For my week-long stay on Praslin I decided for the fourth time to stay at Berjaya.
I booked a deluxe room.
My room, located upstairs with pool views, was newly renovated, large, decidedly clean but a little dark.
The room was equipped with air conditioning, refrigerator, safe, flat screen TV and kettle for tea/coffee making.
The bathroom was spacious and had a window to the courtyard.
The bed was comfortable and the large balcony was furnished with two wooden chairs and a table.
The room was cleaned very thoroughly daily.
Outdoor area and pool were well maintained.
Loungers by the pool and on the beach were available in sufficient numbers and free of charge.
The breakfast was typically unvaried Seychelles...But no one had to go hungry
My big thanks go to the staff of the Berjaya for this successful holiday.
The whole staff was very friendly and helpful.
A special thanks to Mr. Shakeel, who at all times attentively and courteously took care of the small problems of the guests....
Bottom line: those looking for luxury are out of place here. Otherwise, the Berjaya Praslin is a pleasant three-star hotel at a good value for money.

Great location, right on the beach and near plenty of places to eat and supermarkets. Handy bus stop right outside the rear security gate making exploring the island a doddle. Room was very spacious and airy, bathrooms needed a refurb, and had some drainage issues. Breakfasts were good and actually ended up being the best we had in the Seychelles, being far better than we experienced in supposedly higher graded hotels. All staff were friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Bilal, Guest relations manager, who was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, both whilst we were at the resort and also assisted us afterwards, helping arrange transfers etc. Would not hesitate to return:-)

Berjaya is a simple but well located resort. Quiet, non pretentious and well maintained, with spacious rooms. We stayed in a renovated deluxe room in front of the swimming pool, it was perfect. Some other rooms have still to be renovated. A 5 min. walk away is the best part of the Cote d'or beach and ouside the hotel you have souvenir shop, minimarket, take away and restaurants. The pizzeria right in front of the beach is part of the resort and food is good at a reasonable price, although buffet was listed there was à la carte choice every day.
Breakfast buffet had everything and top is the freshly made eggs and omelettes. The only disappointment was the lack of atmosfere as the bars were closed due apparently to staff shortage. We would have at least appreciated a background music at the pool.
The staff is helpful and kind but a special mention goes to Bilal who made our stay in Seychelles easy, comfortable and happy, great job! One of the most helpful hotel staff member I have ever encountered, thank you.
Would be back should I visit Praslin again.

Long journey, which was made as pleasant as possible: At each transfer station there were already friendly employees of the Mason ́s agency ready, who forwarded us directly and in some cases already took the luggage.
We've never had this so well organized on a trip.

Also at the hotel we were warmly welcomed with a delicious welcome juice and informed about everything important. Have felt directly comfortable and very well looked after.
We had a large room with extensive balcony, which was very nicely laid out in the green garden.
The whole team from reception to kitchen, service, cleaning, gardeners, craftsmen etc. was extremely friendly, helpful and courteous.
If there was anything to complain about, it was taken care of within minutes.
Of particular note is Bilal, which ensures the well-being of every single guest with full commitment around the clock. Always available, stands by with advice and action in any matter and has many valuable tips. Also comes to the hotel on days off to check on guests. He lives for his profession, as he says himself, and you can tell.
We have never experienced such excellent service anywhere else before.

Ideal location right on the long beach, which is well suited for walks.
Loungers can be rented free of charge at the hotel, beach towels are available for a deposit.
We saw some little rays. They're supposed to be harmless, though, as long as you don't step right up. We always swam easily in the sea.
Pay attention to the seasonal currents and corresponding algae occurrence!
We were on the “right” side in the summer, on the opposite side of the island everything was full of algae, as expected.
Bus stops in both directions just behind the hotel. This allows you to get around the whole island very inexpensively and fairly reliably.

Breakfast buffet rich and delicious, Take Away/Pizzeria La Mer next to the hotel offers good and cheap food (environmental tip: bring your own box saves a lot of packaging waste!)
Pool is a bit older, but perfectly adequate for swimming and is well maintained several times a day. There were always free (very comfortable) loungers and umbrellas.
Too bad it’s so far away – otherwise we’d definitely come back more often.
Highly recommended!

Rooms are older but well maintained and clean! Location is Ideal for trips, swimming, dining out..... Hr Bilal gives you good tips on where to do what and especially how best to do it. His recommendations help you to explore the area optimally and find the best spots for activities. In addition to the ideal location and the well-kept rooms, the personal attention of Mr. Bilal contributes significantly to the well-being. On arrival, he takes the time to make individual recommendations, whether for cosy restaurants, hidden bays or worthwhile excursion destinations. This personal touch makes the stay particularly pleasant and ensures that you feel in good hands. The combination of traditional charm, clean accommodation and excellent service makes this accommodation an ideal base for unforgettable holidays.

