Our family of four stayed in this hotel for a week. It was a package deal we bought at a low price. The room we got was decent, but most other things about the hotel were not good. There is very little staff. In the evenings, one person is waiting the tables in the restaurant, attending the reception, and tending...

This hotel is a real gem! We spent there one week last year during October 2013. With excellent directives you won't miss the hotel even though it is situated in the heart of the forest. The parking lot was free of charge. Breakfast was substancial and well organised in the buffet style. The room was large. The park area around...

This is one of the nicest hotels I know. It is quirky in various ways - it is hidden in the woods, it has low staffing levels (though they are very helpful and friendly), and it won't suit the Ramada or Hilton jetsetters. But it suited me - I appreciate a good sized room, with a balcony overlook a bit...

I had a long-term contract in Nordhausen, and so stayed in the Park Hotel for a year. It was magical - the rooms were large, they practically all had baths, the service was wonderful and friendly, and the food was first-rate (but be warned - the restaurant shuts at 8pm). This is the perfect spot to stay if you want...

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. The park area around it is nice, parking is for free. When we wanted to check in, there was nobody, then the woman who vacuumed the floor was also the receptionist and the next morning she was serving breakfast. The room was old and very small, the bathroom very narrow. The hotel...

“There are four first floor balcony rooms, one of which just has a shower. The central two have an interconnected balcony. All are quiet - if you leave the windows open, the only noise likely to disturb will be the deer wandering through the grounds at night.”
  • View from the balcony - very rural and quiet
  • Good car park

“Ask for first floor rooms with balconies. Note that the signal for mobiles is poor. The internet works best in rooms at the middle. Get to the restaurant before 8pm! The fish is excellent. They will make a special menu in English for you. Great country for walking or horse riding - or just wandering by bike or car. No biting insects that i noticed. Try the local German red wine.”
