We had a room on the front row at the back and it was great. The fan was fine for us and we had a lovely view from the room. Bugs can get in but we didn't think this was too much of an issue. You are in Vietnam and bugs can get in whether you have glass or not. The only time we spent in the room was sleeping. Personally I hate air con and think fans do the trick perfectly.
