Very warm welcome. Home baking, excellent breakfast. Homely feel to the b & b. Nice warm rooms and excellent shower. Highly recommended. Recommedations given on places to visit in the area. Is definitely 4 stars, will stay again.

Rooms are spacious spotlessly clean, and with en-suite to a high standard. Quality ingredients are used in the breakfast which is cooked to order, and home made breads, cakes and preserves are a delight.

upon arival we were greated with tea & homemade cake. Then shown to our room which was large & airy with a beautiful on-suite. Plus a view to die for. The breakfast was wonderful, so many choices, plus homemade bread... This lovely B&B is ideal if you want a homely feeling. Situated where it is, its an ideal base for...

We have just returned from a three night break at Hedgefield. Sleights is a lovely village with easy access to Whitby by train or bus.The views of the countryside from the guest house are lovely. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable, the breakfasts were first class and we were made to feel very welcome. We would definitely stay here again.

Ann and Derek are the most welcoming friendly couple you could meet and we always feel like were "at home" as soon as we set foot through the door. The room we always stay in is clean, homely and spacious and the bed is...

What a wonderful relaxing place to say. Met by Anne who was so welcoming, as was her lovely husband. We were looked after for the whole weekend & treated like old friends not just guests. The food was outstanding & the room was beautiful. Love to go back again soon.

We stayed at this B&B based on recommendations on Trip Advisor, and we could not agree more with what other reviewers are saying. Our accommodation was large, light and airy, and decor understated but elegant. We were treated to afternoon tea on arrival, and were given helpful advice on places to see and places to eat at, by Derek and...

I booked this guesthouse for a weekend break based on the reviews I had read and we were not disappointed, infact it surpassed all our expectations. We visit the area atleast twice a year and usually try different accomodation each time but we will certainly be staying at Hedgefield again.
