First impressions when arriving at this hotel was it looks a little tired and needs a good refurbishment. Staff at reception where lovely and very helpful. Again arriving at my room, although very clean and spacious from the first outlook, minor details and faults let it down. The bathroom had a lovely big bath, 2 sinks, a shower cubicle and toilet. Bath tap was slack, the toilet seat slack, shower had mouldy spots in the corner of tiles and wood was rotting in places off the damp. Sinks not bad but minor marks on mirror. The cleaners I have to add do a fantastic job keeping the rooms as immaculate as possible. The Wifi was a complete joke, some things worked well and others not at all. In the end I ended up every day at reception using the hotels private Wifi to get things done. The good points, the staff are excellent and will help you in every way they can, The Gardens and gardeners are excellent and very well maintained. They work tirelessly to keep them maintained. Again the pool is beautiful and has a lovely infinity pool with a small children’s area. Beaches are beautiful and outside the hotel area well maintained, but if you go for a walk in either direction be prepared for the horrible sites like rubbish etc. We where on Half board here and found the service and food excellent, with a big choice to choose from. This hotel also has an excellent tailor shop, Raul the Tailor made me 2 pairs of Linen trousers and the wife 2 beautiful silk tunics, all at very reasonable prices. The bedroom has a few good tv stations, had a slight problem with the English movie channel as it kept switching off half way through a film, and we had to keep reminding the hotel it needed switching back on, but these faults are minor. The room I was staying in on the ground floor also boasted a narrow 25m swimming pool, the wife loved it as every morning she would wake up and go out to swim a few lengths, this was also cleaned daily. I did have a wonderful stay here and have wrote quite a few minor points, what looks when reading pretty bad. But they are only minor points and the only reason I couldn’t write 5 stars. Give this hotel a minor makeover and it would be perfect. Would I stay here again, of course I would, it’s a beautiful area and immaculate garden, Pool And Beach, who wouldn’t.

A warm welcome is always guaranteed when you stay at this genteel resort . I have stayed here five times now and the resort is all about making your stay the best it could be . Although the accommodation is older it is nevertheless very clean and the rooms are quite spacious . The breakfast is very varied and cater for all nationalities and cultures .we ate in their restaurant quite frequently and enjoyed all our meals , we ate from their Thai menu and it was delicious and reasonably priced . The beach is amazing and sun beds and towels are provided . The staff across the board are helpful , patient and very pleasant . This is a great place to stay give it a go !

We stayed in a pool villa and had a lovely time. All of the staff were incredible, very friendly and helpful.
The room was very comfortable, everything was clean and beautiful.
The private pool in the villa was nice to lounge in, especially if you have a float. It’s not completely hidden from view and people walking by could see in so no skinny dipping here.
Prices at the restaurant and mini bar are expensive but that’s normal for resorts like this. There are restaurants and shops within walking distance so you aren’t stuck at the resort if you don’t want to be.
They also offer two computers in the lobby for guest use which was very convenient when we had some unexpected work to take care of.
On Saturdays they offer a buffet dinner with live music and traditional Thai dancing. It was a lovely evening.
We enjoyed our stay and would certainly return.

