I stayed for 1 night in room number 114. The room was spacious and clean. It was the long weekend so the hotel was fully booked on Friday and Saturday but somehow the Manager was nice enough to find us a good room and quickly as possible. Talking about the room one notable positive feedback was that they had all the satellite TV channels. I have stayed in a lot of hotels in Sri Lanka and end of the day when I come back to room I want to watch a nice movie and sleep, in that case these guys did a superb job by having a lot of movie channels in so many languages including Tamil, Sinhala, Hindi etc. 2 drawbacks from the room I stayed was that it doesn't have a nice view compared to triplet rooms and quadruple rooms with a huge balcony and pool view. And there was no rainfall shower even though the toilet was clean and big and also nice. The manager offered me a good deal on half board basis deluxe room for Rs:7600 for 2 persons...now that's a reasonably good deal compared to most hotels. The dinner buffet didn't have much vegetarian option so for us we were limited with food option because next day we have to go to Temple and we can't eat meat, however Aruna, the Manager promised to include in future since no one has raised that issue to him so far. The morning buffet was excellent with lots of vegetarian and non veg option although I would like to see sausages and omelet included in the future please. The swimming pool was big and clean so I loved it. There is plenty of parking space. I love the fact the restaurant staff are very well trained. They clean the tables very quickly and take out the finished dishes as soon as possible. They are always on point and on lookout to help the guests. The Manager always goes to each and every guest and talk to them and make sure is everything is good, if something isn't he will quickly resolve the issue. Overall this hotel is one of the best I stayed at Kathagama and I would Highly recommend this place! Make sure you call the hotel directly because they have a better and cheaper deal than over the internet or other hotel booking apps.

Real value for money, We got the 2 family rooms on the ground floor & I would say the whole experience was beyond expectations. From the Manager to the minor staff the friendly service provided was excellent. The family rooms were so spacious & comfortable, for a moment I was wondering whether they have given us the suite room . Food was excellent & very tasty, The swimming pool & the Pool table kept the children occupied. Even the milk rice for the early morning pooja is made by the staff on request.
This was our second visit & all future visits to Kataragama will be to Okrin.

Hotel Okrin is a great place to stay in Katharagama. I am a repeat customer of this hotel who visit this place in all my visits to katharagama. This time we were the only visitors who was in the hotel but then the service provided was exactly same as the other days. Food was great. Service was great. Hospitality was great. In some hotels I have experienced that all the hospitality and treats are provided when only there are lot of customers but then hotel Okrin was not like that. The service was even better this time. Food were great even better than we expected. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who will visit Katharagama during this period cuz even hygiene was at its best. Great service Okrin. We had a great time and lot of support from the kind and helpful staff.

Great service form the front office to the room service staff. Clean and spacious rooms, Food is also up to the standerd even during the off season period. My stay at Hotel Okrin Katagarama exceeded all expectations. Situated conveniently 10min drive to the Kathirkamam Temple and just steps away from the Kathirnalai Hilltop temple climb, this hotel offers the perfect location.
One of the highlights of my stay was encountering the exceptional manager, Dilran Shamsudin. Dilran’s dedication to guest satisfaction was evident from the moment I arrived. His respectful demeanor and willingness to go above and beyond to accommodate guests truly stood out.
The hotel itself offers comfortable and reasonably priced accommodations, making it an ideal choice for those visiting the area. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-appointed, providing a relaxing retreat after a day of exploration.
I highly recommend Hotel Okrin Katagarama to anyone looking for a pleasant stay near Kathirkamam Temple. A big thumbs up to Dilran Shamsudin and the entire staff for their outstanding hospitality. I look forward to returning in the future

Highly recommended to families travelling to Kataragama Dewalaya as it will take only 10 min from the hotel. Small hotel with friendly staff. Clean and neat. Food is good and value for money. Pool available.

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times and the high quality of service and attention to detail remains. The staff is amazing and cordial friendly. Surprise birthday parties were even organized by the staff. Especially food is amazing here definitely recommend visiting this place if you travel around here. In the past years we have stayed at Lavendish Okrin Katharagama when we’ve been in Katharagama, now we wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere other than Okrin.

To the most genuine and a generous staff at Okrin... You truly made our stay a memorable one! The thoughtful arrangements you made for my father’s birthday to make it such a great one is undeniably touching. All your staff, I repeat, ALL of your staff, starting from the security, front desk, room service to restaurant staff, chef and the manager, have been extending their services so whole-heartedly to us... Rooms are very clean... Food is superlicious! I had a number of requests, all them I can confidently say, the staff accepted so warmly and extended their genuine support.

We visited as a family to okrin last Dec 2022. We really loved their service and the triple rooms were neat and tidy. At the beginning they told us they only have a set menu for dinner and breakfast but for our surprise they provided us with buffet which was much worth for the price. If yourll are looking for a reasonable priced room and food while urll visit kataragama, I would highly recommend this place

We stayed for one night at Okrin Hotel and right from the beginning the staff was extremely helpful and informative. The manager went out of the way to make sure we were comfortable as we were travelling with my mother who was old. The family room was really good and clean. The toilets were very clean. Would definitely stay again and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay close to the religious sights.
