Best value accomodation of our 10 day trip....large room recently renovated, very clean with a nice bathroom.
At 22 OR per night very good value compared to the other accommodation we experienced in oman.
We had a room at the front overlooking the busy roundabout and usual omani traffic chaos :-)
Only stayed 1 night, ate at the Indian/local resturant next door both in the evening and morning - very nice reasonably priced food, highly recommended if your not too fussy about the decor etc
All that said that's not really much going on in Ibra.....we went to the ladies market on a Wednesday morning, but that wasn't much different to the many markets you can easily find in this country.
I suppose it's a useful place to stay if your visiting the desert and dont want to 'camp' or visiting one of the excellent Wadi's about an hours drive away...

Cheapest accommodation we had in Oman in our 8-day road trip with similar quality and service levels. Hotel was clean and can be used as an excellent base or stopover to visit nearby attractions (e.g. Wahiba Sands, Wadi Bani Khalid, forts). Fine local food options nearby.

This hotel is very centrally located and had a high standard of cleanliness. The bed was very comfortable, with Western pillows and a soft duvet. The owner of the hotel gave us a discount (we paid 20 riyal for 3 people in one room) and kindly added an extra mattress to our room. The hotel was quiet and had parking out the front. The owner recommended an excellent discreet shisha cafe frequented by locals in Ibra, which we never would have found without his directions. A good budget option if you're passing through Ibra.

I stayed in this motel for 3 nights. To my surprise the room was well furnished and very clean. The staff were very polite and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommended for those going to Ibra and eastern region of Oman for a short break.

I wasn't expecting much on my trip to Ibra....but found this place in the center of town. The rooms are very nice for an affordable price. It also has a bar and is across the street from the only good restaurant in Ibra. Only negative is no wireless in the rooms....you have to go downstairs.

We used to live in Ibra and decided to go back for a visit. We have spent a lot of time at Sharqiyah Sands and didn't want to pay so much to stay there so we decided on Ibra Motel. We phoned the day before and got a room for OMR16. What a steal! I must say that we were surprised. The rooms were simple but nice. They were clean, comfortable and perfect for a good night's rest. I expected them to be old and run down but that wasn't the case at all. They did not smell musty or anything and the air-conditioning works really well. The staff downstairs were friendly and you could use internet in the small lobby, reception area. If we ever stay in Ibra again we will definitely stay here.

As far as I understand, there aren't a whole lot of accommodations available in Ibra. We stayed at the Ibra Motel on the way to Wadi Bani Kaleed.

Our stay was only for 1 night and was ok, but there was nothing special about it.

The rooms were basic with no frills. The beds were decently comfortable and the rooms were decently clean. The wifi hardly worked so we were essentially lacking in internet connection.

The location is right in the middle of Ibra. There isn't much as far as tourist sights in Ibra itself so there's not much for tourists to be close to or far from. There are a couple supermarkets just up the road in either direction to pick up snacks for the car and theres a decent local restaurant right across the main road that we went to for dinner.

It's an ok place to stay if you end up in Ibra for the night.

Clean rooms at a reasonable price, good wifi, convenient location off the main road that runs around Ibra. There are several restaurants by the hotel, or across the main road, as well as other shops.
The motel is in Ayalat Ibra (upper Ibra, the newer section of town), on the main road towards Muscat (Route 23), next to the OmanOil petrol station (the Rough Guide says next to the Shell station, but it is now an OmanOil).

"We had a room overlooking the main road/roundabout outside the front of the hotel (it was quite amusing watching the driving mayhem on the roundabout for a while whilat stood on our little balcony!). Noise didn't bother us but may others....if you like quiet ask for one at the back of the hotel"
