Its 36 spacious rooms, equipped with T.V., Air conditioning, mini bar and a large veranda, are evenly distributed in 5 individual buildings, surrounded by lawns and olive trees. The beach, 10 meters away, is covered with fine gravel, to keep you comfortable. You can also combine your stay with a visit in the ancient theatre of Epidaurus, which is only 30 km away. Ancient Corinth, Nafplion, Loutraki, Iroeon, Mycenae or Corinthos, all of them are within range, for a one-day excursion. Hotel Margarita will be there when you return to accommodate you. We were in Korfos and took a room on the off-chance. The room was one of the ones facing out towards the bay on the top floor. We enjoyed a single night there very much. The room was spacious and clean with a lovely big terrace. The view was great and the beach with lovely clean water (there are fresh water undersea springs about two meters from the beach) - absolutely perfect for when you come back from a hot day trip. Sun loungers and parasol are free for any consuming customer at this or any other establishment on the beach and although the beach is pebbled, there is a very relaxed vibe and few tourists. Breakfast was fine apart from the infamous orange juice and I would say that the Margarita is probably a cut above the other establishments in Korfos at a very reasonable price indeed and great to cool off when discovering the Eastern Peloponnese for a few days.

We stayed 10 nights, after a very bad experience not far from Korfos. I was positively impressed from the beginning. The staff is so kind and always ready to help, the beach is beautiful, the hotel is perfect for families. They also provided a laundry service free of charge. I felt at home. Of course, something needs improvements: rooms equipment is very old, they need some renovation, the play ground (free of charge!) is perfect for Greek kids but not for english-speaking kids. Also the pool bar is out of service and it is a pity because it's cool to have a pool bar! I also warmly recommend to the staff to wear working clothes because it is more professional. I also really appreciated the beach service. The breakfast was quite abundant but too repetitive: we missed biscuits or brioches. We will visit Korfos next year because it's a wondeful place to stay in relax. Thanks to Eleni.

The staff are polite and friendly, but the rooms are very average. This hotel has such an advantage with its location and the space that it has at its disposal. Unfortunately, it seems that yet again, the management of a well situated hotel just wants to get away with the bare minimum. For me, there are 2 litmus tests for a hotel. Firstly its bathroom and secondly its breakfast. The bathroom in our room was a comfortable pass. The breakfast was a collosal fail. I have served my military service in the Greek army, and the breakfast there was better. When will management get to grips with the basics? All the paying customer needs is good coffee and FRESH PRODUCE. Margarita offers dodgy butter, dodgy honey and jam, poor selections of corn flakes, terrible fried eggs dripping in oil, stale biscuits. To top it all, in a land where fresh juice should be a staple, it was nowhere to be seen. This is a very poor reflection on the hospitality that we are offering to tourists. Not recommended. Not returning.

My girlfriend and I unfortunately booked for 4 nights in this hotel via a travel agent. When we booked we thought it didn't cost much for a 4 star hotel. When we arrived we knew why... We arrived late after a tiresome journey from across the Peloponnesos but unstead of being greeted in a friendly fashion the receptionist looked astonished and asked whether we had reserved. Then she, I suppose, randomly picked a key. We were one of the few guests: it isn't difficult to imagine why.
When we went to our room dogs running freely on the hotels premises accompanied us to our room. The room smelled bad. The TV didn't work. There was no soap available. The room itself was quite large but not cosy. After flushing, the toilet kept on running which kept us awake during the night. Reporting this to the receptionist was to no avail. Apparently it was normal and when we insisted she called in the local 'Manuel'. He just lifted the lid of the toilet and tried to arrange it but it didn't work.
The receptionist asked at what hour we wanted to have breakfast. We said between 9 and 10 o'clock. When we arrived at breakfast at 9h15 'Manuel' was having a coffee with a female staff member. They only started to prepare breakfast when we arrived. We sat on the terrace for breakfast, where we were harassed by the dogs and bees. 'Manuel' kicked the dogs repeatedly to scare them away. The whining of a dog is not something a guest at a 4 star hotel expects during breakfast.
Later on one dog got ran over by a car and nobody of the staff took care of the dog. Some friendly American tourists tried to help the dog, but a vet was definitely needed. The staff was aware, but just kept him locked up in the garage where no one could hear him whine.
We wouldn't recommend using the pool as there is dogshit all around it and to my astonishment even in the pool which uses salt water.
After 2 days we didn't get any large towels anymore. The receptionist explained that the washing machine was broke. We just had to do with the small towels.
In all this was a horrendous experience and we were always glad when we went away on day trips. The location isn't great for trips: you have to drive 15 minutes to get to the main road. Then it is more than a half hour to Corinth and over 15 min to Epidaurus.
As the service was this bad for only a few guests, one just wonders how this hotel would cope with more guests.

The Margarita is a way out of the way place on a private little cove in Korfos Bay. It's a great little place for locals who want to get away for the weekend or for a week of relaxation. There's a nice salt water pool that doesn't close. The rooms are of good size. There's a nice family run restaurant just down the road.

This is as much positive as I can say. The little gal at the desk was very new or something. She had no experience and didn't know anything about the hotel. When I needed to make a phone call and had trouble she said the phone system was down and my only option was to use the card pay phone. Well, if you're not from there I don't know how you would get a card. She failed to mention that for the one room we needed to leave the key in order to get service. We couldn't figure out why our linens were placed outside the door.

The gal took my booking paper I had printed out at home, so I didn't have information and she failed to mention the continental breakfast that was included with the room.

They charged us a pretty high amount for another child we brought with us; 26EU/night. This was just for putting a cot in one of the rooms (that by the way, fell down in the middle of the night on the boy).

I paid less money at 4 and 5 star hotels elsewhere than I did for this hotel that is at most a 2 or 2 1/2 star. I will find somewhere else when I go back.

Staid there for a weekend with family. The hotel was decent, the lady at the reception was very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were big enough. However, the breakfast was bellow average, the rooms could have been cleaner and the service was a bit slow. Although is says pet friendly, they were not very positive. Overall the hotel is overpriced for what it offers.

The hotel is in a beautiful little bay at Korfos.
The room is of good size and have been renovated recently.
There is a salt water pool were the kids did not want to leave. The sea is just across the street (without traffic) with great sea view.
The food was surprisingly very good and the personnel were friendly and polite
I spend a weekend with the family and it is a value for money proposition.

My wife and i recently stayed at Hotel Margarita. We were looked after by an extraordinary man called Ali. He was the kindest most helpful man you could ever meet. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Sometimes he was joined by a lady called Lena? who helped with breakfast. The hotel is very spacious with well kept green lawns, a large restaurant and a salt-water swimming pol. Everything is very comfortable. It is right on the sea front with sunbeds and umbrellas if you need a sea swim. The breakfasts were outstanding with a vast selection of fresh foods. delicious omelettes are available if you want them. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends. thank you Ali and Lena fro your great kindness.