My stay at this charming resort was a complete success ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
The room was uncomplicated and it offered everything you need for a pleasant stay: a cozy bed, a fridge, coffee and kettle, reading lights and UK sockets (which are easily suitable even without adapter for German appliances).
The room has a slight vintage charm, is superbly maintained and sparkling clean – you immediately feel in good hands 😊

A highlight is the attentive team, which is always friendly to the side. The resort manager in particular personally takes care of his guests and gives great recommendations on excursions and special experiences on the island – and these are even free! 🌊🌴

The pool may be compact, but with its clear, daily purified water, it is a great place to relax and refresh.
Occasionally, the pool bar is also open, so you can treat yourself to a cocktail there. 🍸
Breakfast is served as a small buffet, and there is something for every taste.

A great resort for those who appreciate a relaxed atmosphere and personal service! 👌

Berjaya Praslin Resort review

Berjaya Praslin Resort offers a relaxing retreat with its dreamlike beachfront location and welcoming atmosphere. The resort offers comfortable rooms, excellent dining and proximity to Anse Volbert beach, as well as attractions such as Vallée de Mai.

The service at the resort is remarkable, especially thanks to Bilal Malik, who does everything to ensure that guests enjoy an unforgettable stay. His personal approach, local knowledge and willingness to clarify concerns or make arrangements – whether it’s room upgrades, car hire or individually tailored activities – make for an extraordinary experience. Guests often highlight his professionalism, friendliness and ability to turn challenges into positive experiences.

Overall, Berjaya Praslin is an excellent choice for a relaxing holiday in the Seychelles, enriched by dedicated staff such as Bilal.

My stay was a nightmare. Not only did the tour operator CREO / CREOLE offer no on-site assistance, but the assistant named LUANA who was supposed to help and guide customers showed up as soon as they arrived at the facility (not even time to settle in and cool off after 484949 hours of travel!!) to sell her excursions at exorbitant amounts, saying not to trust anyone else because it would not be “safe” to buy them elsewhere or from anyone, once sold, disappeared into thin air.
Another sore note: the food served, inedible and of poor quality. Also, I found cockroaches in the dining room, which is a really disgusting situation. In the room, the mattress was old and uncomfortable, prevented me from getting a decent rest. Cleanliness of the rooms left much to be desired, with dust and dirt everywhere. An experience absolutely to forget. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

My wife spent a week on Praslin to celebrate our anniversary. Upon checkin, we were greeted by Bilal; one of the hosts who welcome you and provide much useful information about navigating the island and its sights. Lots of very useful information such as prices to expect for services in the area, how to effectively use the public transit and assistance in obtaining a bus pass and sights that we might visit. The resort is very well maintained and the rooms are cleaned daily. The staff are warm and welcoming. It was not possible to pass a staff member on the resort grounds and not be greeted. Our housekeeper was exceptional and really took an extra effort to make our stay pleasant by crafting hearts, swans with our towels as a way to welcome us home at the end of the day. The restaurant next to the lobby offers excellent breakfasts and we highly recommend reserving your room with at least breakfast included. The food is wonderful and includes many hot entries including custom prepared omlets/eggs and fresh fruit, breads, pastries, ... There is a beachfront restaurant as well that offers both dinners and "take-way". Our next visit will include dinners as well. If (like us) you are a diver, there is a dive shop next door to the beach-front restaurant that offers a variety of dive options. The beach like most beaches on Praslin is beautiful. There are also various private businesses in the area (Bank/ATM, food marts, small take-way restaurant, ...) that are within a city block distance. We are departing today and Bilal has arranged for a taxi at an excellent rate along with suggestions for navigating our final one day stay on Mahi. A wonderful stay.

Berjaya Mahe is a different resort located on Mahe island and Berjaya Praslin is on Praslin island and these two islands are 45km apart. From Mahe airport you can take the domestic 10min flight to Praslin (domestic terminal is just behind international terminal, very small airport) OR you could take the 1hour ferry ride to Praslin from the ferry terminal on Mahe island, which is 8-9km from Mahe airport. From Praslin ferry terminal or airport you can get a taxi to Berjaya Praslin. However, a self-drive car hire arranged beforehand may prove to be better as some companies provide you the car at the airport/ferry terminal. Starting approx 40€ a day for hatchback, it's nearly the same price as a one way drop to your resort by taxi.
