This relaxing and tranquil bit of paradise met and exceeded our expectations in all respects. The natural beauty of the resort setting was matched by the warm welcome and personal service from the host and staff for our 7-day stay. The accommodation was a perfect touch of Africa, well designed, comfortable, and with the beautiful setting providing welcome privacy. There...

We camped at Makuzi Beach for 4nights in November. An absolutely beautiful white private beach with stunning swimming! Kayaking out to the "island" to go snorkelling was great! The campsite is lovely and green with lots of shade, although a spot to braai on each site would be nice. The ablutions were not always clean. Had a great stay!

They call it a little paradise, and it is!! Beautiful situated on a secluded beach. Just loved staying there :) We camped, which is cheap, but went for the 3-course dinner and buffet breakfast. The food was amazing!!! The setting was very romantic, the dinner was one of the best I had in Malawi and breakfast was yummie. We also...

In a wonderful bay on Lake Malawi, the chalets my friends and I had were new and lovely - great to have tea and coffee-making facilities! Good value, excellent breakfast, good but not outstanding other meals. Kitchen service a bit on the slow side. Special praise to the management team - without the expert help of the manager and his...

I stayed there last weekend for one night and I had a very restful time. The great thing about Makuzi Beach Lodge is that it's very private (even though there is no such thing as a "private" beach in Malawi). The contour of the beach with forests on both sides of the beach help to make it more private than...

Rooms are comfortable with everything that you need including a few steps off the beach, food is great with each evening leaving you with excitement for the next day. Makuzi is tropical paradise, full stop. Nice beach, waving palms and grassy camping spots. Friendly and helpful staff and management. They do their very best to make you feel at ease. No worries. The only thing that really throws me off are the worn-out facilities, which are in need of refurbishment or replacement. Especially the beach furniture is in very...

Thank you for your review. We have now got new furniture on the beach. Internet is always a problem in our isolated position due to bad signal but we have it most times.
