The hotel is excellent, boasting a wonderful location. While situated a considerable distance from the Old Town, its central position within the new districts provides convenient access to numerous restaurants, shops, and a shopping mall. Despite its location in a bustling area, the U Nimman hotel offers effective soundproofing. Our room also included a useful small balcony. We particularly appreciated the Thursday-Sunday seafood buffet dinner, featuring a wide variety of seafood at approximately $25 USD per person, inclusive of soft drinks. We highly recommend this hotel.

Great place to stay in Chiang Mai! Front desk staff was excellent, easy check in and check out. They have a 24 hour check out policy, so what time you check in is what time your check out will be which I really appreciate. During check in they planned our check out time & since we had to catch a very early flight they gave us the option to have our breakfast packed for check out, they let us pick from a nice menu of options & it was given to us at check out without delay!
Location 5/5 - right next to the very large Maya shopping center & One Nimman center. Short taxi ride to the old city.
Food 5/5 - really great breakfast buffet, so many options, plenty of seating, the staff was so attentive
Rooms 5/5 - booked a premium deluxe room & was very satisfied with how large the room was, plenty of space for luggage. There was also a sitting area next to the window. Decor was nice and modern but inviting & really appreciated the large bathroom.
Overall 5/5 - would recommend this hotel & stay again! It was in a great location, and is very much worth the price.

The location is excellent, close to Maya Department Store, street food, night life but we are staying on the second floor so where my son’s room has been hit with lots of noise and no wonder there are earplugs provided in the room but unfortunately they aren’t the best. Breakfast is excellent with fresh juices, DIY pancakes and waffles, western style as well as oriental style, spoiled with choices. Room is comfortable but a bit on the dim side and with no shelves inside the shower room so it isn’t convenient if you shared the room with someone who is not that close to you or if I shared the room with my dad. Another reason to book this hotel is that of the balcony since my sister is a smoker but there is a sign ‘Non-smoking’ so she has to go outside during the night and I hope that was made clear saying no smoking on the booking website so we probably have to rethink. Overall, I would stay here again as I am a non smoker but not with my sister and request a higher floor and not on the side of the noisy night clubs / places with loud music.

We stayed at 4 different hotels on our trip to Thailand. This was our favourite. Hospitality is something that the Thai people excel in, but I found it to be slightly overwhelming in some places. It was forced, if you like. But this hotel has the balance spot on. There was no running to hold lift doors open, no shouting of greetings from 10 metres. But there were warm smiles, friendly gentle greetings. From the housekeepers, receptionists, restaurant staff, lobby staff the welcome was warm and natural. Breakfast was a diverse choice of foods to cater for many international tastes. There was plenty of it and was replenished regularly. Tea and coffee orders were taken as soon as we took our table. There is a choice of inside and outside dining with a noodle bar located outside. Likewise the toaster was located in a side area- thus no cooking was done in the inside dining area, which was pleasant. All areas of the hotel we found to be clean and well decorated. It's worth remembering that Chiang Mai is a city. We found that cities in Thailand never stop, so we did experience some noise throughout the night from traffic- We're both light sleepers but we still got good nights sleep. There are many shops, restaurants, a large shopping mall and even a cat cafe less than 2 minutes walk away. If I'm going to make any criticism it would be that the pumps that spray the fine mist outside to keep areas cool must have been located near our room and was audible. Again not overly loud but just seemed to be something that perhaps could be addressed. We will definitely visit Thailand again as we now have family there. If we return to Chiang Mai this will be our go to hotel.

U Nimman has some very obvious pros and a few cons. First the good! A fantastic location near lively markets and shopping. You are in the middle of all of the action. The room service menu is very extensive and really delicious. The oysters in particular are a serious standout and I can’t remember if I’ve had better ones! So probably not! The black silk robes are very nice and the shower is wonderful. They were also able to accommodate my luggage storage needs for longer than anticipated.
Cons: I stayed here two times in one month and my second visit was a lot less smooth. Upon check in after a 12 hour flight I was exhausted from not sleeping and had let them know in advance I’d be arriving at 11am. Then I was told my room wouldn’t be ready until 1. The lobby is pretty small and limited, and doesn’t have easy access to electricity plugs. My two hour wait was a bit uncomfortable and I wasn’t able to check into my room closet to 1:30. The staff also seemed very busy so I probably was not aware of things happening in the background but I found it unpleasant especially since I booked a more expensive room this time. The room itself was nice.
Overall, U Nimman is good value for the location but this is not a five star hotel. It’s more a 3.5-4 star (which will help manage expectations).

We were really pleased with this hotel. Fantastic location, close to the airport and so much happening all around. Pop up night markets in a couple locations nearby and the mall was so easy to get to. The rooms were remarkably soundproofed, we were worried we would hear some of the activity (airplanes passing by, live music at the markets) but as soon as we got inside, it was totally peaceful. The breakfast buffet was awesome, it extended into multiple rooms and even outside to the patio. Great value for the price, would recommend to anyone visiting Chiang Mai!

Have different rate for different category of room ... the one we get was around 3500 thb ( 100€ ) .
But always depend of the season and the category when u book.
Washdrop service is the best. Just go to their website for collection date at the hotel reception, they will deliver to you the next day. Cheap and efficient.
