The only reason I have not given 5 star rating is that this hotel lacks an in-house restaurant and the town itself is quite disappointing in terms of dining options, also, I felt a bit uncomfortable in the town during the evening and night and would have preferred to have an in-house dining. Rest all is impressive - large and comfortable rooms, onsite parking, amicable staff.

Had a couple of days in La Aldea before going down to the more touristy south. What a pleasure it was. The hotel was lovely. Well kept, nice room, good service and a great breakfast covering every continental base, including the fizzy (bit early for me!). La Aldea itself is not much to write home about but it is a working village and not a tourist hub. The main square itself is really quite pleasant with a few bars and local eating houses which we found to be pretty good. The area itself is amazing. Spectacular scenery, some great walks, interesting harbour and beach. Quite a drive getting there (from anywhere) so if you don't like hairpin bends it may not be for you, but spectacular views. The area is a jewel and the La Aldea suites reflects this. I will definitely go back.

Room Tip: Balconies at the front are probably sunnier. We were to the side but quite happy with the outlook.

Wonderful and great value hotel in a lively little town. Staff very friendly and helpful, our room (standard mountain view) was huge and very clean. Breakfast was amazing both quality and choice wise, and they seemed to have thought of every conceivable extra (lactose free milk, glass of bubbly if you fancy ect). We only stayed one night, so didn’t use the pool area but it did seem very nice in the sun. Bar not that exciting, but you can take drinks out by the pool which would be very nice anytime of day/night. There are also bars and places to eat within easy walking distance if desired. Best part of this wonderful and still remote part of Gran Canaria is the beautiful beach and harbour though, flanked on either side by stunning cliffs. There are also a number of cute little places to eat or have a drink near the beach. This isn’t really within easy walking distance of the hotel though. Would definitely recommend this place, and we won’t be hesitating to visit again next time.
