a full house and organising excursions and fishing trips on their boats! Don’t forget to ask for some fresh citronelle (lemon grass) to enjoy for a well deserved break on the porch!

Very pleasant stay with Sybille and Edwin, the friendly owners of this well-known establishment, rightly so. The rooms are very pleasant, with a private outdoor shower, in addition to the very large indoor shower! Top-notch catering, we enjoy Creole dishes with a special mention for the fish! Very complete breakfast with succulent fresh fruit.
