We booked here as there was minimal availability in the area. The place is average and needs a bit of attention. It is equipped with all you need for a self catering cottage. It was a bit small for a family of 4 especially with a 1 year old and on days when you forced to stay indoors due to...

Dolphin View C, Owner at Dolphin View Chalets, responded to this review

Good afternoon. Regarding the opinions expressed by Mrs Bhaya, she is of course entitled to her own. BUT, She states that the road leading here (owned by the Municipality) is 10 kms long. This untarred road which leads both to Dolphin View and our neighbour Misty Mountain, is in verifiable fact, 5.2 kms long. 2.2 kms from where it leaves...

I love the way the owner has put so much effort in the tiniest details when it comes to the decor. The beautiful grassy meadows and grazing cows makes you think for once, that you are somewhere in the English countryside. Everyone we encountered in the Tsitsikama area was so friendly , even the people at the Tourist Information centre...

We just arrived unannounced at this property after a long day sightseeing so had our fingers crossed that they'd have availability - Our luck was in - the managers of the cottages helped get us set up in one of the chalets, brought us some cake and offered loads of advice on whet to do and see. It is a...

We stayed at the Dolphin View chalets over the Easter weekend. The chalets are nicely done up, clean, comfortable and well equipped with anything you might need. Each chalet has its own braai, overlooking the ocean. The views at this place are the best and Barbara and Elle Marie who run the place, are absolutely delightful. They are friendly and...

On a rainy afternoon, driving around this area, hoping for a nice place to stay, we came across the number for dolphin view! We had lost alot of hope and after talking to Barbara, who had no more space, but offered us a bed in her house if were out of luck, and plenty of info of other options, we...

Beautiful place to be in. We arrived in mist and rain and Barbara, the owner was very nice and helpful to us. The next morning, after a good nights sleep, we woke up and saw the view; stunning. Especially in the dolphin and whale season this is a little piece of heaven on earth. Later on in the morning we...

Who would not want to be able to have a braai outside your front door overlooking the ocean with views of wales. It is slightly off the beaten track but this means quiet for me. The access to the Tsitsikamma National Park was good and the activities like Canopy Tours were close by. It is a lovely place to enjoy...

We arrived around 8pm, as I walked across the grass to the door I could feel hundreds of insects bumping again a my legs. When the lights came on it was swarms of flies which followed us inside like a plague. This was in the main house, perhaps the cottages are better. We'll never know as we left at 5:30am...

Stayed here in December 2011. You need to have a different kinda perspective or ideology to be digging up places like this. Places like Dolhpin View Chalets are not your ordinary run of the mill tourist lodge kinda place, I don't know how to describe this place.... its like Zion... heavenly abode. Nothing could be more beautiful than the setting...
