Cannot fault this resort. The entire expereince and service is 10/10. Staff are wonderful, friendly, helpful people. The food is amazing!!! Our favourite was the pumpkin soup and breakfast pancakes. Our room and bathroom was spacious, comfortable, very clean and the bed made/room tidied every day. The use of Kayaks/SUP are free and you can take them out onto the gorgeous water at the front of the resort anytime you want. We went for a sunrise Kayak and it was so peaceful. You don't have to think about a single thing when you stay at CBR as the team have everything sorted for you. Each day, a list of activities is written onto a board so you can book in for any activities you want to particiapte in. We went snorkelling at some gorgeous spots around the Yasawa Islands, visited the caves, walked to the top of Tavewa Island and visited another island village to meet the locals. The hardest choice you'll have to make when staying at CBR is deciding which cocktail to have at happy hour! :D. What makes this resort so unique is the little touches that they add such as staff knowing everyones name who is staying at the resort, coconuts on arrival, beautiful singing every day including anytime someone arrives/leaves the resort and my birthday was made very special. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back! Eimer and Eoin x

Its interesting reading all the other reviews, which is why we decided to come to this resort. To the point, we put off our trip by a week to get the accommodation we wanted here.

Firstly, the staff are incredible, they will do anything and everything for you, and with the biggest smile. Philip, Terri, Brian, Tots to name a few that stood out.

There are many reviews about food, some good, some not good. There is plenty of food, and if you don't like whats on the board, they will change to cater for you if they can ( they get supplies on a a Tuesday). there was one lady that every single morning, without fail, she wanted something different to what was on the menu. Not an issue at all for the staff, big smiles and a change was made.

I don't eat seafood, I tolerate fish if I have too, one night they were serving ceviche in coconut. I didn't know what it was, the moment I saw it, and waved it off, they went and did some somas for me, and apologised for taking a bit longer to get it for me. It was may fault I should have asked what it as on the menu. So if you aren't sure, ask and then you can avoid my embarrassment.

Now onto the strong winds, that kept coming up in the below reviews. We had 3 full days of no wind, and it was HORRIBLE, the place is hot, and sticky the winds help to cool you down. We knew that there was no air conditioning, but figured the winds would help..Well no wind, no cooling down. So all those people before me complaining, you have no idea how hot and sticky and horrible it is without the winds. If you are that precious that you need to lie on the beach and take that prefect photo, then walk 300 metres down the beach and take it there, and be grateful that you have some nature assisted cooling back at your villa.

Do all the snorkelling they offer, yes its an extra expense, but the locations they take you too are all different and lets face it, the reason why you travel to this remote location. The blue lagoon is incredible to snorkel at, (no idea what the other reviewer was complaining about) it was our favourite location. Now onto sunscreen, the reef friendly stuff is definitely better for the reef, the by product is you will be burnt to hell, so if you want to bring that, bring the SPF 50 as well, as a back up, and a rashie, the sun here is strong, and I had to resort to buying a rashie there for the last 2 days, and I dont normally burn.

The caves are interesting and not something I can recommend, so make your own decision on that.

With this resort, book directly with them, and then Sheng ( director) can arrange all your transfers as well. If you go on the sea plane, pack light, and pay double of that of the flyer.

Now with the flyer, book the captains lounge, its air conditioned and you are on the flyer for 5 hours. so the extra cost is worth it. plus they will pick you up from your hotel in Deanaru and drop you back when you get returned.

Lastly the accommodation, there are 2 garden villas at the back, and I didn't get to see them, there are 4 beach bungalows, they are in a duplex setting, so you don't have full air flow coming thru, and they are not right on the beach, We had the beach front villa N0 6 and it was prefect, full air flow in all directions. If we ever go back, this is the only bungalow we would book.

Lastly the West islands get much hotter then the Eastern islands, but it rains more in the East islands.

we enjoyed our time there, the snorkelling was fantastic.

