Quaint rustic warm vibes. Outstanding staff and service and good food options. Some parts of the resort are a little worn but it’s part of the charm. We had four fantastic days here. Water sport gear was free to use and the cabanas had idilic views.

Amazing experience. A lovely quiet resort. The staff are fantastic and cater for everything. The chefs looked after our dietaries (gluten and dairy free) with some fantastic meals. The staff genuinely care for every guest. The room was beautiful with a view over the ocean for sunset. I hope to be back! Vinaka!

We had a great time at Nanuya Island resort. The staff absolutely made this trip, they were so welcoming and we had a lot of fun with them during activities at the resort and off the island (shout out to Villimoni, Israel, and both Bill’s in activity team! You were awesome and are doing a great job). Our room was very clean and comfortable, and all food was delicious. Drinks were fantastic, and were kept flowing for us by the great hospitality team (shout out to Tui, Mini and George - thank you for the laughs!) A shame not to get Wi-Fi included in the restaurant area given the room rate was quite high, but we enjoyed the stay very much, attributed mainly to the excellent and lovely staff we met and beautiful surroundings. Thank you, Nanuya! For other travellers - definitely recommend taking the walk to Lo’s tea house across the island. Fish feeding, guided snorkelling and hand-line fishing were also fantastic activities for a couple of hours each day! The boat to reach Nanuya takes quite a while, and is an added expense to factor in to your planning, but we would definitely recommend the time and effort to get away from the mainland. It is a completely different experience!

My wife and I recently spent 3 nights at the nanuya island resort. Our arrival unfortunately coincided with the funeral of the resorts owner Ivan Albert Parker who passed away suddenly on the 19/08/2023. From that perspective we offer our condolences to the family and friends. In terms of our stay here these were the things we liked - Adults only resort and clearly caters for couples rather than families. - Not all inclusive. Room price came with breakfast. You can purchase dinners and drinks and pay at the end. I thought dinners were reasonably priced (45-65FJD). - There is a convenience store attached to the resort you can use to purchase a few items although I would suggest bringing your own alcohol from the mainland. - Rooms were private in the sense that they were individual bures and positioned high up on the hill. This afforded great sunset views as well as capturing the cool evening breeze. - Rooms were well appointed and kept clean. There was a bar fridge so it was easy to mix your own drinks on your sunset balcony. Didn’t have air con but during the time we visited it wasn’t needed. - The island was fairly large and had a range of activities. I agree with other reviewers in that a walk across the island to Lola’s tea house is a must. She makes the most delicious Fijian donuts although I’d advise against the homemade lemonade as I suspect the water wasn’t purified and ended up giving me some gastroenteritis the next day. - As seems to be the trend in Fiji - the real highlight is it’s people. They were so friendly and welcoming even during a difficult time of mourning. They went out of their way to try to include us in the activities. Special mention would go to ‘Mini’. - They run a tour to the caves daily at 0830 at a cost of 120FJD each. - There are numerous large empty beaches and snorkelling spots on offer, in addition to the numerous other activities. - The yasawa flyer drops you off right in front of the resort - Hot water worked well. In terms of negatives - It’s one of the furthest islands north and the last stop on the yasawa flyer. The manta rays are offered but at a high cost of 250pp and it’s a fair distance away by boat ride. - There were a lot of mosquitos so you might want to consider bringing insect repellent. Fortunately all the windows have screens in the rooms. - If for whatever reason you need wifi it doesn’t reach the rooms. I had reasonable reception with digicel.

Loved the hotel and grounds. Restaurant was great and a la carte. Staff very friendly and helpful. Loads of activities to choose from. Didn’t really appreciate the crab-race at night. Thought it was a bit nasty to torture the poor frighten crabs.

