An early flight meant that we wanted a one night stopover a short drive from the airport. This came in at a very reasonable £35, and as all we were after was a place to lay our heads it was fine. It's not glamorous, and I did worry that I'd booked the wrong place when I saw the name on... More

Me and my friend visited the hostel couple days ago and we were not really fond of it. Receptionist was not there when we wanted to check in but with other requests, he was helpful even though he was not at the reception that often and we were seeing him smoking outside. On our last day we wanted to check... More

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. The bad reviews are not warranted. The place is CLEAN, the rooms a nice size, many w/ balconies, and the staff, especially Merce, is very friendly and kind. It is close to the beach and convenient to shops, restaurants, and services. So the place is a little worn?? For what it provides for guests,... More

Absolutely horrible experience. The so- called manager first told us we need to pay for the whole stay upfront (no such thing was mentioned while making a booking) which we did only to find out there is so much mould in our bathroom to feed a completely new ecosystem. We were neighboured by a couple that fought so fiercly they... More

Basic but clean room with shower room. Excellent wifi and TV had some English language channels with Parampunt for films. I requested a fridge which was great. Cafe bar on site had good Spanish fare and drinks at great prices. One euro for small draught beer or house wine. 200 m to beach downhill (not too steep on way back!)... More

It is located in the hip surfertown El Medano so there were some cool restaurants and bars on the promenade which was very close. It is also very close to the airport which means it gets really loud. Especially when staying at a budget hostel like h. Carel where the balcony door has no soundproofing whatsoever. But that was ofcourse... More

Very convenient for the airport and El Medano is quite a nice little resort. Stayed here at start and end of Canaries walking tour. At the start, our shower head was broken but the second time of staying we had a different room where it worked. Plenty of hot water. Rooms were clean but extremely basic. Breakfast rudimentary and heavy... More

And only a short taxi ride from the Tenerife South airport. (In fact I think you could shoulder your rucksack and walk along the beach! Forget the wheelie.) An inexpensive hotel with basic but completely adequate facilities. Our room was large, clean, quiet by Spanish standards. Planes don't fly all night. By this point in our trip we had suffered... Room a had a balcony overlooking the street, but was not clean. Dusty bathroom shelves and fittings, shower holder broken, bathroom door did not close. If the windows closed do not hear the aircraft and street noise too badly, but if open a very noisy location. Breakfast poor, if you want a second cup of coffee have to pay extra.... More

WE stayed here 3 nights and we'll never be back to Carel. The Hostel is located in a noisy street, we could hardly sleep and awaked lots of times during the night. Rooms quite clean, but NO HAIRDRYER!! At the reception we were told to come later since another client had been using it, but we never got the hairdryer.At... More
