I spent half a day visiting Solstrand Hotel to have a SPA treatment. I was also allowed to use the wellness area, which I did. The wellness area was great, my favourite is the outside pool, which was enjoyably warm and I loved being in the sunshine and overlook the beautiful fjord. Afterwards I got an aroma body massage in one of the many rooms in SPA area. It was amazing! Kristin was very proffessional, I felt completelly relaxed both physically and mentally. My skin was smoother than ever before after the treatment and I loved the aroma! You can actually choose the aroma yourself. Before leaving the hotel, I strolled along the sea and in the park, which was a joy again. The place is so peaceful, the nature so beautiful, and the amenities are well taken care of.
I have been staying at this hotel alltogether for 3,5 years doing managment development programmes. for nearly 20 years. The location, the food, the service level, the attitude of the staff and the total experience is top+++. All seasons has their charm. Even autumn storms are enjoyable in this enviroment. If you get an oportunity to stay here - do not miss it.
I travelled from London to Bergen to have a short break to unwind. The whole experience was amazing from beginning to end. I messaged their social media account to get directions from the airport to the hotel, and they were spot on. It was very straight forward getting there. On arrival, the staff was polite, and helpful, and this remained consistent throughout my stay. The staff are very helpful, and cannot do enough. The building is amazing, and it's like stepping back in history. They pay a lot of attention to detail. and it's very clean. I have stayed in a number of spas, but the facilities here were amazing, and this is officially now my favourite spa hotel. The infinity pool is beautiful, and it's best at night, where you can see the lights in the town from afar. Really cannot say enough good things - totally amazing, and I will be back this year.…
I don't think we will ever forget this hotel. I don't think we'll forget our days at Solstrand. December with plenty of rain, how could you be so happy in a hotel? Non, je ne regrette rien. Neither does she, I think.
The spa in the hotel alone makes everything worth it. There are saunas, jacuzzis, regular pools, and even the option of dipping in the fjord, which is not recommended unless it is something you do often or are accustomed to the cold. The room I got was pretty basic, but that is not a problem. There is so much to distract you, from the grounds of the hotel, to the restaurant's food, to the spa and amenities. Bergen is not too far away too, if you want to visit.