Where do I start.. firstly I tend to not take every bad review as given as we all have different expectations for hotel standards. However in this case I felt we had no choice but to share our negative experience at this hotel to help others carefully think about whether they should waste their time and money here.
The reception and greeting on arrival set the tone for our shortened stay at this terrible hotel. Very dull and grim reception lobby with staff not very welcoming- can hardly blame them working in that environment. Nothing like the warm and friendly Thai hospitality we have received at the other 4 hotels we stayed at. The hotel in self is quite remote with the surrounding grounds looking over grown and not maintained.
Hotel areas are mainly unkept, water features are dirty with grim and scum lining the features and a sprinkling of dead cockroaches in the reception.
The room is big but that’s the only positive comment. On closer inspection the room was filthy, had quite clearly not had a deep clean in a long time.
Bathroom mirror, tiling, taps etc all unclean, room cupboards thick with dust, all furniture dusty covered in debris- it seems that the bed was the only thing the housekeeping team acknowledged. The room is tired looking, in general the entire hotel looks poorly maintained. I can ignore a well worn hotel but cleanliness is something not to be compromised and is a basic expectation from any hotel accommodation.
The restaurant continues the hotel theme, waiting staff are not friendly, the food quality is quite frankly awful. Even basic foods such as a pizza was served barely warm and unpalatable. The breakfast was the worse, very few items and what was available was not worth consuming out of fear of becoming unwell.
We had half board stay and was given coupons for each meal which seemed very dated and slightly annoying as staff seemed obsessive on us providing these - there was no fear that anyone would try their luck at a free meal as even the poor stray cat refused to eat what was served to me as smoked salmon.
We booked this hotel as part of a package through Voyage Privé, when we complained to the manager we were not offered any way of resolving these issues and she seemed disinterested in the issues we raised.
We are far from people who complain over the slightest things as we spend most of our time outside any hotel, but as this place was so terrible with cleanliness we checked out after 1 night of a planned 7 night stay as we refused to let this place dampen our Thailand experience.
Be wary of reading positive reviews on this hotel such as on booking.com as we went with the expectation of a good hotel stay to have to leave early due to the terrible experience we encountered.

We were very disappointed in this hotel. We always do our research and check reviews and multiple sites but only came across positive reviews. We booked the highest room class which was the Grand Villa. The photos and the description showed a traditional style Thai villa with a sitting room, bedroom and bathroom with a private pool and deck. However when we arrived is when the trouble started. No one greeted us other hotels had done. No one helped with our bags when we arrived. A very solum looking boy brought our cold towels and a drink and spoke a few words. No smiles no warm greeting. We were then driven to our villa and were shocked. The pool is right out I’m front and everyone walking by and the neighbors next to us plus the neighbors in the main building looking down at us so nothing private about it at all. The door did not lock properly. The room was a sauna when we walked in so not prepared at all. The worst is when we went to the bathroom to check it out there was feces in the toilet and the seat was extremely dirty. I thought maybe it was old and stained but when I tried to wipe it the dirt came off. I was disgusted. I called the hotel manager who showed us another villa but it too was not very clean and not private. When I showed her the photos of the villa online and how it looked like it was private she replied that they were staged and the photographer used different angles. I told her that’s deceitful and asked to cancel the reservation for a full refund. They did do that immediately but it was just a horrible experience and the staff were not friendly or helpful like the Thai people we have grown to know and love. This hotel needs some updates and a change in management to make this better. Till then stay away.

Dear Aaron, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are truly sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations, particularly with regard to the privacy, cleanliness, and service of your villa. These aspects are essential to providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience, and it is clear that we fell short during your visit. We deeply regret the oversight in preparing your villa and the issues you encountered with the bathroom's cleanliness, as this is far below the standard we aim to maintain. Your feedback regarding the lack of privacy in the Grand Villa and the discrepancy between the online photos and the actual experience is also concerning. We are committed to reviewing how we present our accommodations to ensure a more accurate representation and to prevent such misunderstandings. Additionally, we apologize for the unwelcoming reception you received. Providing warm and attentive hospitality is central to what we stand for, and it’s disappointing to hear that you didn’t feel that during your stay. We will be addressing this with our team to ensure better service in the future. While we are glad that we were able to resolve the refund for you quickly, we regret that your experience was not reflective of the service and quality we strive to deliver. We truly appreciate your feedback and will be taking steps to improve in the areas you highlighted. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts with us. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a significantly improved experience should you choose to stay with us again in the future. Best Regards, Hotel Management Team

Very beautiful hotel architecturally. Very nice swimming pool. Some rooms including ours (109 near the swimming pool - very well located) really need to be renovated - outdated bathroom equipment - Air conditioning that blows in your face at night (split system very poorly placed) - 2 dangerous steps to go to the bathroom; Very slow bar and restaurant service. beautiful, fairly clean beach. 3 swimming pools in total. Not enough deck chairs and umbrellas on the beach. So, could do better with such an architectural decor.

