Well priced accommodation for people who enjoy adventure sports in the Scottish Highlands. Warm, comfortable with wood burning stoves in the communal areas and a good sized kitchen. Ideal for a large group as we were. The excellent restaurant is close to hand also

Stayed here for a few night, found it whilst looking for low cost accommodation. Insh Hall is part of a Watersports complex on the shore of Loch Insh and this whole facility is amazing. Basic rooms but clean and the staff cleaned and changed towels on the second day, kids loved it - loved the bunk beds. (other, more luxurious... More

I stayed at Insh Hall for one night and arrived after reception hours. After a bit of detective work I finally found my name on a list on the notice board and realised that the key to my room was in the door - room 20. The room had an overpowering smell of creosote but I was pleased to find... More

Dear Alimck89 Many thanks for your review and I am really glad you enjoyed your room and stay with us. We did have a wedding onsite that week and when I checked back with our front office, you had been emailed to say that the Boathouse was closed on that evening. That is all we can do in these circumstances... More

Stayed in a two bed chalet for a week. It is in a nice situation and had some lovely birds visiting the garden along with a friendly red squirrel. However the lodge itself was very tired. Some of the ikea furniture was a lot worse than some things I have got rid of. The sofa had no padding left and... More

Dear Holidaydiva Many thanks for your review and I am really pleased you enjoyed the beauty of our site. I thought initially you may have stayed in a chalet but because this review is on the Insh Hall page, would it be correct to say you stayed in one of the apartments in Insh Hall? If so, I would agree... More

We arrived at Loch Insh to be told we were in a chalet. We were directed to the chalet and I began to unpack. Another couple arrived and told us that this was their chalet. We were then directed to 'the bunkhouse' Room 12. This was just short of being a cupboard containing two single beds and a bunk bed... More

Dear Mr and Mrs Milne. It is a great shame that you felt the need to do this and you have left me with no choice but to share with people who may read this review the actual response I wrote to you after your departure which is not patronising. Points to note include: 1. You only paid for B&B... More

Insh Hall is great value - a sort of midway between a hostel and B&B. You get continental breakfast in the boat house restaurant a short walk from the hall. I had a room with one bunkbed in, plus wash basin, and shared use of shower and loos. Access never an issue. Thick curtains kept the light out. Heating on... More

I was sort of expecting B&B/guesthouse and so was disappointed. It is pretty basic. We had room 17, a tiny single room, and room 20, a twin/sometimes double. On entering room 17 it was freezing and uninviting, but at least with it being so small it didn't take long to heat up once I turned on the radiator. The rooms... More
