We stayed here on our walking holiday. Ana was wonderfully welcoming and very helpful with travel advise. Accommodation was very comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was a wonderful meal.

We were a party of two couples on a walking holiday. Ana and Marga and just fantastic. From our warm email correspondence to an equally warm welcome they were simply wonderful. They gave us the run of the hotel and were incredibly helpful. We were sorry that the restaurant was closed the night we were staying but we had had...

We stayed here for one night on our walking holiday last week. We were warmly welcomed by Anna, who could not have been kinder. The accommodation was excellent, the room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and the food was first class and excellent value for money. The restaurant is also an art gallery. The...

This review is for the food, not the accommodation as we didn't stay there. The restaurant is a real gem. Home grown / local ingredients cooked by someone who is obviously passionate about food. We have eaten here a couple of times now and will definitely be back. Superb food cooked simply but with style. The lunchtime menu is 12...

We were booked into Casa Clara for one night on a walking holiday. Beautiful building, large spacious bedroom with stylish decor. The staff were all extremely friendly & helpful. €15 3 course dinner menu (incl wine) was amazing value, I particularly enjoyed the broad bean, mint & ham salad! Castello is a lovely little spot, steeped in history with some...

Very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms simply furnished in a modern style. In the middle of the old part of the town with roads either side, but not too much traffic noise and because it has air con you can keep the windows closed. Nice cafe, bar, restaurant beneath the rooms and several other places to eat within a few...

Our first experience of Hostal Casa Clara was very positive. The room was modern but extremely comfortable. The decor generally is tasteful and restful. The hostal is extremely clean and has every facility. We enjoyed our stay very much, and Anna and Marga could not have been more attentive or more pleasant hosts. The dinner was very professional, tasty and...

We stayed 4 nights. Very friendly staff. Hotel in good location in lovely old town, within walking distance of nature reserve: Parc Natural dels Aiguamolls de l'Emporda, which is very good for bird watching. Easy to catch bus to the spectacular ancient Greek and Roman site of d'Empuries. Old town is historically interesting and attractive with a town museum and...

We had two rooms sharing a bathroom (it was us and our 9-year old son) and this was fantastic. Looking out our window we had a view of the church in this medieval town. The beach is 5km away, but we are we glad that we opted to stay here. The hotel has a fantastic restaurant and otherwise there's a...
