In 30 years of international travel I've never stayed at a worse location than Spa Resort Village in Lamai. My wife and I attended the resort for a detox retreat. The Village resort is terribly run-down and not well maintained. We had ants in our room on multiple occassions, a frog was in our bed (at bedtime), we didn't have... More

My 4th visit and may not return. This place is sliding into the decrepit. Would it be too hard to create a space for fasters to meet 5 times a day (required for detox drinks) in a pleasant area without being attacked by mosquitoes? Is it that difficult to regularly replace the yoga mats (which stink, are never cleaned and... More

We were recomanded this Spa resort by the place we rented the car in Lamai. Accomodation is composed of shabby wooden bungalows, but equally comfortable with air con. The restaurant menu is an interesting one, since we discovered later the spa offers detox programs and Yoga sessions. Great place to chill and eat healthy and strolling on the beach. Cheapest... The wife and I are just back from nine nights here including a seven day detox - and what an amazing place to do it. Having a beach right outside your A-frame is the perfect antidote to the 07:00 --> 20:30 routine of doing the detox. The staff are very friendly and efficient, the bungalow is all that you need... Amazing place to be, even if you're not detoxing or fasting. Clean rooms, lovely people, nice prices, nice beach and an amazing restaurant. And let's not forget the massages! They have front row bungalows and standard rooms, all are good and nicely priced with airco also!

Thanks to the team at Spa Resort Lami Beach for helping me through my first ever detox! I choose only the 4 day juice it program because I didn't know what to expect but I was sad to leave and felt I could've done the full 7 day cleanse. Every time it felt a bit tough the ever helpful staff... More

Went to the Spa Resort to do the detox/fast. Stayed in the A Frame accommodation (which now has a TV, but didn't use it - why would you?) My accommodation was about 6 paces from the pool and a dozen paces to the beach. The friendly staff cleaned and changed the bedding, linen every day. The accommodation was not 'flash'... More

I have been twice in 9 months to fast for a week so clearly I like the program and its health benefits. The accommodation is now too old to be good enough, something the resort recognises with honesty. They helpfully emailed me a list of nearby hotels to book into - just ask when you make your initial enquiries. Right... More

My first visit to Koh Samui and a good one. The rooms at the Spa Resort are very basic and nothing to write home about but I don't think that is the draw here . Most people were fasting but I thoroughly enjoyed the food-all natural, delicious and inexpensive. The small beach is very nice but the resort does not... More

I first came here 10 years ago and the place and island has changed dramatically since then. I have been here 4 times specifically to do the 7 day fast.Unless you are fasting I wouldn't recommend you stay here now as the glory days have now gone. The rooms are quite adequate and cleaned regularly. But no tv which you... More

“I would recommend staying elsewhere and using this place for the restaurant or the detox program.”

“I stayed in a A frame and although the website says they are on the beach the aren't actually in the sand - more around the pool, maybe it's obvious to others buying expected them to be on the beach. Request one closest to the beach if this is the accommodation option you go with. also if you are a light sleeper take ear plugs as there something across the street that is noisy Thur night and over the weekend.”

“Stay elsewhere, really, you will be much happier. If you must stay, the A frames are quieter but can get strong sulphur smells. The block of apartments are too noisy for sleep-main road metres away from your head. Poolsawat Villa next door is a good alternative. Clean.”

“Bungalow style rooms too small for two people . Also the noise level between these rooms are as if your next door neighbors are in your room. I would opt for a regular room as opposed to the bungalows . Be careful of the step down into the bathroom.”
