The Ibis Hotel, located at Bophut, Koh Samui, is an ideal option for travellers seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay in a prime beachfront location. The hotel features clean and well-maintained rooms that offer a relaxing retreat for guests, ensuring a pleasant stay. The staff provides attentive and professional service that adds value to the guest experience, making visitors feel welcomed and well taken care of during their stay.

One of the hotel's standout features is its superb location directly facing the beach, enabling guests to enjoy stunning views and convenient access to the sandy shores and clear waters of Koh Samui. Additionally, the hotel's pet-friendly policy is an excellent advantage for guests travelling with their furry companions, ensuring that everyone in the family can enjoy a memorable vacation together.

While the hotel excels in many areas, including its rooms, service, and location, a few areas could be improved. One such area is the breakfast service, where guests have noted that more variety and warmer food would enhance the dining experience. By addressing this aspect, the hotel could further elevate overall guest satisfaction and provide a more well-rounded experience for visitors.

Despite this minor drawback, the Ibis Hotel in Bophut, Koh Samui, remains highly recommended for families with young children seeking a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Koh Samui. With its clean and comfortable rooms, excellent service, and beachfront location, the hotel offers a great setting for a memorable vacation experience on this beautiful island.

We came 2 nights at separate times: and we are satisfied.
There are several swimming pools, well maintained and my beach is close to go or enjoy the view. There is also a restaurant near the pool.
The rooms are nice with a small balcony, small but practical bathroom with a shower.
Award: we booked in February 2 rooms (for us and child) for a total of 66 euros / night
For beach towels: we asked at the bar: giving our room number and number of people we easily got towels.
The first time: the reception was a bit complex because we did not want to sign some kind of register for the non-payment of cash deposit (I still did not understand the purpose of the deposit). The second was nice, we were even introduced to the fitness room and space warns him.
PS.we have not tested breakfast

This hotel has been a delightful surprise. I booked it last minute as my booking at the Eden bungalows had been cancelled due to forgetting to update my new credit card, so I wasn't expecting much. I arrived to find that I had a room overlooking a wall. I contacted reception and requested an upgrade, which I could get without a problem. It cost a bit more but well worth it. I had a lovely room overlooking five swimming pools and the sea in the background. The rooms are spotless and have everything you could need for a comfortable stay like a kettle and tea and coffee as well as a fridge they also give you an electric card which means you don't have to come back to a stiflingly hot room as you can leave the aircon on if you want to the hotel is set out in beautiful gardens with lots of foliage. It has two restaurants, one inside where they also do breakfast and one outside at the pool bar area. There is an undercover area with comfortable settee-type chairs where you can relax out of the sun if you want to. There are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, enough to go around. So, you can sit close to and overlooking the sea or around one of the pools. There are adult and children's pools and a play park for kids. The hotel is well set up for families while, at the same time, there are plenty of places for adults without children to go to relax quietly. The food at the hotel was delicious, and breakfast was a buffet with many choices. It has an egg bar where you can get your eggs done in any way you like them besides all the other foods that go to make up breakfast cereal, yoghurt, fruit, a bakery section, different fruit duces and tea and a variety of coffees. I had a few meals during the day and in the evening in the open-air restaurant, all of which were very good. The staff were all very polite and attentive, but they couldn't do enough for you. The hotel is about fifteen minutes from the fisherman's village; however, it is shorter if you walk along the beach.
Overall, this hotel was set out well, maintained well, and presented as well as any four-star I have stayed in. I was very impressed, and if I ever returned to Koh Samui, this would be my hotel. I can highly recommend this hotel.

A 3 star hotel with 5 star plus service

We’ve visited Samui 7 times, this is the first to stay in Bophut and the Ibis

We had a great check in with Khun Boss having arrived by taxi from the airport @ 400 baht. He was a star throughout our stay, checking on our plans and if we needed anything.

Stayed 11 nights on bed and breakfast.

The good

- plenty of sunbeds
- Great choice at breakfast and good noodle soup, variety of foods and omelette chefs. Khun Por and Khun Sun superb and unflustered. Khun Som and Khun Lin made us feel very welcome and an excellent hostess. Lovely that the head chef also came and checked how our breakfast was. It was also lovely to see Khun Noom and management actively checking the grounds and pools on the morning management walk about
- Lovely gardens / pools and beach and stunning view
- Room well maintained and no mould in bathroom and nice towels (24/07 )
- Nice (paid) shuttle service to chaweng / fisherman’s village / airport
- Great that the security guard will help you across road

The better

- lovely suite room with 2 toilets, very quiet and super air conditioning
- Reception team always extra happy and give a greeting when we pass
- Stunning cleaners, our room was always cleaned immaculately and whilst we were having breakfast which is amazing!
- Brilliant gardeners, always cheerful and greeting us
- Actually had a sea view for one person from balcony
- Evening restaurant at beachside was lovely, gorgeous setting, superb service (Khun Nick and Khun Chid) and food was delicious , with a lovely presentation. Low key music with the waves lapping on the shore.
- Every member of the hard working team seemed really happy working here
- Khun Mind gave an excellent check out and thanked us for our stay and loyalty.
- -Khun Down gave excellent airport transfer

Only small negative. And not really the hotels fault - It’s a shame that the quiet adult only pool didn’t always remain so.

