Okay, so the lodge needs some renovating, but the staff and the family there were really fantastic with us! We were looking for a non commercialised place to stay with good diving; Speyside ticked both of these boxes and delivered more!! For the price of the package we were on, we did not get our hopes too high, however when...

To get the whole Speyside diving experience where better to stay than the Manta Lodge. Superb diving outfit next to the best diving in Tobago and a great family atmosphere back on land at the Manta Lodge, the accomodation is simple and clean and tidy and all fully functioning. The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly, a real home...

My dive buddies and I wanted to dive Speyside and got a good rate at Manta Lodge. For TT$700 a night (that's US$106) for 3 single beds I expected sometihng better that what we found. We were the only guests at the lodge (NOT a hotel.) The room certainly needs renovation. The folding doors to the balcony do not close...

Stayed at Manta Lodge for 4 nights over the Thanksgiving Holiday. While the family is very nice, have to say - Buyer Beware! The rooms are dirty - bathroom full of mold on the ceiling and in the shower. Actually never took off my flipflops. Toilets are a brown-yellow color, door to the bathroom is brown from hand marks -...

If you want five stars dont go to Speyside fullstop but if you want the best diving with staff who put your safety first but without exception take you on amazing dives then Sean and his crew are the...

I was going to book into Bluewater Lodge but it was closed for renovations in early September so booked into Manta Lodge via Expedia. I showed up at about 10:45 in the morning and the place was deserted. I yelled and finally the grandson of the owner showed up and told me the peple who ran the lodge were out....

My friends were divers and I went along for the ride. The thrill of sharing the open water experience, even from the top, was great. In a flash a large object was out of the water and then splashed in.....wow..... even with snorkel and mask I was able to see beautiful fishes on the reef..and relax in clear waters. Good...

I feel like I was born into this family run business..thats the way they make you feel. No pretense..if you want a Hilton then go there. If they don't have something they can find it..or you can. The food is always great and i tend to flirt with all the staff anyways and Clyde and Sean and the whole crew...

I stayed at Manta Lodge for a long weekend and went diving on all three days I was there. The rooms are fairly simple but well air conditioned, that was most that mattered to me since I did not spend much time there apart from sleeping. I slept very well! The Lodge is located on a beautiful bay and all...

The Manta Lodge is the perfect place for a diving vacation. Restaurant and pool are directly across the street from the beach. Great views and beach access. The diving? Incredible. The dive team at Manta Lodge is superb! The dive spots are full of life and beautiful corals. More fish than I've ever seen - amazing colors. Super friendly and...
