At 22 OR per night very good value compared to the other accommodation we experienced in oman.
We had a room at the front overlooking the busy roundabout and usual omani traffic chaos :-)
Only stayed 1 night, ate at the Indian/local resturant next door both in the evening and morning - very nice reasonably priced food, highly recommended if your not too fussy about the decor etc
All that said that's not really much going on in Ibra.....we went to the ladies market on a Wednesday morning, but that wasn't much different to the many markets you can easily find in this country.
I suppose it's a useful place to stay if your visiting the desert and dont want to 'camp' or visiting one of the excellent Wadi's about an hours drive away...
Our stay was only for 1 night and was ok, but there was nothing special about it.
The rooms were basic with no frills. The beds were decently comfortable and the rooms were decently clean. The wifi hardly worked so we were essentially lacking in internet connection.
The location is right in the middle of Ibra. There isn't much as far as tourist sights in Ibra itself so there's not much for tourists to be close to or far from. There are a couple supermarkets just up the road in either direction to pick up snacks for the car and theres a decent local restaurant right across the main road that we went to for dinner.
It's an ok place to stay if you end up in Ibra for the night.
Tried the restaurant just below the hotel for breakfast. Just ok
The motel is in Ayalat Ibra (upper Ibra, the newer section of town), on the main road towards Muscat (Route 23), next to the OmanOil petrol station (the Rough Guide says next to the Shell station, but it is now an OmanOil).
"We had a room overlooking the main road/roundabout outside the front of the hotel (it was quite amusing watching the driving mayhem on the roundabout for a while whilat stood on our little balcony!). Noise didn't bother us but may others....if you like quiet ask for one at the back of the hotel"Read full review
"Lower floor but id you are disabled this is notht eplace for you and if you can afford more than $70 do not stay there unless you are a student or poor or from a poor country and don't know any better"Read full review