Bula Charmain and thank you for taking the time to write a detailed and very helpful review about your recent stay with us. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your time at Coconut Beach and you thought the snorkelling was fantastic, and thank you for your kind words about our incredible staff who really do go above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful stay. We do have a set menu, but we are always happy to cater for special dietary requirements and most of our guests will tell us in advance so our Chef can be well prepared. If there are last-minute requests, that's no problem at all but it may take a little longer. I'm sorry the weather wasn't to your liking for 3 of your days with us. Calm and sunny days may be some people's idea of paradise whereas others, like you, prefer more breezy days. I'm sorry the breeze gods weren't working in your favour when you were with us, but we do take what mother nature throws at us and she's normally quite generous! Thank you for your helpful tips. The sun is very strong in this part of the world and sunscreen is so important. We do sell sunscreen at the resort (SFP 50) if you run out. Most of our guests love the cave trip and they especially love our very own guides - some say it's the highlight of their trip - but we appreciate that caves are not everyone's cup of tea. We wholeheartedly agree that guests should book direct with the resort. We're always happy to assist with the booking process and to advise on and arrange transfers to and from the resort so our guests can enjoy a smooth and seamless experience without worrying about flights and connections. In regard to our accommodation, we actually have 2 beachfront bungalows (duplex), 4 beachfront villas (2 standalone and 2 duplex) and 2 standalone garden villas. Guests can request accommodation, but it's subject to availability. Thank you again for your helpful review, and we do hope we shall have the pleasure of welcoming you back to our little corner of paradise one day. Vinaka vaka levu and best wishes from the Team

You know the picture on the holiday brochure of a beautiful beach fringed by gentle palms. Invariably the picture rarely matches reality. Except here. Here you get it all and then some. From the moment you arrive you soon realise you are somewhere very special. Having only 8 bures, it is never ever crowded. You won’t get tea/coffee making facilities in your room, but if you ask, they are happily supplied. Same with hair dryer but after the first day I never used that. Very low key. Where shorts, T shirt and bare feet are fine 24/7.
The food was incredible. What a great cook. You will definitely not go hungry.
We were in Bure 5. I was initially concerned it was too close to the restaurant/entertainment but that was over by about 9pm each night. Wifi is only in reception but we got it in our Bure being close by.
The room is basic but very comfortable and the evening sea breeze with the fans kept it cool.
There was plenty to do, shame that due to an injury I couldn’t do much, but the sea was warm, inviting and perfect.
Cannot rave about this charming island enough. Everyone knows your name which was a first for me.
This was the best place to finish our Fiji trip at. Four nights was not enough. Do yourself a favour and don’t hesitate.

Between the friendly staff, the cultural and adventurous activities on offer, and the stunningly beautiful location, this was the perfect vacation. We felt welcomed and comfortable the whole time. With only 8 rooms, it was like we had our own private island! Because of the location of the resort and the small island, we were able to get up early to watch the sunrise from the beach (and the staff had already made delicious drip coffee to enjoy while we watched!), you can also walk a short way around a spit of land to watch the stunning sunsets. There is also a coral reef a five minute walk down the beach for excellent snorkeling. It exceeded all of our expectations, and we hope to make it back soon!

It was our first time to the Yasawas and we felt lucky to stay at Coconut Beach Resort for 3 nights over New Years. CBR had a perfect mix of comfort, tranquility and sophistication that recharged and rejuvenated us. And with the set meal plan we just sat back and relaxed in an effortless island dream world:

With only 11 bures, it was the exclusivity that made our stay so memorable, often feeling we had the whole beach to ourselves. Our Seaview Villa was massive and the impressive bathroom with open air shower was special.

You will lose track of time completely, going from meal to meal. Breakfasts are light, lunches seemed inventive and dinners were 3 generous courses. We enjoyed the selection of local produce and healthy portions.

