19 of us descended on Auris for a 6 day ski holiday. Le Beausite could accommodate all of us and Madame Camille and the rest of the hotel people couldn't do enough for us. Every time we got a friendly smile even when we were a bit loud during dinner!!! The rooms were very comfortable and the beds looked after our sore bodies after the slopes. A roaring fire welcomed us home every day before we sat down for great dinner. Possibly the best Tartiflette I've ever had.

Auris is a small village, but perfect size if you don't want the craziness of Alpe d'Huez. I can recommend this hotel and village 100%!!!

We'll be back in 2018!

We stayed at the hotel for two nights, yet it was one of the highlights of our week-long trip in Provence. Camille tended to our needs with genuine care. I felt that we were true guests rather than just customers! The quality of food was also very good!

We arrived late on a drizzly night in July and were shown to our room - up a narrow, grey painted staircase to a very basic grey painted room (and I'm talking 'charcoal'.) I wanted to kill my husband for bringing me to such a dismal, depressing place. Then dawn broke and we were greeted by the stunning enormity of the mountains, and a warm welcome from Camille and David, the owners. My husband was there to cycle Alpe Duez (the mountain next door) - apparently the nearby ski lift that connects Auris with Alpe Duez is open when the Tour de France is there, so it's a good place to stay - you can just nip over without taking the car. Breakfast was croissants, fresh bread and jam etc and we had a lovely meal in the evening - the chef even conjoured a veggie meal for me, a rarity in France. While husband cycled,I curled up with a book by the fire and generally loafed. While I would question the 'manic depressive' style of room decor, it was a clean, pleasant place to stay with friendly, accommodating hosts.

We stayed for a week at Hotel Le Beau Site in June. The owners are very sweet people who do their best, at least the lady of the house is, I was not so sure about her husband. Mainly because he is doing the work behind the scenes so to speak. We are not familiar with ski hotels, we never stayed in one, and this was our first time. We were there to cycle. We asked for a big room when we made the reservations, when Camille showed us our room we were a bit surprised. The room was very dark (purple painted and dark wooden walls and ceiling) it felt very small and narrow and we my husband and I were constantly in each other’s way. The bed is not a double but something in between a one person and a one and a half person size. Very uncomfortable…..and too small for a European male….I think it was 1.80 long….Breakfast was included, but normally we book hotels like the Riu and Iberostar. I was not expecting a breakfast served like in those hotels but what we got was really poor. Only two croissants and 2 pieces of bread for two persons…..when I asked for extra croissant (I don’t eat bread) a firm “NO!”from the owner was the reply. Apparently my shocked face was not what he was after and he gave me ONE extra croissant…..now friends of mine told me that this is a normal breakfast in France, so I can not hold that against them, so I won’t. I just mention this for other people who have never stayed in a ski hotel. We paid 150 euro per night which I find extreme for what is offered. A room the size of a match box and a very poor breakfast. The dinner we had only once and was good, only if you are a vegetarian there is not much choice………..

Nice and small hotel in the small resort of Auris in the Alpe d’ Huez area. The hotel is simple but nice and clean. Good food with all the local specialités. It’ s easy access to the rest of the skiaarea and at this time of the season no people at all! We recomend this place to everyone!

Lovely hotel, room and balcony small but cosy. Menu for dinner is BBQ and was fantastic, very tasty and quick. Breakfast was limited choice but adequate. Great views over the mountains and on the road up the mountain. Friendly hosts.

We found this friendly, warm place at the last evening of our holiday. The stuff is exremely kind, helpful, and they speak english well. If we knew this restaurant earlier we would spend all of our dinners here.

We stayed here whilst competing in La Marmotte sportive. We were greeted with a warm welcome by helpful and friendly owners. There is wonderful scenery and views The food was very good and we appreciated their special effort in providing breakfast very early before we left for the event at 6 am. We will be rebooking here for next year's event.