Great hotel for the money. The rooms are on the small side, but are clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly, and always available to help out. The pool area is great, and the location is perfect with beach access and a relaxed 20min walk to fisherman's village, or a cheap taxi ride. The breakfast buffet is brilliant, with plenty of choice and the staff are constantly bringing fresh food, the egg station and noodles are lovely.

Pros: Good hotel, reasonably priced. Located in quiet area. Direct Beach access. Several swimming pools and a table-tennis table. Laundry and Gym facilities. Happy hours: 2 drinks for price of one in later afternoon. 7-Eleven about 70m away. Several local eateries nearby, variety is not as great as the area near Fisherman Village. Friendly and helpful staff.

Cons: room is small, no table for dining or work. 30 mins walk to Fisherman Village, could be sweltering on a hot summer day.

Tips: bring mosquito repellent. No CNN or BBC on room TV, so bring your own Tablet or iPad to watch your own news channels on your own device.

Clean beach, good service bar staff.Breakfast has a variety to choose . The restaurant staff provide good service. Cocktails at a great price,we recommend By 1 get 1 free, delicious cocktails, The room is very cleaned, hotel not far from the fishing village. Recommend going to relax by the pool. There will be employees taking good care of you. Even though sometimes many people are spoiled, food and drinks are cheap. Really recommended for relaxation. We will come back.

located only a 10 min walk along the beach or 15 min main road to fisherman’s village it was near where we wanted to visit.

The hotel has a few smaller pools to trade for the average beach which is only a metre or so in depth towards the water (murky) so adults and kids have somewhere to cool off on a hot day.

Staff at the hotel are lovely and welcoming

Our family joint room was and clean, comfy beds, high powered showers and balconies over looking walkway to the pools

breakfast selection is good if you want an easy bite to eat in the mornings before heading off to explore Samui.

washing and dryer machines on site and you can purchase laundry tablets at front desk also

massages available on site near the pools also.

We also tried the food from the pool area, pizzas and wedges we good. Washed these down with a few drinks from the menu also.

If you’re staying at the hotel on the night the fisherman’s market is open if 100% recommend snack at the hotel and eat at the market or the restaurants close by as they are fantastic.

Coco Tams fireshow just up the beach is the best we saw while in Thailand

Beachfront accommodation at a cheap priceBreakfast is great value for money. The restaurant staff provide very good service. Very compact and clean room There is a coin-operated washing machine. Even though it's far, it's a bit of a walk to the fishing village. I like the bar because they have drinks at great prices. Happy hours beer is 100 baht per bottle. We order 2 small buckets at a time. Relax and look at the view at the beach. Kayak is 200 baht. The staff here are all lovelyIn the evening there is live music for 200-500 which is great. This is not the first time we have stayed in this hotel. But this year we felt changes were not for the better...

When booking the hotel, we paid for breakfast for the whole family (me, my husband and my 7-year-old daughter), but according to the new rules, they ask you to pay 100 baht per child for each day.
The rooms have terrible humidity, wet walls, bed linen.
But these are all minor things compared to the pool. I do not recommend anyone to swim in it! My daughter (a big fan of swimming and diving) caught rotavirus there. And I had to spend several days under IVs in the hospital. Medicine, as you know in Thailand, is not cheap, it cost about 200 thousand. Several other families faced the same problem.
Overall, we will remember this vacation for a long time...

Hello. I read there is a shuttle bus from the hotel to central festval at chaweng. What time would that be?
Answer from Kirill M
Dear TrailsOfAnne, We have a shuttle mini van running from ibis to Central Festival Chaweng at 11:00, 14:00, 18:00 & 19:00. There is 1 shuttle bus return trip from Central Festival Chaweng to ibis at 22:00. The price of shuttle bus is THB50/person/trip. Kindly pre-book 20-30 minutes in advance at our Transportation counter in the lobby. We look forward to welcoming you to Samui in the near future! Warm Regards, Kirill M.
Answer from Kirill M
Dear Susan, At the moment almost entire ring road around Samui island has on going foot-path and water drain upgrade works. The portion between uor hotel and Fisherman's village is also being worked on. Unfortunately, local municipality does not release exact project dates, however in various areas the footpath has been 100% completed and in some areas the work is on-going. As an alternative, you will be able to walk to Fisherman's villas along the beautiful beach, or catch our shuttle bus in the evenings. We look forward to welcoming you back! Warm Regards, Kirill M.
