Along the northern coastlines of the picturesque Praslin Island lies Pirogue Lodge, a charming, family owned small hotel consisting of 6 standard rooms, each facing the sea. Nicely decorated with simple wooden furniture and paintings from our local artists, each room radiates the creole serenity and calm. A private verandah with relaxing chairs is there to capture the azure ocean view.

Excellent experience!! We stayed in this small hotel after 5 days in Mahè and there really is no comparison!! In addition to the location of the property which is excellent, facing the Cote d'Or beach which is absolutely the most beautiful on the island... Spotless rooms, equipped with all comforts, very kind staff always attentive, cleaning twice a day with change of beach towels all the days.. very good restaurant both for breakfast and dinner.. ours was a honeymoon and they really pampered us! The staff truly exceptional, thank you thank you thank you!!!!

Our second week on Seychelles was on Praslin and we wanted to find a nice small hotel which allowed us to discover the island and restaurants. Pirogue Lodge is a great small hotel with a fantastic team of people that welcomes you with a smile and always tries to make you stay as good as possible. We knew Côte d'or was a nice location from another holiday in Seychelles so this hotel was a perfect fit with that location on the island. It was that good and comfy for us that next time on Praslin we go back to Pirogue lodge. Great price / quality level and so easy to switch from the small pool to the beach which is just in front of the hotel. Already looking forward to the next time we go back to Praslin and to Pirogue Lodge.

We stayed 5 nights at this property and were more than satisfied. Spacious and clean room and bathroom just as much. Staff always available for anything and very kind. Possibility to rent a car directly at the hotel, very efficient service. Beach towels are also available and can be replaced every day. Breakfast without praise, but still satisfactory. Excellent location on the seafront of the Côte d’Or, easy to get around on foot and is served by numerous restaurants.

We stayed 5 nights at this small beachfront hotel with an excellent panoramic view. I thank all the staff, all very welcoming and helpful. Cleanliness of the room excellent. He changed beach towels several times a day. Valid support in car rental which is brought directly to the hotel. I highly recommend half board as the pirogue restaurant has one of the best on the island, with a varied and excellent menu. Excellent mojito to try Without a doubt I would choose it again.

I really had an amazing time at Pirogue Lodge. The location is perfect, on beautiful Anse Volbert with loungers available for free by the hotel. The room was great too, clean, with nice balcony, black out curtains, bidet, fridge, powerful shower, safe, etc. I can't really think of anything I needed that wasn't already there. Bernadette and the rest of the staff were really helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The checkout was a bit early, 10am (but actually not that early for the Seychelles, in another place we had to check out even at 9.30!!!) but they let us use the free loungers after that and they made a room available for us to shower and change before our flight. The food is nice, both at breakfast and dinner. If I really have to find something to improve on, I would say the air-con is a bit too loud and the sausages at breakfast aren't great. I recommend sitting on the sea-side part of the restaurant where you are normally greeted by cute little orange birds (they seem to like rice).

We stayed 4 nights at Pirogue Lodge in Praslin. It is a small structure, the hotel has only six rooms. These are comfortable, clean and large enough. They all have a terrace which overlooks a very pleasant small swimming pool which allows you to relax after a day of walking. We had half board and we ate very well. It's a good restaurant on the Côte d'Or. The beach is located in front of the lodge, you cross a small road. Deckchairs are available. The beach is large and very pretty. The staff is welcoming, always smiling. They speak French. A big big up to Bernadette who helped us choose our excursions, she is efficient and was lovely with us. We really appreciated this very friendly little structure!

Boasting unobstructed ocean views, Pirogue Lodge is truly a gem. Even before I arrived, the front desk staff were incredibly helpful and booked an excursion for me. The pool is one of the cleanest I have ever seen and was ideal for cooling off in that intense Praslin heat! The rooms are extremely spacious and appear to be recently renovated. The restaurant serves food all day long in an open air setting and has an extensive drink menu. Additionally, Pirogue Lodge is a perfect place to stay if you plan to visit Curieuse Island because boats depart from the beach directly in front of the hotel. Pirogue perfectly exemplifies the ultra relaxed energy of Praslin- an island not to be missed!

I do not know where to start. Nadia and all of the staff are amazing. They made our stay a paradise. The service is flawless, from cleaning ladies to bar personel, restaurant and all staff. A big thank you. We love the "nothing is impossible" -attitude and very caring. The rooms are big and tidy, big balcony with sea view. 20 meter walk to the beach and sunbeds were brought to the beach by the hotel. Good nice restaurant. Very nice individual breakfast. Nice small pool to make a short stay before go to room and have a shower. Best ever, good price and highly recommended.

Hi I stayed at Pirogue Lodge one month ago and I will try to answer some of your questions. When you arrive at the airport in the morning I would fly with Air Seychelles to Praslin it's about 20 min. You can take the ferry but it leave Mahe around 7.30 or 10.30 and you have to take a taxi to the harbour. The ferry takes 1 hour. The hotel can send a car to pick you up at the airport or at the harbour on Praslin the transfer is apx 30 EUR. Check-in time is 2.00 pm.
The hotel have 6 double rooms 3 on the ground and 3 on first floor. All of them have the same standard and are good in size with AC, safe, minibar, kettle and TV etc.
Very close to Anse Volbert beach apx 20 meters.
There are more places to choose from in the Anse Volbert area.
