We stayed three nights in the apartment of the Villa Bedier complex and everything was perfect. Very large apartment, you feel like you are staying on Praslin:) We had an apartment upstairs with sea views. The owner and all the staff are super nice and helpful. Everything was cleaned daily and if necessary the towels and bed linen changed (there were even beach towels). The location is great. Only the bed was a bit old. We had a great time at Villa Bedier. Many thanks to Basil and Lina for taking care of and helping us with some travel issues that we had. The apartment has got all you need when you stay at self-catering property. Apartment is big enough for two. The terrace is huge and has two sunbeds. The beach towels are provided. Free parking outside. Supermarket, fruit and fish market are just outside the property. The beach is in front of the building as well. You can stay at the beach, hire a boat taxi to go to the nearest islands or for snorkelling/diving. Famous Anse Lazio is 10min by taxi and it costs 300 rupees one way. The ferry jetty is 5min away by taxi and also costs 300 rupees.

Perfect location mere metres from an amazing beach which also has watersports, water taxis to get you to nearby islands, and a perfectly Instagrammable horizontal palm tree. There's a really good takeaway and restaurants for every budget within a short walk. Public bus stops are very close too so you can easily reach other parts of the island. There are three grocery shops and a couple of fruit stalls in easy reach too, a lovely souvenir shop and several ATMs.
The room itself is large and bright, comfortable and clean, and is kept clean daily. Kitchen is very well equipped. A safe is provided free of charge. The staff are really helpful and very friendly.
The area has a really good vibe to it too. Absolutely loved our week here.

Firstly, on a positive note, the location is just across the road from the beach. There is a supermarket almost next door. Also, an ATM, several restaurants, and take-aways are within a short walk. I'm afraid it's not all positive, though. We were in apartment 4 on the ground floor for a total of five nights. The apartment was very dark inside with totally inadequate lighting. The lounge and kitchen areas were especially dark. The main view from the lounge was a depressing looking wall. The bedside lamps gave no light for reading, instead the bases bizarrely had multicoloured flashing lights. The mattress was very noisy/bouncy, so we kept disturbing one another every time we turned over. The shower-head was fixed at an angle of 180 degrees, which meant it was impossible to have a normal shower, and had to be used in hand-held mode only. After the first night I complained about this, but despite assurances it would be rectified, nothing was ever done about it. The tap in the bathroom basin had seized up, and the only way to turn it on/off was to wrap a towel around it for increased grip. Admittedly, I didn't complain about that, but as nothing had been done about the shower, I didn't see much point. In any case, it would have been more than obvious to the cleaner who was coming in each day that there was a serious problem with it. My recommendation to anyone allocated apartment 4 would be to request an alternative, possibly on the first floor. Although I've rated this as average, somewhere between poor and average would be more accurate in my estimation.
