Wonderful old palazzo in countryside of Istra in small village Sv. Martin. Ideal place for quiet and peaceful vacation in the fresh air above the sea level. We are a young couple and we were warm welcome by Mrs Maria. She offered us a domestic brandy from honey and tasty handmade cake with cherry – delicious and introduced us to the history of the place. Mrs. Maria and her lovely daughter Dolores are homeowners and they’ll help you with more information about opportunities in the area. In the morning breakfast is served in the basement - a pleasant old cellar. For breakfast you can eat salami, cheese, bread, coffee, juice, vegetables and homemade cakes. And if you like the owner will prepare you fresh eggs. In the evening you can eat at restaurant in the neighborhood that is a few steps away from the palace and apartments. We were accommodated in the apartment on first floor which is well equipped, very clean and comfortable. The place is very quiet for all those who wish to enjoy peacefulness and relax. Thanks to Maria and Dolores for having a pleasant stay. They did everything so well that we had to go back again.

I found in internet this place a bit far out the busy touristic routes - even if not too far from Rabac- and we decided to stop for a night during our way down to Dalmacija. Good idea indeed. The place is really very quiet for all those who wish to enjoy peacefulness and relax. We were welcome by the owner - Mrs Maria - who offered us a glass wine ( produced by the family ) and two tasty homemade cakes served in a sort of "cellar" were we had a very nice breakfast the following morning. The Venetian mansion house is very nice and left with a sort of decadent "old-fashioned" touch. We suffered a terrible hot during the night ( due to an exceptional hot weather ) : in fact we did not pay attention to a note on the air conditioner which warns that it’s working till 3.00 a.m. We definitely had a sauna ... but the atmosphere was so idyllic that we did not pay attention to that. In the evening we did not want to move the car so we walked a few metres to reach an amazing local restaurant where we had a great dinner. A place to be back if we are in the nearby.

My family and I have just got back from Croatia. We chose this beautiful old-fashioned palazzio at the end of a two-week trip across Europe and we liked it so much that we stayed longer than we had planned. Beautiful landscape, fresh air, intimate atmosphere and excellent breakfast ( home-made bread, cheese, ham, etc.). Last but not least, Maria and Dolores, the owners, who made us feel like home. We'll definitely stay here again when we go to Croatia.

We're a young couple and we had a memorable stay. It's a cute and well maintained hotel, located in a small village. Although it is a trek to reach with public transport, it worked out well since the family members were around and happy to pick up and drop off at Porec or Labin at a small cost for the petrol. You can simply unwind and relax here. It's family owned and you can really tell from their attentive and personal service. The village is small but with a small supermarket and good restaurant - enough for a comfortable and idyllic stay. Feels really like stay at a relative's house in the country. Recommended
