We went to this B&B because of Trip Advisor raving review. What we found was a beautiful space but a dysfunctional establishment. The staff was unhelpful, the room upkeep was faulty, dinner was terrible, and overall the place seems to be disintegrating. This is a shame because it is beautiful and has great potential.

Taroudant isn't an obvious must for a short trip to Morocco, but that's what we liked about it. It's a walled city with a maze of streets and alleys that played an important role in the history of the country, as it was once capital of the Saadians. Today you'll enjoy the souks and the flavor of a Moroccan city...

Having spent a week we can highly recommend this delightful traditional riad in the heart of Taroudant. This is a female-run establishment and we learned owned by a Belgian doctor. The staff were very attentive and happy - lots of singing in the kitchen. Zorra (?) the receptionist was a delight. Food excellent and plentiful. Lots of hot water, tranquil...

A lovely warm welcome and equally lovely meal on arrival. We needed to get a taxis from the airport, £35 but was worth with it as hotel tucked away. Staff all genuinely happy and friendly and nothing too much trouble. Lots of interest in local area and staff half to co ordinate with excursion agents, which are reasonably priced. Quiet...

The riad was undoubtedly beautiful. There was a lot of space at the oumensour, with salles and lounging space galore. What was missing was a regular presence within the riad - for example in the morning there might be up to 5 women working the daytime shift. In the evening, you were lucky to see anyone t all, or if...

Excellent hotel in the middle of the city for a reasonable price. The owners were very friendly and hospitable. The hotel was great with lots of little pools, a big balcony area and nice communal lounges. I'd highly recommend the dinner - they made some of the best soups I've eaten. Breakfast was also delicious. Thanks again Palais Oumensour

Visited Taroudant as a break from Agadir. Travelled on CTM bus which turned up an hour late, so depite having replied to a courteous pre holiday e mail from Oumensour management enquiring if I wanted dinner, I arrived with 5 minutes till 12.00 cut off to order. Given the choice of cooscous or couscous I decided to decline and eat...

W spent several highly enjoyable nights at Palais Oumensour in October. The traditional interior is exceptionally elegant, cool and relaxing. The sophisticated restoration of this lovely old town mansion makes it particularly pleasurable. Our room was very cool and spacious as was the bathroom and shower. It looked down over the elegant courtyard filled with native trees and shrubs. The...

We had a marvellous 4 days at Palais Oumensour , a beautiful and spacious Riad located in the Medina and within the very ancient. town walls . Taroudant is a traditional and authentic Berber market town in the middle of the Souss river valley. It is a good place to best understand Moroccan culture , Berber souks and visiting markets...

We only had one night there, but wished we had more. The "palace" is a fine structure that has been renovated as a hotel. Our rooms was big, had lots of character, and had windows onto the central area. The bathroom was also very big (though the toilet closet was too small for my legs!). They usually do a set...
