Capuka😉... It was my 1st trip with my fiancee and we spend awesome time in this quiet and relaxing hotel. Specially breakfast team are really helpful and always pay attention to details (halal food for us as we inform them the 1st day... ).Need just to improve more regarding transportation to distraction places and more international dishes in the a la carte but everything is OK and the manager, Chefs, all the team are amazing like all the puket people we have met. I can't forget that we haven't ride a bycicle more than 4 years but this hotel make us renewing our energy 😂😂😂😍 Inch Allah we will come back one day. Ms M take care and take care of the team.
To be honest this is not the usual place we like to stay while travelling as we tend to go all out on a 5 star hotel but as we booked this 1 month prior to departing most of the accommodation was fully booked or charging extortionate prices due to the time of the year. We came across this hotel on teletext and was sceptical about booking as it looked basic however we have been pleasantly surprised staying here. Don’t get me wrong it’s no Savoy hotel however definitely a strong 3 star by British standards. We spent 10 nights in a large room which consisted of a large reception area, kitchen and a separated sleeping area with queen sized bed. Some of the furniture looked dated however nothing to moan about. The main selling point of the room was the amazing view of the beach and sea which was no more than 30 steps away. The room also came with a hair dryer, large family sized fridge which got replenished with two bottles of water per day. Two beach towels and a woven beach mat which came in handy and saved us buying one. This is definitely a great location if your looking to stay away from the noise and hassle and bustle of Patong and makes a great location for honeymooners on a budget or just a couple looking to get away for a romantic break as the beach is fairly intimate compared to any other I have seen in Thailand. With that said the location of the hotel is quite remote so you will need to hire a scooter from one of the many local rental places (£7.00 per day) or a car to get about as it’s about 200 -400 Baht each way to get anywhere around here and could start to add up after a few days. There is a free shuttle to the old town for shopping which is offered daily but we never took them up on it. The staff are attentive however due to the language barrier they often misunderstood what you are asking for. I appreciate we are in their country and we should at least try to communicate as much as possible in Thai however I would of thought that somebody who works in hospitality and deals with hundreds of tourists per month should at least know basics in English, Russian etc. Especially if they are front of house or working behind the bar!!! The breakfast is fairly basic I have to say however there is still enough to fill you up to see you through to lunch, I recommend sticking to the omelette. We tried lunch at the hotel on the first day of arriving as we wasn’t familiar with the surrounding and was fairly disappointed. It came to 790.00 Baht (£19.00)which is not terrible however was very basic in taste and had better in London. Disappointing as we are in Thailand where all the produce should be fresh and bursting with flavour. We often ate at the Beach Bar restaurant on the beach (come out and turn left, 6 min walk) which had a menu 10 times as big with tons of flavoursome seafood and local dishes and strong cocktails for 100bht each (£2.50). I must also recommend another local restaurant called Pintochanlhek which is about a 9 minute walk from the hotel. These guys offer outstanding Thai fusion cuisine. The butter beef is out of this world. Overall I can’t really knock this place, I paid on average of £96.00 per night so you definitely get your money’s worth. …
This was my first time in Phuket and after all the traveling I couldn't have picked a better place to relax, unwind and recharge before moving on to see the bustling Patong beach area which will likely make me wish I had stayed here on the Panwa Cape which is absolutely lovely. The view and sunset from my room at By The Sea lived up to its name and was spectacular (all rooms with a water/sunset view). Manager Nang has her staff trained to be very helpful and courteous and she leads by example. Will be back❣
First of all we would like to thank all the staff of the hotel for hospitality. In general, we liked Thai people so much for their calm character, kindness and helpfulness which is so needed for tourists. The hotel and staff is really very good. It would be better if more people working in the bar speak English. The beach is very quiet for sunbathing but totally impossible to swim, because of many stones and rocks. Also there are too much trash and bad smelling liquids from sewer pipes on sand. It's possible to solve these inconveniences walking about one km. to adjacent beach or going by taxi to the big beaches on the western coast of Phuket island but it takes time as streets are crowded enough.
We stayed at BY The Sea over Christmas 2019 & as it was our first trip to Thailand, we were a bit nervous about what to expect. The hotel was exactly what we were hoping for. We had two bedrooms, two bathrooms with a sea view. The hotel is right on the beach with a pool & restaurant. The beach has a few other hotels & restaurants and although the area was not busy, it had a great atmosphere in the evenings with some of the restaurants putting tables out on the beach. Whether we ate at By the Beach or at other restaurants, the food was great & the locals friendly. This was nice & relaxing, definitely did not feel like a tourist trap. The staff at By The Sea were very helpful & friendly. Always happy to answer questions & organise reliable taxis when we wanted to explore further. We will most definitely be back!…