The CBR team's focus on guest experience also impressed. Staff will be expecting you and know you by name on arrival. Each day offered a rotating set of activities, and there are additional (paid) tour options. The staff may also share their music and song in the evening, which created a lovely atmosphere.

CBR is down-to-earth (sustainable) island luxury, it's better than the words or pictures, and I can't help but think this stay has redefined what I want from a retreat holiday.

One note: If you transfer via express speedboat (not operated by CBR), just be aware that the 2 hour ride can be choppy and rough. Be prepared, the destination is worth it!

Thank you to Sheung, Philip and the whole team! We miss you and can't wait to visit again!

Open Fijian hospitality in an idyllic setting. Small resort with a big heart, beautiful beach, great food, staff are super friendly and fun. Do as much or as little as you like, its your choice. 8 Bures on a south pacific island with activities morning, afternoon and evening, but also a beautiful beach vista to recline and relax on. Easy snorkeling on a protected reef just 50-100 meters walk from the door step.
The food was excellent and plentiful, cocktails were delicious and we were spoilt for selection. We never went hungry. Fish lovers enjoy the Kokoda!!
We are already planning our return. We can not emphasis the big heart of this resort, it is open and welcoming to visitors.

From the moment we were greeted on the beach with singing, introductions to the entire staff, a fresh coconut to drink and a “welcome home”, we were treated to a tropical experience like none other. After a brief questionnaire we were served the first of many gourmet meals. Each and every meal was a fine dining experience, with no chance of ever going hungry! The calls to meal times and events were drummed on the Fijian “lali” to announce to guests that it was time to gather under the peaked breezeway of the main building with the exception of tea time at 4:00 p.m. Coffee and tea was available throughout the day but was especially good at tea time when it was accompanied by freshly baked coconut muffins and brownies, just to name a few. The extensive library on site with games and books was also a great way to enjoy the warm afternoons on lounges and chairs surrounded by a slight breeze. Staff were detail orientated from the booking of excursions to the fresh flowers throughout the room each day. The long white sandy beach (raked by staff daily), allows for swimming and snorkelling mere steps from the shoreline. The individual bungalows included a small fridge supplied with water. The open air bathrooms were a delight with small plants and shells lining the path to the shower and Pure Fijian products, such as shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The intimate feel to the entire resort gave us the opportunity to meet people from all over the world as we enjoyed nightly entertainment and shared excursions. Staff and the owners are very attentive and refer to each guest by name, which creates a feeling of familiarity and really does make one feel at ‘home’. We truly appreciated the day to day conversations with Sheung and Alex and felt like we were leaving family when it was time to go. Special thanks to Philip, Vata, Api, Beta, Mila, Manu, Mas, Josh, Joe, Molly, Abbo, Loga, Eliki, Becky and Mereisi. Vinaka vaka levu…Nadine & Brian

Where to start? We have just returned from an amazing stay at Coconut Beach Resort. The location is stunning with aqua blue waters, white sands and swaying coconut palms over the beach. The warm seas surrounding the resort have wonderful coral and and endless variety of sea life to discover. This can be done by simply simply strolling down from your beautiful Bure, observing it from a kayak or paddle board or by joining the variety of snorkelling trips available. I recommend joining Brian on the snorkelling trips. He has a wealth of knowledge and skills and endless tricks up his sleeve!
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the staff and by the time we left we truly felt like a member of the CBR family. Every member of this awesome team go over and above to make your stay memorable and those behind the scenes keep you very well fed with a variety of delicious, fresh and healthy meals.
The Bures and beautiful and the private outdoor shower a lovely surprise. The housekeeping staff do a wonderful job. Api and Emily do a mean cocktail and Philip keeps the fun going with evening activities (optional but recommended by me 😊). I started every day with yoga on the beach with Kasa which I would also recommend.
If you are considering a trip to Fiji, I could not recommend CBR highly enough - thank you Sheung and ALL your team for an unforgettable stay - we will be back xxx

