Nestled on a stunning beachfront, the InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort garners praise for its immaculate grounds and rooms, which guests find spacious and inviting despite occasional decor critiques. The exceptional service, marked by staff's warmth and efficiency, enhances the relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere complemented by live music and picturesque ocean vistas. I have been to many InterContinental hotels (including in Europe, Asia, Australia, Fiji, Tahiti). I must say that InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach resort is not only the best InterContinental I have been to but the best hotel as well.

Location is fabulous. Beach is just right in front of the hotel. There are many nice signs, beach stairs and beach swings on the beach. You can use them to take pictures with them completely free of charge. Please note if you go to other beaches (e.g., Sao beach) in Phu Quoc, you need to pay for such a thing.

Room was very beautiful. Oceanview was gorgeous from the balcony. Bathroom included a shower and bathtub too. Bathtub had an Oceanview too.
Coffee machine with capsules were free of charge.

Dining experience was great, and food was delicious. Best experience was the breakfast, not only because of the huge variety of food but the super nice staff too. I have allergic reaction to gluten and the staff was always extraordinary helpful to provide me gluten free food. I wish I know their names to say a huge thanks. Please management tell your breakfast team that they are the most professional staff I have ever seen.
Dinner was delicious and nicely decorated both in Lava restaurant and Sea Shack too. I would like to say thanks to Hoi, Uyen and Tuan at Sea Shack restaurant for their kindness and professionalism.

Swimming pools: there are many swimming pools for kids and separated ones for adults too. Additionally, there is an infinity pool in front of the main building.

INK 360 Rooftop bar: that was something I haven't seen before. On the 19th floor/roof there was a really nice bar with a wonderful view of the beach. If you want to take sunset pictures this is the best place I would say. The bar had DJ nights and the cocktails were the most beautiful ones I have ever seen.

I would like to say a huge thanks to all Staff and management for their kindness and making our stay pleasant. I can't wait to stay at InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort again.

Thanks to the incorrectly book flight, we had the opportunity to stay in this wonderful resort.  We arrived past 2pm, check in was smooth and very detailed. We were then escorted to our room, while on the way, the receptionist explained to us the different venues in the resort.  As he overheard that we are interested to take some good photo opportunities, he then proactively offered and introduced in demand venues for good sunset shots. The room is spacious with complete set of room amenities, huge bathroom and a nice bath tub that gives a good view to the garden outside. We headed to the beach for a while to have a look around the area, it was spotless, well maintained that even on barefoot, you can feel the clean and powdery sand as you step on it.  We spent a bit of time lounging in the hammock grasping fresh breezy air that Phu Quoc has to offer.  Catching sunset views and sip of great selection of cocktails and wines on the 19th floor Bar Ink360 is something not to be missed.  The service is impeccable combined with mouth watering small bites, i wish the sunset could be paused for while.  The staff could  not do enough for you, they speak english well too.  We headed out to the city center at night which is 20 minutes away, the front doors team were so proactive in assisting us to get a cab.  The facilities of this resort are well maintained, keeping their promise of top level cleanliness and hygiene in every angle of the business during this difficult times of Covid19, indeed as guest, i felt very safe.  The gym have complete equipments and clean towels ready for guests. While i like every section of the resort, my favorite part was the huge two level swimming pool that they have.  Its clean, elegantly positioned and designed in the center of the resort, for a while, i feel i owned the whole pool. The breakfast restaurant which has a terrace that gives you a nice view outside offers selections of local and international cuisine. True to its assurance of high level of cleanliness, stanchions are in place in each section to maintain appropriate social distancing.  They had modified some offerings to ensure guests minimal contact on buffet stations which is greatly appreciated, a testament that they care with utmost priority for staff and guests alike.  As we had a late flight, requesting for late checkout is not difficult, this proves that an empowered staff gives the best service!  I wish we can stay longer but unfortunately it was not the case.  This resort is highly recommended for those who wanted spend time in the island to experience unrivaled service beyond what is expected, excellent facilities and unparalled sunset view.

