Finally, watch out for sand fleas. Avoid the beach before 10 a.m. and after 4 p.m.

Disliked · The proprietor wasn't my fav person I met in Seychelles, professional and friendly but I found her manner a bit stern. Maggi is awesome, she helped me out with an issue. Their taxi driver Robert charged me just under £20 for the 5 min journey from the jetty, I managed to get a return taxi for cheaper. You can get the bus to and from the jetty but not sure if you can take luggage on it

We were greeted with a really delicious fresh juice.
The apartment is clean and beautiful, big enough and has everything you need.
Full kitchen, a small sofa, a beautiful four poster bed a comfortable bathroom, and a balcony with sea view.
We took advantage of the laundry service that costs 25 €, quite expensive but we needed it.
The staff is very friendly, we had only one small problem: after the first night we ordered breakfast in the room agreeing the service the afternoon before (15 € each for coffee, milk, juice, bread with jams, fruit, 2 croissants and eggs). After finishing breakfast, since we didn’t like it very much, we left over 1 or 2 pieces of bread, some jam, butter balls and a croissant that we kept in the fridge and in his basket in the kitchen so we could eat it later or the next day. Upon returning after a day at the beach we realized that the cleaning lady had thrown away everything we had stored (except fruit).
I went to tell the reception where at first I was told that the cleaning lady fixes everything when she arrives and so it is normal like this, after having reiterated that we paid for that food and not a little, so if we save it to eat it later there must be no way that someone throws it away, then she apologized.
At the check out the young lady of the staff brought up the issue again saying that she had reported it to those who take care of the cleaning but always before telling us practically that it is normal that we throw away the stuff... to my umpteenth “even not since that food was ours, it was paid for and you do not have to put your hand in our things in the fridge” told us that we were right. That said, we expected at least 5€ discount since some of the food was thrown away but this did not happen and this thing annoyed us a bit.
That said however we recommend staying at this place also for the good location in front of Anse Volbert.

Like pretty much every beach on Praslin, this one is simply beautiful.
But you should pay attention to the time of year - otherwise you might have to deal with seaweed.
The complex is very well maintained and the staff is incredibly friendly.
The rooms were all clean and were cleaned every day.
The rooms have a kitchen (sink, kettle, toaster, dishes), couch, air conditioning, ceiling fans, bed, cupboards, TV, WiFi and a bathroom.
Our room had a terrace with a view of the sea.
It is possible to book various trips directly through the hotel.
The public bus runs regularly and is the cheapest way to get from A to B in Praslin.
We still decided to rent a car - there are parking spaces right next to the complex on the street.
Breakfast was prepared every day in the existing kitchen according to our wishes and served on the terrace.
We can only recommend L'Hirondelle to anyone who likes self-catering.
Shopping facilities are less than 5 minutes' walk away. There are also restaurants and (more importantly) takeaway.
The pictures on L'Hirondelle's homepage are not misleading, so if you want to treat yourself to a little taster, you should stop by (;
10/10 - we would spend our time there again at any time.

There is a food truck and a takeaway restaurant nearby where we could pick up all kinds of curries, fish and burgers at reasonable prices. There are 2 small supermarkets in the immediate vicinity, where we stocked up on butter, toast, tea, orange juice, chips and fresh samosas. The public bus stops right outside the door.

Very friendly and helpful owner. The room is very cozy and lovingly furnished with a very large and great bathroom.
Every morning the staff prepares fresh breakfast in your room while you sit comfortably on the balcony. If we come to Praslin again, we would book L'Hirondelle again immediately.

Edwina, our cleaner, is sweet and efficient, and she will gladly answer all your curious questions - she answered all mine.
The room we stayed in was nice and spacious, except for the bed, but we are not honeymooners anymore, so everytime one turned, the other one woke up.
You have a great view of the beach from the balcony and you are in walking distance from most of the best restaurants on the island.
Transportwise you have the busstop right there but also parking space should you rent a car - which I highly recommend.

You’ll find some really nice restaurants in walking distance, convenient if you don’t have your own car. There also a bus stop right in front if you want to go to Anse Lazio.
I can highly recommend this place if heading for Praslin.
