All is pefect, istrian specialities as: Trkanjci, ravioli with many typesbod domestic marmelade, fritaja of sparoge, tartufi. Perfect oliva oil and chardoney house vine. Surroundig is also beautiful with very nice garden, pull, shady terrace..
For starters the location is ideal. Close to the motorway, but not that noisy and also near to the road into Rovinj. The site feels peaceful, but not at all isolated. The apartment we had was very spacious and comfortable. Some fiddling with the (strong) air-con was needed to keep them cool, but we did visit in a bit of a heatwave. Wifi can be a bit sketchy on the upper levels, but there are plenty of sitting areas where you can go and use it. The restaurant was one of the highlights, so much that we ate there every other night. They serve local and traditional food and it is all very nice. If you are English, some knowledge of French, German or Croatian is useful and helps you get by a little easier. English is fairly basic there and can be difficult occasionally. Another language helps to reinforce anything said.…
All I can say is: place for perfect hollydays! only 12 kilometers from georgeous Rovinj. Food is great, staff, especially cleaning lady, so helpfull and friendly. There is a nice big pool, and place is so quiet, I needed a break so this was great place for it. Fantastic wine, olive oil and vegetables all domestic. the owners are nice and taking care about guests. there is a footpath behind 3000 meters so we could run in beautifull nature. you need a car, because civilization is 5 or 12 km from here. we really enjoyed.
The food in restaurant was delicious. We ate soup, pasta and dessert and was very nice. Great domestic Istrian kitchen. But they could make a little bit bigger portions. The terrace is lovely- near the pool, silent, green, beautiful.
We visited with friends again this year to have a dinner, and were even more impressed than before. They serve local food and will advise you honestly what to take for the day. We had several dishes, ranging from sea food to stuffed veal. It is difficult to recommend – so please take their advice. One thing I definitely recommend is their local dessert plate – small doughnuts and fig & nut ravioli. As to the price, you will be pleasantly surprised: 26€ per person, with two courses and desert, including very good house wine. As to accommodation, we were shown inside and outside. The rooms are comfortable and neat; all decorated keeping the local traditional style and materials: stone and wood. If you need a good rest, you should go for it. It is located off-road, on a large own property, with a swimming pool etc. See http://www.dvabaladura.hr/ for more.…
