The hotel buzzes with a lively atmosphere, complete with shows and activities that keep both adults and kids entertained. Just spent seven nights here and we had a lovely family holiday. The kids loved the water park along with multiple swimming pools for adults too. They have three restaurants and a buffet dining hall where everyone has breakfast served. The lunch and dinner overall is satisfactory and after four days you would want to get away and eat something different locally from a recommended restaurant in town either in Hersonissos or Heraklion. The evening entertainment for the whole family is good especially for the young kids who are entertained through out the day and evenings. The beach is a footstep from the resort so you can swim in the crystal clear sea which is lovely and relax on the clean sandy beach.
The family room for four are relatively small and congested, however most of the time you are out and only going back to the room to sleep and relax so not a huge issue. The gym is great and spa is considerably expensive and over priced in my opinion, the receptionists need to try and respond to the guests requests, as multiple times we asked for service in our rooms for ourselves and children and this was overlooked. They need to be trained so that they go beyond their duty and provide a remarkable service. On the other hand staff like Manos at the bar near the theatre in the evenings puts on a smile and bring a warming welcome for the guests and makes them feel at home. My final thoughts are that if you are looking for relaxing holiday then this is not the place as it’s full of children, the service was ok however as the resort started becoming full with guests the service started to decline and I can only assume as they reach their peak in the coming weeks it will reflect this.
Overall my children were happy and enjoyed their first holiday, but will look for a change of scenery in our next visit to Crete.

This was one of the best hotels we’ve stopped in as a family and would thoroughly recommend!
We must have fell lucky with our room (1218) as our room had a shared pool on our balcony which was feet away from the beach. Our room was fantastic too, large bed which I would say was a queen size and was very comfortable. We also had two single beds, one with a bed guard for our child which was appreciated. The bathroom was lovely and had a walk in shower which was great when we’d been to beach as it was easy to shower everything off.

Food was fantastic. Same food for breakfast each day but differed for lunch and tea. The nighttime food was especially the best and was great to try different foods we wouldn’t have at home. There is 5 restaurants; the main restaurant which had everything, the taverna which was a slimmed down version but was a nice restaurant overlooking the beach, the fast food restaurant which was quite small but next to the water park so great for kids as was mainly burgers/hot dogs etc, the Asian restaurant which you can go to once - make sure you do as it was fantastic! The last restaurant which no one seems to know about is the Thalassas restaurant right next to the beach, it’s open from 7pm and is a seafood BBQ and the fish was just amazing, you don’t need to reserve and if we’d known about it earlier we’d have dined there more than once.
You’ll also find in the pool bar in the day there’s a section of cakes/doughnuts/fruit/salad and some sandwiches if you’re going out for the day and want to take food with you.

There is a number of pools, we mainly used the water park section which also had a lazy river. The water park wasn’t busy at all so you don’t get the queues like you do at a paying water park. It is suitable for all ages.

The staff really are great, especially the bar staff in the pool bar, they’re very friendly and remember your order after a few times. Spirits are main brands which was surprise, the beer is a local beer but tastes nice.

There are two parks, one large one with a mini golf section, they also have a seated area with drinks. The other park area is by the main pool down some steps.

The beach area is fantastic we always got a good bed and umbrella, there’s also a beach bar open 10-6 it really is handy.

Next to the main pool is a towel service where you can borrow and return them. There is also a fish foot spa which is 10€ for 20 minutes.

Whilst there isn’t much around the hotel there is a nice walk to both the right and left. To the left you’ll find more bars/restaurants and shops so nice to get out of the hotel and have a wander. To the right it’s mainly hotels but a few excursion shops/rental car shops.

We got a taxi to Hersonissou which was 12€ there and same back, this was a nice little day out, it wasn’t too busy but some nice shops. To Heraklion I believe it was around 38€. Taxis are cash only but there is an ATM in the hotel.

The entertainment is good, we went before half term and the theatre was full so if you’re going in peak time I would recommend getting there early. Some entertainment was outside the pool bar and this was always full so definitely get there early if you wish. My only downside was after that entertainment finished in the pool bar the entertainment team did dancing and got people involved which was great but the music was exactly the same everyday, would be nice for this to be changed up.

On departure there is a luggage room for your bags but also to our surprise a fantastic shower room so no need to extend your room stay as everything you need is there to use.

We had a garden/landview room which actually looked out over the roof of the main restaurant with all the extractor vents and equipment which was extremely noisy and smelt of food. We felt mis sold on the room and couldn’t swap due to capacity. It was quite noisy at night and early mornings because of the extractors and the carts and vehicles going in and out of the loading bay below. Very disappointing and meant we basically couldn’t use our balcony at all.

