The Soft Adventure Camp: The Soft Adventure Camp has been designed for easy tourists, overland tours, that do not want to spend much money, do not want to carry their own tents, have a simple but clean chalet with More proper beds and private bathroom with shower. Each chalet is individually placed around the granite hill, each has its own car park - right next to the chalet. 2 sides of the chalets are canvas as from 1 m and the other 2 sides are normal chalet walls. The bathroom is tiled and has some open space between the walls and the roof. This has been closed with shade net. It is great - for its 'close to nature-feeling' and with outdoor enthusiasts it is greatly appreciated. The chalets only have a movable water-cooling system, which is not comparable with a proper high-speed & silent air-condition! The Soft Adventure Camp has a central main building, with central cooking facilities. Food is prepared In this open kitchen and served directly. If the wind should be blowing, the sides of this social gathering Place can be closed with canvas. There is a small bar in this unit. Individual guests, who have chosen this option are often taken to Namib Naukluft Lodge for their meals. The Soft Adventure Camp is app. 1.5 km away from the lodge and the distance can easily be walked. However, our guides and staff are also happy to transfer guests - for example in the evening. Less

We stayed at the Safe Adventure Camp, which belongs to the Namib Naukluft Lodge and is located 1 km away. The first impression we had is its sense of remoteness, which is great if you like nature. Despite the chalet being half tent, it was...More

This was the first 'safari style' accomodation of our holiday and we have no complaint, except for the guy who decided to fly the worlds noisiest camera drone during a perfect sunset. Dinner was served from the campfire and was good well cooked food. Thank...More

We stayed at the chalet which was 1 kilometer away from the main lodge. No phone, no wi-fi, no tv just the sounds of birds and wind and we loved it. From our chalet we saw oryxs and on sundown tour springboks, ostriches and warthogs....More

This really is for nature lovers and quite clean for your money’s worth. I only wish they had more rugs inside the chalets and better ways to seal the windows (it was really windy and I got sick overnight). I would highly recommend anyone to...More

Stay in the camp was ok but breakfast and service in the lodge was poor and I am still in discussion about payment because they took it twice from my account and they are not very nice to me so you are warned

You can do it with a regular car but I would recommend 4X4 it will make your travel a better experience. If you wanted to go to the dunes and go off-roading 4x4 will be helpful. You could potentially make a compromise with a... More