The hotel looks good at first glance. Especially if you arrive late. In the morning, unfortunately, the sober truth emerges.
The rooms are quite nice, but they need a little love and an update to conceal the ravages of time. The floorboards are not so nice anymore, the ceiling lights are worn out, the air conditioning smells damp and is very loud, the cupboard doors sag and the sinks are much too deep.
The complex is unfortunately not green and the cladding on the buildings and villas is missing everywhere. You can see that some still have some, but most are really worn out. The turf laid a year ago has not grown and is dried out and unfortunately many palm trees have been cut down within the complex. So there is little shade.
The breakfast is OK. But it is warmer in the buffet room than outside and unfortunately the food is not covered.
One positive thing was a free and very surprising room upgrade with pool access. Very nice and really great.
However, the communal pools are cleaned too rarely. This continues to tarnish the overall impression.

A real gem, tucked away on beautiful Maenam beach and just perfect if you want to be close enough to the main areas but stay in a quiet setting. Rooms are very large and beds are comfortable. Staff are really friendly and informative. The infinity pool is practically on the beach with an abundance of sun loungers both at the pool and on the beach. The beach is superb with a fantastic beach bar next door but very little else. Happy hour happens twice a day at the swim up bar. Breakfast is plentiful and we were well catered for as vegans. We only ate at the hotel on our first night and it was nothing special but the beach bar next door does excellent food! There are a few local bars and restaurants close by but not too many and all very good. You can have a lovely massage on the beach, though slightly more expensive than in the town. Worth it to listen to the waves, just perfect.

Dear Passport55488933924, Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and positive review. It's absolutely heartening to hear that our resort served as a perfect sanctuary for relaxation. We're also pleased to read your commendations regarding the spacious rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff, our infinity pool and of course, our enviable location on the beautiful Maenam beach. We are proud to offer a peaceful retreat with the added convenience of proximity to main areas for our guests. It was also gratifying to learn that our breakfast offerings were plentiful and that your dietary requirements as vegans were well catered to. We have taken note of your feedback regarding the dinner on your first night at our hotel and promise to revisit our menu to enhance our guest's dining experience. We appreciate your recommendation of the beach bar next door and we're happy to know you enjoyed its excellent food offerings. Your mention of local bars and restaurants nearby being very good is also appreciated, as we aim to provide an overall positive experience in the area for our guests. Thank you for your comments regarding the beach massage; we understand the price point may have been higher than usual but are glad you found the experience valuable overall. Once again, thank you for your glowing review. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the near future, where you may experience improvements made based on your valuable feedback. Best Regards, Hotel Management Team

We stayed at this Resort the first night of our holiday, waiting for the transfer to Ko Tao.
The room was spacious and cozy, with a beautiful pool accessible directly from the balcony. Both the room and the bathroom were clean and in perfect condition.
Although we only had a brief look at the beach on the morning of checkout, it seemed well equipped with umbrellas and sun loungers.
Breakfast was good, although it could offer a greater variety to suit international tastes.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, even offering us a ride to the pier for the ferry.
The only point to improve is the Wi-Fi, which unfortunately did not work.

Yes they are in your bedrooms along with a cute wee carrying basket to take to the pool
We went with our 21 year old daughter felt safe everywhere, cheap eat drinks and entertainment all around
To be honest it’s cheaper to hire a car, there is a car hire just down the road from the hotel which was fine.
The hotel does offer a shuttle but it leaves at 4pm not sure the return time.
No. There is the odd dog roaming but nothing as bad as it was . (So I am told ) i hate dogs and I didn’t notice the dog “thing” .
Hey hello
Samui Buri, was absolutely amazing, we had an amazing time.
Yes you can get just drinks from the bar/restaurant.
They had themed bbq nights too and the seafood platter was amazing.
The staff were so lovely too can’t do enough to help and make everything perfect.
Let me know if you have any other questions