We stayed at CBR over the Xmas for the total of 7 nights, it was also during the cyclone Sarai which brought strong winds and rain, but the whole team at CBR took an amazing care of us, keeping safe and occupied with other activities. We have very much enjoyed our stay and we believe that there is no better place to stay in Fiji. Sheung and her whole team are extremely friendly, always smiling and would do anything for their guests. If you are looking for a family feel like place, with absolutely amazing food, beautiful private beach, amazing staff and snorkelling just outside your bure you have found the right place. You will definitely feel special at CBR. We loved our stay and will be back :)
Thank you again for everything!

We had the pleasure of staying a week at Coconut Beach prior to visiting two other islands in Fiji. Coconut Beach was by far our entire family’s favorite experience!
The beach front burre accommodations were clean and pleasant with the only item of note being that the shower heat and water pressure is a little tricky till you get the hang of the system.
The water clarity was phenomenal and we had several days of excellent snorkeling. In addition, their wonderful dive instructors, Anne and Richard, took our entire family for our first diving endeavor. Both our children (10 and 12) loved it!
We took several excursions and enjoyed the opportunity to both ‘stay active’ as well as relax with a good book from their extensive house library.

When comparing our experience at Coconut Beach with other resorts (this trip and having previously visited Fiji) I have to say the staff here sets the resort apart from all the competition. They kept us very well fed with delicious and abundant cuisine, and were constantly going the extra mile to ensure we were happy and comfortable. Emily, Tuni, Api, Josh, Brian, Bobby, Terry, Philip and many others all went out of their way each and every day.
Bula from the Cook Family to the Coconut Beach Family!

Bula! Everything can be posted to your room and your final bill can be settled by credit card upon check-out. It's always useful to have a little cash with you in case you want to visit the Caves or the Village and you wish to purchase some local souvenirs from the ladies in the Shell Market. But if you don't have time to change any cash, no worries as we can always work something out. Vinaka!

Bula Melissa, we have 5 standalone units: 2 Beachfront Villas, 2 Garden Villas, and 1 Seaview Villa. Guests can request standalone villas but we cannot guarantee a standalone unit. They are allocated subject to availability according to check-in and check-out schedules. Vinaka!

We have some great dive sites in the vicinity and we often see reef sharks, turtles, sometimes big schools of bumphead wrasse and other schooling fish, sometimes majestic spotted eagle rays. The corals are lovely and in good condition and there's an abundance of colourful tropical marine life. Visibility is good, there's not usually any current, and we generally dive between 12-18 metres for OW divers, although AOW divers can dive a little deeper. The cost for a one-tank dive is FJD165, and for two tanks is FJD320 which includes all equipment. We have a new dedicated diving and fishing boat, Fish n Sips, and our dive sites aren't too far from the resort. Please feel free to contact us direct for further information.

Bula! The Captain's Lounge is an air-conditioned cabin with comfy sofa-type seats, complimentary WiFi, snacks (potato chips) and beverages (wine, beer, soft drinks, coffee). You can come and go as you please, to enjoy the scenery on the upper outer decks, and retreat back into the Captain's Lounge if it gets too hot outside. If you choose the standard seating, you can still sit inside on the lower deck, and there are shady areas outside where you can enjoy the sea breezes without getting frazzled. The cost is FJD185 pp in standard class and FJD230 in the Captain's Lounge. We will pick you up in our boat from the Yasawa Flyer when it arrives in the lagoon to bring you over to Coconut Beach. This shuttle is free of charge. Turtle Airways is located at Wailoaloa Beach and they will pick you up from the airport and drop you off again. Cost is FJD400 per person each way. They have smaller planes that can accommodate up to 5-6 passengers. Pacific Island Air is located at the airport. The cost is FJD455 per person each way. They have larger planes that can accommodate up to 10 passengers. Hope this helps!
