We stayed in a pool access room in the old part of the hotel. The room was large with good air con and a decent size balcony. The bed was a little on the hard side but we still slept very well. Maid service was excellent and sheets and towels were changed each day. The grounds were well maintained, the pools were both large and had plenty of sun beds and the location was near the beach and restaurants. Breakfast had a decent selection of Thai fare and the usual bacon, eggs, fruits, cakes, cereals and breads. The Thai food varied each day which was nice. The receptionist was very helpful giving advice on ferry times and arranging taxis etc. This was a very relaxing stay and is now our favourite place on Lamai beach. The Wi-Fi was very good here also and there was a tv in the room but unfortunately no English speaking channels.

Good place to stay in the heart of lamai yet set in peaceful surroundings near to the beach. We stayed in the older part of the hotel in a pool access room with a balcony. The design of room is quite dated in dark wood but it is clean with daily maid service. The bathroom has a good shower and toilet. Air conditioning was good and due to the fact that the Thai style bed was a little hard they put a mattress topper on for us. Breakfast was good with a decent selection of cereals, salads, eggs made to order, Thai dishes and selection of cakes. There are 2 pools to choose from as one is situated by the new build so it was never too busy and sun beds were readily available. This is our second stay here and we would definitely return.

This hotel is located in the heart of the Lamai Beach area, directly across from the Lamai Night Market and a two minute walk to the beach. Spacious beautiful rooms with comfortable king beds ( or two queens) and top quality linens. Very clean and well maintained the staff are all very friendly and helpful. A very nice buffet breakfast and happy hour around the pool from 12:00 - 5:00 pm. Very quiet and peaceful considering it’s handy location. Surrounded by restaurants and bars with shops and massage spas everywhere. This is a hidden gem.

We had booked 2 nights here and the info said "View: park". Turns out the room was with a view of a PARKING LOT which is not the same as PARK.
It was also by the main road so we knew there would be lots of noises from traffic and the bars/music. We told the woman that checked us in that we didn't want this room and she assured it was quiet and that we should "try for the night". So this was a lie and bad service. The beds are really hard also so if you want back problems and sleepless nights feel free to stay here.

During the night we tried to sleep for 2 hours and by midnight we couldn't take it anymore. We heard all the people on the street, loud music and people even talking.
We went to ask for another room and told the guy that we had booked another hotel for the next day and wouldn't use our second night here because we were so disappointed.
Agoda (where we booked) asked if we could get a refund and they said no because they had upgraded us to a "pool view room". That's bad service because they had no choice since it was impossible to sleep in the room they first gave us.
They should've changed the room free of cost because the info on the booking was NOT ACCURATE and the woman in front desk lied that it was quiet once we "close the door".

Here in the poolview room the door is so thin you can hear the corridor and all the noise anyway.
Can't recommend this place at all and we wont come back.

We stayed three weeks and enjoyed the room (Deluxe with Sea View) very much. We stayed here before and they renovated and added a second building and second pool area to the resort.
Everything is very clean and the staff is constantly cleaning and arranging the beautiful gardens.
The hotel is just a few meters from the main road (which means it can be a little louder at night - we slept with earplugs so it didn’t bother us)
Even if the hotel is not directly located at the beach, the access is very easy and the beach is very beautiful.
But here is my main reason for a 5 star review: the staff is incredibly nice and very helpful. Our luggage got lost on the way to Samui and they phoned the airport for us every day and made sure we were taken care of. They never seemed bothered even if we spent some time at the reception checking the status of our luggage.
We also had a special request for the room (two single beds) and they were super helpful and able to spontaneously rearrange our room.
We will come back.

Had a lovely stay at AM Samui Palace with my husband and 2.5 year old son. We booked the suite room and this was perfect and had enough space for the 3 of us since we stayed 17 nights and didn't want to feel squashed in a studio. It was nice to have a separate bedroom for when my son went to bed so my husband and I could chill in the lounge area/balcony. The kitchen was also an added bonus (big fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave). If you have a larger family, the suite room actually has a connecting door off the lounge area to a studio room, so I guess this could also become a 2 bedroom suite.

The pool areas were lovely, we mostly used the pool in front of our room.

We had room service a few times and the food was good.
Breakfast was nice (eggs cooked to perfection each time) although western options were a bit repetitive but this is the same with all hotels I've stayed at.

Staff were amazing, friendly and were so helpful to any requests. The ladies also cleaned the room very well every day.

The location of the hotel is also perfect. Right in the heart of Lamai. Short walk to the beach out the back entrance of the hotel.
Tons of bars and restaurants right at our doorstep. Where our room was located we couldn't hear the noise from the bars. Although I think if you were closer to the entrance you may get some noise at night. But unlike Chaweng, it doesn't go on all night.

Just a note, the massage place right at the entrance of the hotel, cant remember the name, but they did amazing foot massages.

Would definitely stay here again

Hotel ideally located between the beach and the main avenue of Lamaï.
Located in the heart of restaurants, bars, shops.
We were absolutely not disturbed by the noise from the bars.
The hotel has 2 very pleasant swimming pools.
The room is spacious (we had a mini kitchen as well as a living room area with sofa.
Very clean hotel.
Varied breakfast but of passing quality (industrial fruit juices, dairy products in this case yogurts are not kept cool, no spread).
Helpful, welcoming staff, ready to help.
+++ Please note that a shower is available if you wish to freshen up after checking out of your room.
The hotel also has car/scooter parking.
I highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Koh Samui.

This was our second time to Koh Samui a d we chose to stay in this hotel again it's in a great location short walk to the beach one side and plenty of restaurants the other side including a 7 to 11 at the end of the drive. It's a quieter part of Lamai but has a little bit of everything. Hotel staff are all lovely, and the breakfast is adequate with eggs how you like, bacon, pastries, bread, fruit, yoghurt, juice, and the odd chicken and rice soup or curry. Coffee was great. Our rooms were cleaned spectacularly. It's more of a hotel for couples, very peaceful and relaxing. We had a swim up room which we loved. However, the ladder into the pool could do with another step or some rails to hold onto. I'm tall, so a shorter person would have more of an issue getting in and out. It was lovely to swim from your balcony, though. We would recommend and would choose to come back and stay in the same room. We loved it so much we didn't want to leave

A little disappointed at first because we were unable to book a room with direct access to the swimming pool in the second part of the hotel (already all booked) as well as the view of the parking lot from the terrace of our "Superior" room. The hotel is in no way to blame and has also responded to one of our wishes, namely to be calm above all. No noise from music or other entertainment, we slept perfectly well. Located on Lamai Road, absolutely everything is available nearby: bars, restaurants, clubs, food market, laundry, scooter rental, shops, massage, etc. Very good breakfast even if it could be improved on certain points (e.g. quality of croissants or fruit juices), two swimming pools, access to the beach in 3 minutes. Cleanliness, regular replacement of towels, nothing to say. A fairly large Russian clientele and sometimes noisy community (lively discussions at breakfast, etc.) can however prove annoying. Our taxi to the airport, booked through the hotel reception, was very punctual. In short, a good address for the three nights spent there.

Good hotel, well located directly opposite the former Lamai Night Market (Seafood Market) on Walking Street.
The beach is about a 2-minute walk away via a side street. The hotel also has a well-maintained pool with a pool bar.

Compared to the many aging hotels on the island, this one is really well maintained.

The breakfast is a bit meager by European standards, but it does offer Thai food for breakfast.
