I’m gonna give them a 5 star rating because even without a pool. The service and jacuzzi did it for me. Just like In the reviews I read before I visited Bancroft is definitely the MAN also Nafuna & Adriano we’re equally as awesome. The rooms was spotless and cleaned every day as well as our jacuzzi sanitized daily. They really know how to treat you here. The beach was awesome as well. I enjoyed the peace of mind and relaxation of it all. We had a private chef Samantha who made delicious memories breakfast & dinner. No restaurant on property yet but nafuna referred us to Miracles down the road and it was the bomb.com. I’d definitely recommend if you’re trying to get away and relax. Til next time ❤️

Thanks for publishing a great review. We have a fabulous team and it was kind of you to single out some of them. We are also delighted to read that you were impressed with one of our private chefs. You will be pleased to know our new Beach Club will be opening not later than mid October and will be open throughout the day for informal dining including lite breakfasts.

It’s unusual that photos on a website under estimate the wow factor but in this case they really do! The view over the infinity pool is indescribable(and it’s much bigger than we expected). Sandwiched between 2 amazing beaches it was hard to even want to leave but Antigua is gorgeous and worth going out and exploring! House is well equipped if you like to cook, but lots of options nearby as well! Bancroft and Nafuna made sure we had everything we needed and had great suggestions for when we headed off the property. Can’t recommend it highly enough, we are already planning a trip back!

I stayed in a villa with a Jacuzzi in Tamarind Hills for seven nights. My villa overlooked Ffryers Beach, which was a five minute walk from my villa. I could not have asked for anything more. The villa came equipped with a fridge freezer, a hob, oven, plates, mugs, glasses, utensils and pots. I would note a 'home from home' but my view from my home is not quite Fryers Beach. The villa had a shower, a bath, two sinks; a huge bed and a TV that had access to Netflix and Amazon Prime. Yes there was building works, but I was unaffected by this. A large supermarket was a 35 minute walk away (5 minute drive). Many eateries were a drive away and a tiki bar on the beach, which sporadically sold fresh fish/lobster. I NEVER stay in accommodation twice, however this would certainly be the exception. Margarita, Nafuna and Bancroft are exceptional assets to Tamarind Hills and topped off what was a fabulous stay at Tamarind Hills ;o)

We recently stayed for 1 week in Ocean 9, a stunning 4 bedroom villa with breathtaking views over the beach and sea. We were quite surprised when we arrived, as the villa is deceptively large. The bedrooms are all very spacious with super comfy beds and pillows. The villa has fabulous air conditioning and a perfectly equipped kitchen. The balconies were beyond expectation and as two families together, we had so much indoor and outdoor space, we never felt on top of each other. The infinity pool was incredibly pretty, although some more sun loungers would have been appreciated (there were only 2). The villa overlooks Ffryes beach, which was one of the prettiest beaches we saw on the island and was always quiet. At the other end of the beach was lively Dennis's beach bar which was lots of fun and only a few minutes walk. Sheer Rocks also, was a lovely sophisticated place for a night out. We hired a car which was essential in our view. The staff at Tamarind were super helpful. Nafuna was always on hand to book restaurants and help us out with recommendations. Young Adreano (?) on reception was so lovely, smiley and happy. He was super sweet. And the ladies on the security gate were very conscientious, always counting our party in and out to make sure we were accounted for! And always with a lovely smile. Admittedly there was some noise from the final part of the construction. But the management dealt with this as best they could during our stay. I understand that the resort restaurant, bar and pool are due to be completed this year. We would love to return when everything is finished, as it will be amazing. I cannot stress enough how luxurious the villa was, with exquisite views. But for now there are no other facilities on site. We would not hesitate to recommend and would love to return when the resort is completed.

Thank you for posting such a nice review. I will make sure your appreciation is passed on to Nafuna and Adriano at Reception, Shermain and Tracey on the back gate. As you say Ocean 9 is a really beautiful villa with plenty of space for everyone, but I have noted your comments about only having 2 chaise. We are all excited about the new restaurant, bar and pool facilities coming on stream. It will all look amazing when finished and opens in October. We will look forward to welcoming you back

This year will be our 3rd visit to this property in the last few years. Needless to say, we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here every time. If you are looking for a vacation away from the all-inclusive resorts, this is the place. You are steps away from beautiful secluded beaches, minutes away from a supermarket, and a short drive to restaurants. There are also a couple of beach restaurants/bars within walking distance (we found Darkwood restaurant great). Nafuna has been great at accommodating us each time and has made it easy to get COVID tested on-premises. Unfortunately, the property has not had a big pool or restaurant on-site, but they are working on opening one later this year, making this place ideal. Regardless, this place is fantastic, and you won't regret staying here.