my first impression was not good as they refuse to pickup me from town, instead of airport, and unable to arrange my early check in. So I tried much to gather more evidence to review them, but totally fail =))
Except one small thing that the funiture and room decoration is a bit under expected, and I dont have a fancy bathroom view as in the hotel introduction, the others were much more than pleasant.
The resident room has washing machine, very good hair dryer and other room amenities including plenty bottled water for the whole famiky large balcony, lots of wind and fresh air. we even not use a/c for the whole stay.
beach and large was perfectly cleaned, helpful staff, plenty of sun chair, and a beautiful small pool which fit kids at diff height, surrounded by trees (but actually the leaves impair the water quality a little bit), large kids club, lots of toys and activities
breakfast is tasty with various choice and extreemly perfect croissant, fresh juice and tropical fruit. There is a noodle soup station which taste quite good, and the lady there helped a lot to prepare kids serving

The hotel is nice and quiet, suitable for relaxing. The kid club is an excellent add-on to the services. Ms. Kim at the Kid club is a decent teacher for kids. All Staffs are nice and helpful.
Western restaurant and Sky Bar only opens on weekends so we sadly didn't have a chance to experience.
Breakfast is good but still lack of diversity, maybe because of Covid.
We called Room Services to order a pizza to our room on Dec 1st. The staff told us the pizza prices and menus after checking with the chefs that it would be okay for us to order one to our room. However, after we chose the pizza, Room Services Staff called back and told us that the chef couldn't serve the pizza because they didn't have enough ingredients or something. I know that the resort closes down some restaurants on weekdays to cut down the cost, but we wish that the Room Services Staff and Chefs could work together better to give clearer answers to the guests. You should not tell us that you could serve pizza then let us down a few minutes later, that was not that professional as I expected.
Some places were still under renovation, but overall everything else was still okay.

The Hotel is located about a 20 minute drive from the airport, but heading South away from the main Phu Quoc town. Nonetheless, the property is well maintained, generous number of water facilities, and an almost exclusive beach for use by hotel guests.

We had a superior room, sea facing, The room was fairly sizeable, well kitted out, clean, bright and airy. The bath and toilet was well equipped with the usual condiments of shampoo, hair conditioner and bath gel, although house keeping was rather stingy on soaps. Our bar of soap was used down to a sliver, and yet it wasn't replaced.

Food wise......breakfast was an okay type affair. Choices were reasonable, food was well presented but fairly normal. Bacon, sausages, eggs, Vietnamese noodles, pastry etc were fairly run of the mill. However, lunch and dinner were awesome. Though there weren't a lot of choices, the food nonetheless was extremely good, and the prices were very reasonable. Table service was exemplary.

Overall, I would thoroughly recommend this Hotel, and would look forward to returning in the near future.

We've been many times to Phu Quoc but this has been definitely our best holiday thanks to the chosen location!
The hotel is 15 min from the airport and 25 from the city center. It's Covid time around the world su not much is open on the island but thanks to the superb weather we managed to go around, hop btw islandsanf take the longest cable car in the world.
Back to the hotel I can only recommend it. Staff was absolutely available and well prepared! The restaurants (although the Lava was closed) were just what you need! The Sea Shack on the beach with daily live music was perfect!
Pools are big and there's plenty of space to lay down with fresh and big towels always available.
The 2 bedrooms family room was even too big and it had everything what you might need, even nespresso coffee refurbished daily!
Front Office manager Joey was very helpful and kind.
The biggest applause though goes to the staff of the Kids Club. During the weekend (could be the whole week) they run a special program also with cooking lessons. And there is a very nice and convenient kids playground pool just next.
We didn't enjoy much the beach but not sure why. They also have water jets, canoeing, etc
Last but not least the Ink360 sky bar!

Definitely a 5 star service worth coming back!!

