WARNING please be aware. People OK. Very basic. Problem was the price of a £1.30 can of Heineken that cost £6 a pint its more expensive than a *5 Star hotel ie a complete ripoff. The small cans were warm, the glasses were poor quality, the service terrible. I don’t write negative review but I’m making an exception. Just down the road (50m) called the Beach Bar and Restaurant you can get Cold Beer at 50% less overlooking a Beautiful beach together with good quality food.
My partner and I stayed at Villa 1 for a few days over the weekend. The villa had a breathtaking view of the ocean, white yachts rocking luxuriously on the water and several mountains. We could even see the Big Buddha statue sitting so magnificently on top of a mountain. The best part is that the bed faces the view and it is the first thing that you will see when you wake up in the morning. I love the experience of waking up so much! Also, the pool is wonderful as it cleans itself every few hours or so. Ahmin, the hotel manager, is a great host. He was usually available when we needed him. He has a sweet and gentle disposition which made me feel very comfortable. He invited us to the re-launch of their restaurant by the beach and we went. The beach area is surely not as luxurious as others but it still has its charm. Its quite rustic and quaint. The sunset view was fabulous. Overall, I enjoyed my stay thoroughly. There are a 2 areas that I think can help the hotel improve. 1) There were a few mosquitoes in my room 2) The water heater works but there is some problems with the consistency of heat 3) Offering vegetarian/vegan options in the room service menu…
Very warm welcome by the family! We spent 2 nights in a 2 bedroom pool villa with a stunning panoramic view over Chalong Bay. The hotel is a little run down as it is family owned and business is probable not always easy, but the place is full of charm. The villa was very spacious, clean with AC and the private pool is a real luxury, my 10 year old daughter had a lot of fun. Breakfast is taken in a typical Thai hut on the white sand beach with cristal clear blue water, so charming. For diner we recommend the beach bar 100m right on the beach, they serve very good Thai food and the best Mai Thai cocktails for 3$!! We chartered a catamaran who pick us up directly in the beach and Anton, the manager and the while family gave us a wonderful farewell.
We just had an amazing stay at Dream Sea from 12/23-12/27 for the 1st part of our honeymoon. From the initial point of contact, communication with Anton through email was easy and he was very prompt. Airport pickup waited patiently for our arrival after midnight. Our room had a beautiful sea view and was even more spacious than the pictures showed. Breakfast by the beach every morning was a great way to start the day. We were content to lounge by our private pool, have meals in our room or by the beach and go out for dinner most nights. The sunsets from the room were a bonus. The bathroom was huge with a big bathtub and shower, the bed was comfy, there was storage for your clothes, and the living room had a tv, fridge, safe, and minibar with 4 free waters everyday. Mr.Seo and his wife were very friendly and he drove us to town when he could. The service we received was very special and we love this kind of place- not a 5 star resort but a personalized villa stay. There were 2 weddings while we were there so even though the beach area is small, it's shaded by palm trees and very peaceful. The idyllic setting means it's not close to towns/shops but this is the trade off for the tranquility. We'd highly recommend Dream Sea to anyone who wants to enjoy a private pool and have a hospitable accommodation by the sea! …
Booked this Dream Sea Pool Villa for 6 days. Official photo's looked very good but after arrival it appeared to be different (see our pictures): the mattress was of bad quality: very old and totally moldy. The pool was dirty and a dead bat was not removed for weeks. It was clear that one did not invest in the premises for years. We checked out after one night and had to pay a penalty for not staying the whole period... And the price of this villa is like a four star villa elsewhere in Phuket (expensive). The only good thing to say is about the very helpful and kind staff. To go short: think TWICE before you book this 'Villa'. Check out our pictures first. There are many more good quality villa's for less money in Phuket.