If you want luxury rooms, exquisite views, prime location on the most beautiful beach, and friendly and top level service from a team led by an extraordinary concierge (ask for Bancroft!!!!) --- then Tamarind Hills is where you want to be. As a bonus, these suites also have amazing kitchens which make morning smoothies and breakfast delights super easy (and any other meal too ... but hopefully you'll be out exploring the beaches and other parts of the island!!). You will have an unforgettable experience if you stay here!!!

My husband and I stayed here for five nights and enjoyed the facilities in our one bedroom with jacuzzi. The room was modern and spacious and it has everything you need for a self-catering holiday. Although the bath did not work due to a lack of water pressure. The major issue we encountered was the noise from the construction which was quite unbearable at times. In addition, the surrounding areas are fairly unsightly so be prepared for this if you choose to stay here and take up the discounted offer. We did not use the sunbeds provided by the hotel and paid for the ones by Dennis Restaurant which is at the other end of Ffryes beach - honestly at $20 per day - it was worth it! We went to two local restaurants for dinner and they were excellent - Sheer Rocks at CoCo Bay resort and Miracles near Jolly Harbour, both only a short taxi ride away. The latter is definitely highly recommended and will not break the bank! One final top tip, I would recommend going to the supermarket before arrival at the property, as there is no where within easy walking distance for breakfast!

Everything really exceeded our expectations. The views at Tamarind Hills were magnificent (especially the sunsets on the water!), the staff was super friendly and accommodating, the beach was not crowded at all, and the suites are comfortable and spacious with large balconies. My only suggestion would be to bring some food and a few large bottles of water when you arrive since they only provided two small bottles daily and the water isn’t potable. (We brought our own coffee too and just boiled water on the induction oven for a few minutes - I’d also recommend bringing coarse ground coffee since they provide a French press in the suites.) Dennis’s bar is a very short walk down the beach and we were able to have a few lunches there. It will be nice when the new restaurant is open to have another dining option nearby. There was some construction going on during the day but it wasn’t too bothersome. We ended up getting taxis to nearby restaurants most evenings since it’s not a very walkable area. (Try the Fox House for dinner, just a short drive away.)

The Sunset Vistas is a suite with 2 king bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom. Be aware it’s up high - great for sunset views - but a climb of 120 steps up the stairs from the beach. A smallish but completely adequate kitchen ( no eat in table, just bar stools at the kitchen island) the suite also has small sitting room between the bedrooms — as well as two, very nice - generously sized - outdoor patio areas with sun loungers, ‘eating’ table and four chairs, and a small plunge pool. There is shade on one side of patio in the morning and on the other side in evenings) The views are lovely (although you do see the construction going on, it’s NOT a BIG issue). The rooms all look very much as shown in photos on Tamarind Hills website. The decor is interesting and kind of cool looking (but some of the furniture is impractical and uncomfortable for sitting). The beds and pillows were very comfortable and much appreciated with good quality bed linens. Housekeeping was very good. The resort staff, especially Bankroft and Nafuna, took care of arrangements for everything we needed - they did some grocery shopping for us before we arrived and we appreciated that, organized a couple of days of car rental, taxi one day, airport transport and also Covid testing for travel back to USA. Very helpful staff overall. So, in sum, Sunset Vistas 2 bedroom suite - great views, two lovely beaches within minutes walk are the highlights. Our suite had very nice outdoor patio areas. (Other suites - or the villas - will have different specifics.) We knew restaurant wasn’t built and that construction was ongoing, and those were two things we would have liked - an on-site restaurant and no construction in our views - that would have made our stay better. Maybe choosing for us - something with less than 120 stairs to climb would have been better too. We are not as young as we used to be! Also we would have liked more comfortable sitting room furniture. Be aware they do fogging a couple of times a week to keep mosquitoes population down, which is good. We didn’t want to be outside when they were fogging (just after sunset, but only a couple of days during the week we were there).

This is our third time visiting Tamarind. We stayed at a 2 bedroom villa, a 3 bedroom villa and now the kingfish one bedroom .They have all been spectacular in their varying views. We had a sunken hot tub on our deck this time at the one bedroom with a wonderful view of Ffryes beach and a sunset each evening! The new places are gorgeous. I can't wait to return when the bar, pool and restaurant are finished!