Food was of a high quality and was very good. The only problem was that trays of food were constantly running out and were very slow at being replaced so you couldn’t always get what you wanted. Also the main restaurant was ridiculously busy at every meal time to the point where we just couldn’t face going! People pushing, noisy, big queues to get to the food which was then likely to have run out. The Kalypso restaurant near the activity pool was much better and quieter and we ended up going here for meals instead.

The service staff (waiters, bar staff etc) we came across lacked customer service skills. Having travelled around the world extensively it was probably the worst service we have come across, not because they are rude etc but you basically get ignored by everyone. My husband ordered a cocktail at the pool bar one evening and the guy actually rolled his eyes at him! The cleaners were more friendly and warm towards us when we saw them than the actual service staff. Also, if they wanted to get somewhere that you were going they wouldn’t wait for you to pass they would
just push past or make you wait which is not very customer oriented behaviour in our opinion. I also came across one of the chefs
smoking in the ladies toilet chatting to a waitress by the beach pool one day.

The hotel is lovely with great facilities. I would say it is a 7/10 for cleanliness however with food plates and cups left around from the previous day quite often.

Big positive for us were the team in the kids club beside the activity pool. Our 4 year old daughter is very shy but actually loved going there most days, the team remembered her name whenever they saw her around the hotel and made her feel like a VIP. Ginger/Becca/Madi/Louisa and others are a great asset to the hotel and definitely made our daughters holiday!

Overall we had a lovely holiday and had thought the hotel was good but they definitely need more staff and customer service training!

The hotel location and facilities are very good for family's. You will not be board here with kids. The beach is beautiful and the hotel and pools are kept very clean. There is a gift shop next to the buffet restraunte which is great for football and basket ball kits for kids and adult. The prices are reasonable and of a good quality.
We did have afew negatives about this hotel though, the alcoholic drinks were weak and the wine on tap was watered down, I had already read bad reviews about this though before we went so i expected it. My top tip if you like wine is to get it by the bottle from inside the fridges as this is not watered down. The soft drinks were fine though. You only get two big bottles of water in your room per day, any more you have to buy from the shop yourself. When the food runs out in the buffet restraunte the staff only start replenishing it when they have a que which is frustrating when your other stuff goes cold. The Asisn restraunte is def worth booking as its nice to not have to battle the ques in the buffet. 7pm is a perfect time to go before it gets busy. The cleaning staff were very friendly but I did not find the staff in the buffet very friendly. The water park is brilliant for kids, however there is a serious lack of life guards on duty there and at the other pools. All in all we enjoyed our break away but I probably would not return to the hotel.

We have literally just returned from a weeks stay at Lyttos Beach and I wanted to come online to share our review as we had such an amazing stay.
It is such a beautiful location, only around 20 minutes from the airport and absolutely wonderful staff, including those at reception, the amazing cleaners (whether it be the room or grounds), the bar staff, entertainment team or those in the shop and restaurants. They go above and beyond to please and are so wonderful.

We had booked a garden view family room but when we got there we were over the moon to have been given an upgrade to a room with a private pool. This actually made our holiday. The kids just loved having our own pool and it was just the icing on the cake. The rooms are immaculate, with daily cleaning providing new towels, bottled water etc.

The hotel is wonderful with an array of pools to suit everyone, of course the water park was loved by our children and it is amazing to have this on site. In addition there is a small arcade, the tennis academy, various activities, a lovely playground, table tennis, pool tables, football pitches, just everything you could possibly imagine want.

The evening shows put on by the entertainment team are fantastic and of such a high standard. The outdoor theatre is lovely to see these in.

We all agreed that the food was outstanding. The main restaurant does get very busy but that’s to be expected. We did try the Taverna a couple of times which was so lovely and a gorgeous setting. The food is so fresh, cooked so well, everything is lovely and clean and showed how a buffet could be done in style.

We had an amazing week away. This was our children’s first time abroad and we have certainly set the bar high! Lyttos Beach and the whole team is wonderful. Thank you for a memorable week away for all the right reasons!

Splendid Pension and quality services. We came with our 18 year old son and enjoyed the huge choice and quality of meals, the layout and cleanliness of the rooms, the possibility of isolating in "adults only" areas, the Pension location and the helpfulness of the staff. Nothing wrong. Yeah, good.

The hotel is great from A to Z. The food is very delicious and the selection huge. Every evening there is another theme (e.g., Italian, Indian etc.). For breakfast you have a lot of different breads, omellets, frech fruits etc.
There are different restaurants and you always find a table even if you go during peak hours.
The staff is friendly and clean tables very rapidly.
The children playground (the waterpark as well as the normal one) are very nice and quite new. A lot of fun for the little ones.
The beach is great with nice sand and shallow and clear water, so even small kids can walk into the ocean for quite a few meters. There are enough sunbeds even if you come to the beach late.
The room (we had a family room) was spacious and basically composed of two rooms each with a shower, and separated with a door, so parents can have their privacy.
Every evening there is mini disco and afterwards a musical for kids (e.g., lion king) which was very nice.