I felt like I was dreaming the whole time! Everything about this place is beyond amazing! My sister and I stayed here for 3 amazing nights and we are already planning to book again for a week. From the moment we were welcomed to the resort with such beautiful style we knew it was a special place. The staff are so amazingly friendly and helpful, the food is delicious and so fresh (we were often told the fish we were eating was caught that morning!) and drinks wonderful. The snorkelling just of the beach was incredible, hundreds of fish swimming all around us. We did a great tour to the caves and the guide really looked after us and made the trip so much fun. The entertainment at night was wonderful, something different each night, I especially loved Friday night’s cultural dancing/singing performance. Because there are only 17 rooms it feels super relaxed and secluded the entire time. Loved the spa, the ladies there really looked after us. The whole time we were here we kept thinking we couldn’t love it more, then they would prove us wrong!

We stayed here for 6 nights with 2 couples and one child, in the Superior Villas in the back garden - it was beautiful and spacious. Loved having our own outdoor bathroom with outdoor shower and spa bath. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Comfy bed and robes. We took the Nanuya Express boat. The bar and food was yummy and complementary breakfast of cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit, toast, juice, coffee, tea and baked goods was delicious. We enjoyed walking down to the beach especially at high tide, dipping in the high tide near the bures, paddle boarding, kayaking, a fish feeding excursion, snorkelling trips, our private picnic adventure and spearing fish for the fire (cooked Fijian style with lemon and chilli in salt water), happy hour by the cabannas and relaxing massages. Beautiful singing at dinner and warm evenings. Thanks! Lots of fun with Bill, Bill, Israel, Mika, Dommy, Tui, George, Moni, Lucy, Nancye, Adi, Velise, Zak, Sulu, Salote and Donna. Ni sa moce Isa Lei!

Great 5 day stay at the resort. The Winner here is the location and staff. Beautiful Beaches and views. We stayed in a tree top bure. It was simple but comfortable with a great balcony. The staff were wonderful. Special thank you to Minni, George, Tui, Vil. A few tips. Go for the walk to Lo's tea house. Beautiful views of the island. The cave trip is a bit expensive but well worth it. Food is good but a little expensive as all island resorts. Take some snacks. There apparently is a direct boat from Nadi but we weren't told about it. Will save 3hrs.

We staying in a tree top bure for 10 days. We really enjoyed the view from the room and the ability to snorkel and see amazing things off the beach or only a short boat ride away. The food at the accomodation was excellent and every night new meal options. The bar and cocktails also excellent and they have great kabanas that face the sunset to enjoy them. Our fav part were the staff, so friendly and helpful and made every activity more enjoyable. The room was the only downside, not worth what was paid. It was run down with holes in sheets and towels and not bug proof at all, and no mosquito net provided. There was also no hot water. We would stay again but maybe choose one of the newer rooms if these have not had the easy fixes made.

Beautiful island getaway. It’s situated on the Blue Lagoon. Only accommodates 40 bungalows so peaceful and quiet. No children under 10 allowed. Magnificent beach and swimming in crystal clear water. It’s a shame you can’t access beach right in front of accomodation but just need to walk a little way to magnificent beach and swimming. When tide is out you can swim a little in front of accomodation. Loved our bungalow very comfortable and roomy beautiful outdoor shower. Fresh flowers every day in your room. Lovely day beds to relax and read. Can walk and explore around the whole island on low tide. Lots of activities and tours everyday if wanting to participate. If visiting a must do is to the nearby caves and school and village tour. We had a complimentary continental breakfast which was lovely and plentiful. If we had any complaints it would be the cost of lunch and dinner. As it’s very remote you would expect it to be pricey but it was ridiculous A$30 for a cheese and tomato toasted sandwich for lunch, we went without. Dinner ranged from about A$45-75 for main meal which was very nice but not for that cost. You can take your own wine etc and drink on the day beds or even take your glass to dinner which was fabulous. The staff were wonderful so happy and couldn’t do enough for you. Always there to help especially Israel he was everywhere to help at any time. Got things done. We spent 4 nights which was enough wouldn’t need any more time but thoroughly enjoyed our time on this island of paradise. Hope to return one day the real fiji experience!
