I found it very neglected, starting from the pools in front of the rooms with still and dirty water, the inside of the peeling relaxation pool, the beach never cleaned, everything left to chance!!
Unfortunately, the cleanliness in the rooms also leaves a lot to be desired, bathroom with limescale encrusted taps, unusable bathtub.
As for the staff, nothing to say, very kind!

When we arrived the WiFi was down, which we understand happens but we came for work and could not access any internet for 2 days and no one was in any rush to fix it. It was patchy at best. The room we were in stank of eggs and we noted it to the staff member as soon as we walked in who laughed, agreed and then left. It smelt for days
Rooms were lovely and big and comfy and the pool area was lovely. Big shout out to the massage ladies who did an amazing job!
Food was okay, pricy and wouldn’t eat here again.

My room was cleaned daily with clean towels and fresh bed linen, all the staff were helpful and always greeted you with a smile. Leo the manager was always on hand and very helpful and resolved any issues quickly and effectively.
The outside area were kept spotless with the beach being cleaned of seaweed and debris was up on a daily basis, fabulous pools with a choice of 4, plenty of beach/pool sun loungers but you may have to get up early to bag one (I didn’t have issues)
I would highly recommend this resort and would definitely stay again but would upgrade to a room with a walk in shower and not a bathtub
On the whole very happy with the Weekender
The staff sometimes behave strangely. It happened that around six in the evening our things were thrown off the sunbeds and the sunbeds were removed. Once we ordered cocktails at the bar and waited for half an hour. When they arrived, it turned out that they had been forgotten. The reception staff doesn't speak English well.
The advantages include a good location in the center of Lamai.

Initially we were to occupy a “superior” room. The room was tiny and not in working order, particularly with a water area (shower toilet) not up to the price and expectations.
We had to be upgraded for extra money to get a decent room.
Just horrible pillow, hard and too high for sleeping
The service does not live up to expectations, in particular the breakfast which is too "Western" especially when we asked for seasonal fruit (mango and passion fruit), the hotel asked us for a supplement even though everything should be be included in the paid breakfast.
Not to mention an orange juice when even an apple juice costs extra during this same breakfast.
In short, nice location but very limited service and not worth the price paid.
Choose a hotel 5 minutes further up the hills for better services and more attractive prices.
Do not recommend this hotel

I cut my stay at the hotel because paying USD 80 plus for laundry was ridiculous.
At my second hotel, for the exact same laundry I paid 384 bhat.
I understand as a tourist I would pay more but don’t insult me and or scam me.
Bathroom smelled, shower leaked water and dirty towels were never refreshed merely refolded.
Spa doesn’t exist.
Lamai beach(summer 2024-excellent). Walking on the beach - great view of the hotel from the beach, decided to stop by and book.
Next night we were shown the level number standard and told you would have better..
we booked improved and paid locally.
NEVER do that in this hotel - all rates are non-refundable..
When we were settled, there are no cultural words to describe the horror.
Bathroom and bathroom from the '90s-- all rusty, in fungus, shower (if you can call it that) water, all bathroom in water, after turning on that water.. By the way, if you want to bathe after swimming in the sea in salt water, don't think it will succeed in this hotel- salt water flows from the faucet.. air conditioning after 1 hour of operation drove the temperature of the room from 33C to 28C..
We wanted to refund the money we paid for the accommodation, after an hour.. we were refused, arguing that they had a “non refundable” ..21st century.
Okay, after discussion with the disgruntled hotel managers, we were asked to move from the 3rd floor to the 1st floor. We ended up looking at five rooms-- they were all identically murdered, dilapidated, rotten-- the air conditioning worked relatively well in two rooms.
no service and convenience should even be dreamed of in this hotel.
Personnel- lazy, unwelcome, unpleasant. The head manager stood with that face😖
Room floors that you can break your feet on-- chipped tiles, dried laminate, etc.
There are no lights in the room, no mattress,
I would never advise anyone to...
By the way, Lamai Beach is the 2nd oldest hotel here since 1995, there has been no renovation - draw conclusions about the condition of the building. Management- change(lazy, unclient-oriented, unpleasant).
In any case, the only chance was to upgrade to a premier room from the next day. The room was nice but the cupboards were probably never cleaned. The bathroom also needs to be renovated and needs a basic cleaning. This hotel needs renovation at all. And these prices are not appropriate for this quality. The staff at reception have no ears or interest in your problem. The main thing is that it doesn't work, it won't, we didn't... we are in Thailand very often but we have never experienced such unfriendly reception in Thailand. Our cleaning lady was the nicest and friendliest of all.
The breakfast was sufficient for me personally but the juices were inedible.
The internet is very bad. You get kicked out every few minutes and each time you have to log in completely with your room number and code. Very tedious.

Pro:beach front location
Cons: not a single person greet us the whole stay. (Which is not a big deal)
the room was dirty, moldy and smelly.
The WiFi didn’t work most of the time.
The ac didn’t work well and made it very uncountable and difficult to breath and stay
The food was below average (I just need an authentic local food but they ruined it)
The pool has so many broken tiles as well which was unsafe for visitors
The shower head was on the floor and rusty. Extremely unhygienic.
The manager was grumpy all the time and kept saying this is the “style of the room”
How could unhygienic become the style?