The hotel could be really good if there weren't far too many guests in a small space.
Screaming children are everywhere. And the parents let them do as they please. That's alternative parenting in its purest form. This was most impressive during meal times. Complete chaos at the dining counters, people are already eating on the way back to the table, talking on their cell phones or running around like they're at the playground. Fathers who are completely overwhelmed with their screaming children. No, we're not conservative, but if you're looking for a quiet, relaxed breakfast or dinner, you should set off very early.
The staff are consistently friendly and attentive!!!!!
The complex itself seems quite built up, but you can find your way around quickly. The beach is long and beautiful.

There are plenty of towels, especially at 10:00 in the morning on the loungers by the main pool, but there are hardly any guests there. It is and remains a bad habit. It's a shame that the management doesn't take decisive action here.
There are really enough sports facilities. The gym would be very nice (lots of equipment, spacious space and...and. and.), but it is right next to an indoor pool and only separated by a 3 meter high pane of glass that doesn't reach the ceiling. Even the best air conditioning can't keep up with that, especially when there's an uninsulated wooden roof above everything. Since we wanted to be active in the gym at lunchtime, we got muscle training and a sauna as a combination. What a shame.
Bottom line: well-intentioned, but definitely not worth a second visit

I booked this hotel after having visited one of the chains' sisters hotels, Arina Beach, with this one being a higher star rating. I expected Lyttos Beach to be a notch up from the other but was left quite underwhelmed, to be honest.

Don't get me wrong, the facilities here are top notch with a water park, football pitches, mini golf centre, large gym and so much more. The fundamental of a good hotel, in my opinion, is service, and I think Lyttos Beach almost seems to have lost sight of that.

We arrived early at the hotel and understandably our room wasn't ready, we were given a map of the area and little else. We had to ask where we could change to use the facilities and to be honest when we could check into our rooms the map offered very basic directions to our rooms and certainly no offer of help.

The next service lacking was found when I approached the pool/ beach bar and asked for a cocktail only to be told it didn't serve alcohol other than beer. I got my trusty map out and found another bar further down the beach, so I set off but found the same result, although this bar would serve cocktails after 6 pm.

I found this set up to be completely lacking of a 5* hotel, and whilst I most certainly didn't expect to receive sun bed drink service, I didn't expect to walk from one side of the hotel to the other if I fancied a mid afternoon cocktail. Self serve has a place but it shouldn't be used as the go to model.

The cocktails are quite poor, and the list seems to be made up of drinks that can be made very quickly using a mixture of fruit juices. You cannot actually get a mojito, which blew my mind but this probably falls into a category of being a slow drink to make.
The food in the restaurant is good quality but be prepared to queue for grilled meats/fish in the main restaurant before 8pm as it gets swallowed up faster than it can be made.
The rooms are comfortable, the nespresso machine is a nice touch with the pods being replaced when used. 2 bottles of water are also left each day, which can be put into the fridge which also has an ice box.
At busy times the water park is chaotic and probably running very close to being unsafe. Lifeguards were overstretched, with a maximum of 2 lifeguards over seeing circa of 250 kids in 4 areas of the water park.
Overall this hotel has everything to be perfect, which makes it frustrating that employing more staff could solve many of the problems. I still think the chain offers great hotels, but I wouldn't return here.

Dear CharlieTango84, Thank you for submitting your important review, providing your feedback of your recent stay at our hotel. We are deeply sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations, and we respect your opinion, which is so strict against the hotel. Lets start from the beginning and your arrival, we offer to the guest a hotel plan with info concerning all the opening hours of the hotel departments and facilities. At the reception we have always 3 bellboys for caring the luggage to the rooms. Where is the wrong? About your negative comments for the drinks, note that only in the beach bar are not allowed to serve drinks during the day, above the beach bar 50m long there is another bar which serve alcohol. The Bar menu has 32 cocktails and all our drinks are branded. We don t understand your comments and attitude. At Water park there are 3 lifeguards every day and control the operation of the water slides. Unfortunately, you have n t expressed certain complaints during your stay, which we should duly investigated following communication with the competent departments. We wish you all the best to your next trip. Lyttos Beach - The All-Inclusive Experience

With breathtaking views, spotless amenities, and first-rate service, Lyttos Beach is an amazing resort. All ages can enjoy the variety of pools and the ideal beachside location. The cuisine is tasty and varied, and the dispensary, like stonerpharmdispensaryonline ,com, makes it simple to get necessities. Perfect for family fun or relaxation! Strongly advised!