We chose classic room with ocean view.
The view was not really superb, becase the sea was a bit far, and the resort is not very high.
Anyway, it was still very relaxing room and overall a nice choice for our family during chrismas.
We loved the surprise chrismas cakes for kids when coming back to our room!
Breakfast was well prepared, but keep in mind that the smaller restaurant does not have as many choices as the bigger one, so if you come late you will go to the smaller one, less choice of food but it is near the beach so you have nice atmosphere.
The hotel arranged many activities everyday for guests, and we really enjoyed the fire dance performed at sunset.
Our kids really loved the kids pool with slides.
My personal favourite was the choices of pillows because I could choose the thickness suitable for me.
What is more, the kids club has any friendly staff that can babysit your children, while the parents can go away for a while.
The other staffs are also very very nice to us.
If anything needs to be improved, I think the scent of the room can be a little bit more elegant. It will be wonderful if the resort can provide with aroma diffuser.
And also, a mini mart would be superb because there is no shops nearby. (a closest one is 2km away)
We will come back definitely.

I saw a review below saying not for solo travellers and I disagree wholeheartedly.

This is to date my favourite hotel in Phu Quoc Island. The room was amazing. View amazing. Pool. Amazing. Food amazing. (Need a new adjective I think).

All hotels have their issues, but InterCon PQ was fast to respond to any issue no matter how small.

To the below poster of course there’s kids it’s a resort :) move rooms if too noisy, staff were amazingly accommodating of any requests I had! The pool area is gorgeous and there’s two pools. When one was noisy I’d move to another. Again though I stress it’s a resort so you do expect some noise! The beach area is soft and well maintained, I had a fantastic seafood bbq at the Sea Shack there (the beach restaurant), we also ate at Lava, but I must say the freshness and BBQ of sea shack was more appealing to me :)

We also upgraded to gain access to the club lounge, great afternoon tea and evening cocktails (probably drank too much!) the tranquility of the club lounge was nice, private pool there just for club guests so if you need a break from the extreme heat but don’t want to be near the crowds go here.

I also recommend the spa, professional and great technique.

Overall a 5 star stay! We loved it.

For sure we're in Covid time, services are much less than in normal time but prices are not much less. Some lights didn't work in the room, we asked for repair, it worked for 1 hour. All the electrical plugs in room and bathroom didn't work, we had to use the hair dryer in the living room. If someone ringing at the door, several lights turned on in the room, quite scrary. The worse is that during the full stay (4 nights) the toilets seats haven't been cleaned. That is a minimum and has no link with Covid situation. The fridge didn't work also, we asked to repair but no improvements... Regarding the restaurants, the main one was closed and the second one had a tiny menu with several dishes missing. As Spire Ambassador, I'm always recognized as a special guest but not this time. To finish on a positive note, the lounge provided good service as well as the kid club. I don't think that we will return to that resort.

Dear 694celine, Thank you very much indeed for taking the time to leave a review of your recent stay with us. I was disappointed to learn that your recent stay was not as enjoyable as the first one, and thank you very much for giving us feedback on the areas that you feel need improvement. I would like to apologize that you experienced some electrical problems in your room, and that some areas in your room were not cleaned. Please rest assured that I am reviewing all aspects of your stay that you mention with the team, and I have already arranged additional training sessions with relevant areas of the resort to ensure that these situations do not happen in the future. As a IHG rewards elite status holder, I have started to stay at IHG group hotels recently. This InterContinental Phu Quoc resort is one of the best hotels I have stayed around the world. Firstly, all the staffs (no exceptions) are all attentive and kind, and seems they are truly enjoying working there. There are many ways to show their welcome to the guests at the check in. Rooms is large for the price, and views from most of the rooms are great except for some mountain view rooms. Wide variety of breakfast buffet is also a reason for me to come back to this hotel. Only one thing, I wish they could provide shuttle bus service to/from the airport and night market area. This hotel is in the middle of (kind of) nowhere, though the bars and restaurants at this hotels are also great though.
