Detailed Reviews
The hotel is 4 star hotel, but still nice furnished. Little bit rustic style. Location in beautifull. Breakfast is quite good. There was enough food, but I didn´t like that birds could fly inside the room. Beach is really good. The stuff were really friendly and they organized a private trip to La Digue at a short notice

we went there in june 2021 for four days. I will just give positive impressions about this hotel. All is perfect ! So simple ! I will particularly stress the kindness of the staff. I mean all the staff, beginning at the desk, then in restaurant, and also in the kitchen, ( where the cook made me a nice chocolate cake for my birthday. It was a surprise.), the ladies preparing the room are also very kind and attentive to your everyday confort, the old gardener......
Thank you to them all, because they really take care of us and made everything to help us after an accident I had on the island.
Be sure we'll be back !

Besides the fact that the hotel grounds are incredibly lovely, the staff's hospitality is over the top. We have enjoyed every bit of our stay at this hotel and I totally recommend it to anyone to experience. The staff is highly professional and very kind, they have done everything in their power to make our stay dream-like. Thank you so much to all the staff members!!!

Oh dear :( We stayed here for 4 nights on our honeymoon after a fantastic hotel stay and wedding on La Digue, hoping that we would find a fantastic luxury hotel experience for such a special occasion. I'm sure this hotel was 'luxury' once, but it's now all looking a little tired. The package we booked advertised an 'In room welcome with delicacies' which we did not receive. It also advertised a 'Special Honeymoon dinner' which we had to go to reception to ask for, as none of the staff mentioned it. None of this made us feel very special.
The room was spatious and the bathroom area very nice. However, the air conditioning unit was very old and loud, it could not be left on at night as you would not get any sleep! The wi-fi was terrible and hardly ever worked. The bed was very hard and quite uncomfortable. The pillows were awful, they looked and felt very old. There was no bedside table on one side of the bed, so we had to use a make shift chair!
The food was all buffet style. It was mostly decent food, but I would not expect a buffet at such an expensive hotel. The wine also seemed very expensive and over-priced for the quality.
All in all, we found the hotel very expensive considering the quality. Some of the staff were quite surly and in general we did not find it a friendly place to be. Even the Curieuse snorkelling trip offered by reception seemed very overpriced for what we received. We were taken to Island and dumped on the beach with no offer of any instructions or information about the island at all.
As this was our honeymoon we were sadly quite disappointed.

We spent 3 nights here and it was NOT worth the money!!
We expected a superb stay in Praslin and got an outdated resort that should really take a look how u operate a hotel in the 2020’s. Felt like going to Gran canaria in the 90’s.
First of all they needed tons of info at checkin and there where a list of does and don’t:s and times for all bars and restaurants (u cant keep all that in your head anyway). They said that it was a strikt rule at dinner for men to waer long pants. But when we arrived all dressed up some guys had sport shorts on.
The rooms were very nice (we had the deluxe room with seafront). The decoration and the spacious layout was great. But the people who installed all the Cold white LED-light should really not work with lights!
The restaurant area is great (should update linnen, chairs and so on) and is located over the bay with light pointing at the ocean.
Breakfast was ok, love the fruit!
Lunch was served at the poolbar and was alright. The usual like clubsanwich and burgers and so on. The barstaff was good, an indian guy and he was awesome.
Dinner was not very good at all. The food was not very tasty and the veriety was poor. We had the unfortuned luck to stay during Valentine and the Valentine dinner was probably the worse meal ive eaten! The composition was really wierd and the menu was all over the place. A buffe chef shall never do a set menu, period!
The pool area is very nice! Prob the best ive seen in the Seychelles. Kids love it and we did to happy to say (because the beach isnt very good)
The staff are probably doing their best but i must say it seems like they have problem comunicating with each other. And some of them work superslow. It took for exampel 15 minutes in the poolbar for us to get a menu and there were 4 people working and only had like 4 tables with guests.
If u are used to good food and a service standard that is above avarage u should not go here! If you havent been on holiday since 1982 please go - You will love it!
And finally! PLEASE take the cheap LED lights in the bar and restaurant and throw them in to the sea!

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for taking your time to share your experience and opinion with the Trip Advisor Community. Each Resort in the Seychelles has its own character and charm and we are naturally disappointed that our hotel was not for you. We are delighted that you enjoyed our breakfast offering and our swimming pool but disappointed that some of your experiences were not a true reflection of the service standards that we are renowned for, we will certainly review some aspects of the below with our Management Team and taken corrective action to prevent a reoccurrence in service mishaps. Our hotel is committed to preserve the environment, thus we will not follow your suggestion to throw old bulbs in the ocean. Thank you once again for taking the time to share your experience. Sincerely,

We spent four nights at La Domaine when in Praslin. It is a great location and the beachfront villas are exquisite. The breakfast and buffet dinners are very good and varied. The staff service level except front desk needs a little bit of trimming to get 4 or 5 from us. The plates are taken away before we are finished, and the tone when asked a question is a bit curt and inflexible. The lights go on at dinner way before the restaurant will close, and it always opens a few minutes later than scheduled.
A little bit smoother management would probably fix these issues immediately, and give better grades in the future.

We stayed there for 6 days in the midst of the Covid-crisis, and the hotel was near-empty. We were upgraded to a very spacious room with direct access to the beach.
The service was friendly and attentive, and the food great despite the kitchen not being able to serve "à la carte" menus.
All in all we had a great time and are very grateful to the hotel and staff for the friendly welcome.
100% Recommended!

We stayed in a different hotel each night of our honeymoon, and this was probably the most unique (in a good way) stay of them all. The mountains feel close enough to grab, there's snorkeling right on the property, and the design of the rooms all feel like you're living in the middle of the jungle. The food was great, and staff was very kind. My only complaint is that the beds were not comfortable.

Personally I used a credit card with a favourable exchange rate (Halifax) and bought Rupees at Mahe airport - there is a kiosk outside and this was open even a 6am in the morning and was open when we left to change any money back to Sterling (you can't change it up when you get back). Trips are priced in Euros even on Praslin but you can pay in local currency as well.
Personally I wouldn't take Euros as you may pay commission twice as they will take commission into account when pricing a trip or whatever. Sterling is a no go. All the shops etc take Rupees and we just paid for everything in Rupees or by card
