I've been waiting for ages to stay in the loft studio at Tanagra Guestfarm. I was charmed by it 2 years ago when I first saw it. It did not disappoint one bit. Spotlessly clean, modern and perfectly equipped for self catering and cold nights we were very happy. A view from the bathroom over the dam is one I'd... More

We booked at Tanagra in May this year and had a lovely time at the cottage next to the vineyard. The owners where very polite and friendly, and above all... they sell amazing wine and grappa! Will be back the same time next year!

We visited for a midweek break and stayed at the Hill Cottage. It was a thoroughly pleasant experience from the moment we were welcomed with a wine tasting are the boutique winery until the time we left four days later. Accomodation in offered at the farm or across the main road on the hill (Hill Cottage) or over the hill... More

The Hillside cottage was ideal for my wife and I to spend a quiet relaxing weekend in the country. The cottage is well appointed and sitting high up the hill gives a very scenic view of the valley. After touring the area we came back to sit on the stoep and thoroughly enjoy our cheese, charcuterie and wine while watching... More

We spent two nights at Cottage Hill and it was exactly what we needed. The cottage is away from everyone and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Robert and Anette were friendly and although we didn't go for a walk with Jupp, the other holiday goers seemed to really enjoy the outing with the farm's favorite pet. We... More

We spent the weekend in the delightful Hill Cottage on the Tanagra Wine farm. The cottage sleeps two and is pleasantly decorated. We enjoyed such a peaceful relaxing time there. The indoor fireplace created a very cosy atmosphere. No TV! What a joy not to have one the entire weekend. Lovely cycle and hike routes which ended in the plunge... More

I visited Tanagra in December 2014 (TripAdvisor doesn't give me the option to review that far back) and never wrote a review. I have since gotten in to TripAdvisor and decided to correct that because Tanager made such a lasting impression on me. BOOK THERE NOW. I mean right now. It was one of the best holidays I have ever... More

The most beautiful and remote location! Wonderful hosts, excellent wines and our faraway cottage had everything we needed. There were fabulous walks and the peace and silence we experienced was food for the soul. Although our cottage was remote, its only about 4 km from excellent restaurants in Mcgregor. We will definitely be back!

Every time we go to South Africa we book into Tanagra. Getting there is easy from Cape Town and we are made to feel at home as soon as we arrive. Robert and Annette are just nice people who made a great decision to get into the hospitality and wine business. The restaurants in McGregor are very good and don't... More

We had a really wonderful couple of nights at Hill Cottage. The setting was outstandingly beautiful and the cottage is gorgeous, comfortable and has everything you could need. It was great to cook for ourselves out on the BBQ. And what a great view from your dinner! We did a lovely early evening walk round the vineyards, nature reserve and... More

“We have enjoyed the Loft, just upstairs from the tasting room. Perfect place to relax, enough room for us, and outside breakfast on the verandah was a stunner.”

“If you need anything, just ask! Our king size bed had a net, but recommend bringing mosquito spray. A torch or night light is also a good idea as it is very dark at night. Limited cooking facilities. We stayed in the Garden cottage.”
