We were lucky enough to stay here during the low season during Covid which meant they had some good deals on at the time. The best feature by far is the swimming pool overlooking the beach and Koh Phangan. The rooms were clean and tidy. We were upgraded to the beachfront room which was nice to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Thank you to Meow for organising it for us. Breakfast was average - i think due to Covid they struggles a little. But we managed okay. I would not be happy with the food if i was paying normal rates as this hotel can get very expensive indeed. We would only return if we had to pay no more than 3500THB a night. Anything more and it doesnt feel like its priced correctly. It certainly however, has the best location of all the hotels in Bophut. We are hoping to return soon if affordable.

Perfect stay. Employees are helpful and competent. Room super clean and nicely furnished. Swimming pool with sea view. Small improvement on the breakfast like natural orange juice will make this place one of the best in the world.

The Hansar has been on my to-visit ever since it opened and created a splash on international travel magazines a few years back, and I am glad to finally experience this great property now at a time when travelers are lacking. The hotel is a low rise three-floor beautiful red building (note that there are no elevators so if you have bad knees then ask for a ground floor room). That means the higher floors do get better views, and I stayed in a XL seaview room that is extremely spacious with a four poster bed and a free standing black bath tub. The entry level rooms are also spacious (I was given one to use on my last day as a shower room) and it actually is enough for a couple as well. The only difference is that there is no bathtub and comes with one sink instead if a double vanity counter. The XL room also have a sitting area in front of the bed, with two lounge chairs and a larger balcony with wider daybed. The balcony at the Hansar is definitely what dreams are made of! The furniture and decor is contemporary and functional you can actually sit outdoors and not be any awkward sitting positions. They clearly have thought of the ergonomics of the furniture with the human form and its perfect to lounge outside on the afternoons enjoying the sea breeze. The bed in the rooms is also super comfy; its not very hard and the mattress topper wonderfully wraps around you when sleeping, and the pillows are also firm enough for side sleepers - I usually have to request for a memory gel pillow but unsure if the Hansar has a pillow menu since the ones did the job. The bathroom is open-concept and has a generous sized shower area with a rain shower faucet at the celling and also, a handheld faucet. Water gets hot relatively quick and the accompanying toiletries have a strong scent, which can be either love or hate - I find them ok, and love how well they emulsify to clean the sun block off with just one rinse. Other essentials like mosquito repellent, hand wash, vanity kits and toothbrush with big proper Colgate tubes are also available. There is also a standard hair dryer, beach tote bag, bedroom slippers, kettle, lipton tea bags, and ground coffee with a french press. Service at the hotel is very good - staff were all friendly without being intrusive, and they all make an effort to accommodate guests’ requests (a wonderful receptionist, with eyeglasses even moved me into a room with a better view in my second night!), and this makes the hotel really special. From the amazing views from rooms to service, its hard to fault anything, if I really have to nit-pick maybe the fact that - despite amazing fresh softener-scented towels - my pillow cases didnt smell as crisp as I’d like, one if the pillow case had a slight moldy smell, but the others were fine.

The view and the hotel landscape design is nice. I love the view and the size of the patios. The swimming pool is also nice. The problem is the room function either the room is too small. Me and my husband accidentally always kick the bed leg. The worst is their pool happy hour drink is start At 18:30 . I wonder who drink at 18:30?

This is my first trip to Samui and i found this hotel is pretty excellent on view, location, room interiors, and the most important is the best bedding ever. Different with other hotels, Hansar also has their standard room facing the sea so you can see the best view every morning with a nice semi outdoor seating area. I found the pillow and the mattress are so amazingly comfortable compare to other 5 stars hotels that i ever been before. The food selection at the restaurant not that much but the taste is really nice!! Location for sure is very strategic, pretty close with cool places and restaurants such as Coco Tam (try the pork chop, it's the best i ever had so far) with fire show at night. I would recommend this hotel for sure!!!
