This inn is located beside the ocean, and not only are the rooms immaculate but the restaurant provided a gourmet meal sourced from local ingredients. The room was spacious, beds comfortable and bathroom modern. The architecture fits right into the landscape of surrounding mountains and the ocean. Supper was superb: the best I had in Iceland. Our Extreme Iceland tour...

I stayed here for one night and overall it was satisfactory- I wasn't really impressed with what was on offer and the dinner was ridiculously overpriced for what it was, but I understand it's typical Iceland prices therefore so be it. When I went settle my bill on my departure the next day I noticed there was an error on...

The room and bed was comfortable and typical of Iceland (compact, spare, toasty warm comforter). The lodge itself had a nice and spacious lobby/restaurant/bar area. Dinner was good, and the breakfast buffet was pretty robust. We were there during freezing rain, snow and dense fog in January, but could tell the inn's proximity to the beach would be great in...

As someone who prefers campsites to have as little "man-made" and "developed" touch as possible, this rustic campsite was perfection to me. It's on the beach, and parts of it are adjacent to the arctic terns' nesting ground. We felt very much like parts of nature for the two days we spent there.

This was the best campground (setting wise) that we found in our 12 day tour of the island. Every campground in Iceland was easy to leave.... Except this one. The beach that's a 5 minute walk away was empty and SO beautiful. See the pictures I posted here. It seemed to be cash only (1000isk a person) and we only...

We stayed at this place for two nights with our toddler. The restaurant was pretty good, but the room was extremely dumpy, especially considering the price. I do not think we got much value for our money and cannot recommend it. Look for a more updated facility or find a cheaper option.

Having visited several different accommodations through Island - this was the worst one. Not worth the price per night (Euro 206)!! Squeaky beds, poor room service (had even to ask for toilet paper), no hair dryer, no internet access in the room, no water heater .....

The location, friendliness of staff and most excellent meals make me give this location 4 stars even though the hotel itself feel quiet outdated. It seemed they were working on extending the amount of rooms when I visited in July 2016, so this might chance shortly. Definitely a place to consider when visiting the Snaefellsness Area.

This place has been constructing an "add on" for over a year. Construction debris around the property. Not very friendly staff as well. If you can go farther on your day before bedding down, please do so. Very noisy as well.
